One of the most damaging things that religions do, including, and unfortunately often in the most toxic way, the Christian religion, is put some people “outside of God”. We have been guilty of this, because we are terrified that, if we don’t create such distinctions, we are sending people or are going ourselves to hell with some form of eternal conscious torment. Yikes! But Christ, as the Eternal Word, repeatedly told us to look to Him, not to ourselves, our own understanding, and our efforts.
