In this episode of Catching North Stars I have a conversation with Charlie Oliver about her wide-ranging career in media and technology, starting out in film and television and moving into new media and tech as the technology - and the possibilities evolved. Charlie started Served Fresh Media in New York City in 2006, taking advantage of new media. Recognizing her ability to predict how emerging and disruptive tech would change industries, Charlie has been called upon by many major companies to provide guidance on how to think about and incorporate new tech into their operations. She developed Tech 2025 as a space where people can work on emerging tech design possibilities in a welcoming environment. In our conversation, Charlie shares her excitement and frustrations about emerging tech, discussing how the large number of significant new tech that has emerged in recent years is both exciting and unprecedented.
