He is a two time Emmy Award winner, bill Board Air Personality of the Year winner, an inductee into the California Music Hall of Fame twenty twenty three, and recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Born in San Diego, Kelly worked at KDEO, k p R I, KGB, KC B Q, KO g O, kb ZS, and KFMBFM before replacing the late Dawn Steele in the afternoon slot at Los Angeles oldiest station k r T h f M k Earth
one oh one. In August twenty fifteen, he was taken off the air and became krth's ambassador, doing personal appearances throughout southern California. He eventually returned to the air as a weekend host. He exited KRTH in November twenty sixteen. In September twenty eighteen, he debuted on serious XM satellite radios Sixties on sixth Channel, now known as the Sixties Gold Channel. Kelly has appeared on
several television stations since the early nineteen seventies. In nineteen seventy, he took a weekend job at television station Carol Bakersfield to host a Saturday morning television kids show as Nimo the Clown. In nineteen seventy two, Kelly was asked to host Words of Poppin', a game show for kids. The show aired in San Diego on KGTV Channel ten and was also syndicated in several other cities. Kelly went on to win two Emmy Awards as hosts for the show. Kelly
has also done some voiceover Shotgun to Tie. Tom's voice is featured in the motion picture Dejavou, starring Denzel Washington, and on America's Most Wanted and Spike TV's one Thousand Ways to Die.
