This week on Catch Up, James and Jordan discuss two artists with similar names but very contrasting styles.
First, the pair talk about the Bronx’s A Boogie wit da Hoodie, touching on his origins in the New York rap scene, his debt to the late southern rapper Speaker Knockerz, his feud with Lil B, his excellent 2016 EP ‘TBA’, and his extremely disappointing sophomore LP ‘Hoode SZN’.
The pair then turn their attention to Compton, California rapper Boogie, tracing his career from his breakout single ‘Oh My’ up to the release of his excellent debut album ‘Everythings For Sale’.
