Catechized

Josh Harstinepodcast.catechized.org
[WE are a podcast about the historic, reformed confessions and catechisms. We are hoping to connect the church of the present with the church of the past in order to equip Christians today to know why they believe what they believe in a way that enables them to pass on the faith to the next generation.] // BASICALLY - we've both benefitted a lot from study of the Westminster and Heidelberg catechisms - and other similar things- and we think that they are underrated. We want to share what has been exciting for us to learn in a way that makes old reformed documents more interesting and accessible. // SO give us a chance - the souls of your children depend upon it! //// ABOUT your hosts: // JOSH is a high school Bible teacher and classic 'jack of all trades, master of none' ... at least the master of none part. He is a graduate of Grove City College and Reformed Theological Seminary (DC) and is newly married to a beautiful woman who is grateful for another outlet for his biblical and theological ramblings. (She requests that you all keep listening so that she has some continued rest from, "just another thing I was thinking about.") // JON 'the divine' is originally from in the middle of nowhere in Michigan. He grew up in a Lutheran church memorizing creeds and singing liturgies like it was his job, until he went to college and the Reformed tradition got ahold of him. Now, he is a student at Reformed Theological Seminary, a director of youth ministry in his local church, and a heavy consumer of books, film, and music.
