Episode description

How many of us are talking about the issues going on “these days”? And truly there ARE issues “these days”. However, if we are honest, when has there not been “these days” with something or other? Often when we look back, we fondly remember the “old days”. What we tend to forget is that, while the “old days” truly had some better things, they also had worse things. Decades ago we may not have had COVID or explosive elections, but we also had inflation and energy crises, world wars, cold wars, horrid racism, shocking sexism, no cell phones, no personal computers, and people dying or crippled by medical conditions that we just don’t worry about anymore. The more you go back historically the brighter things appear. Truly life is a mixed bag and has always involved struggle. Life requires resiliency. Fortunately, you are wired for resiliency. You are a champion and overcomer. AND you are one with a God, Who is masterful at redeeming humanity and all creation. You have a SOLID reason for optimism.
