Today's topic: Sunshine Anderson

You've heard her lead single "Heard It All Before" released May 21, 2001. Peaked at number 18 on the billboard hot 100 and at number three on the R&B charts. I was hearing Anderson single a lot. It seems like everywhere I went I heard that song. It came from her album titled Your Woman released in April 2001. The album debuted at number eight on billboard hot 200 and number two on Top R&B charts.

After hearing the chorus of the single Heard It All Before, it was the harmony that made me pay attention. Then I began to pay attention to Anderson's message. Then I had to hear it from the beginning. And whenever I heard it again and again, it made me tap my feet, and it made me think about dancing. I thought: OK! That song got me.” And I always listen when she gets to the part “Look who's hurting now” and wait for that line to be repeated. And off and on in the song I would hear the music play the chorus. Sunshine Anderson was getting down with a new sound and a new song. She had a unique way with how she sang the message to her song with the music and backup singers. The song is about a woman who was fed up and tired of lies from her man.
