Hello! I’m Gail Nobles on the Cat Bear. Today I’m going to talk to you about Doug E. Fresh known as the beatbox trainer and known as the entertainer. D-O-U-G-I-E Fresh. He’s explosively awesome with sound effects just using his mouth, lips, tongue, and microphone.

You remember his hits, “The Show, All the Way To Heaven, Keep Rising to the Top, and La Di Da Di” just to name a few.

In the early 1980’s, he formed the Get Fresh Crew with DJs Chill Will and Barry B and later added Slick Rick. Two of their songs The Show and La Di Da Di are considered early hip hop classics. La Di Da Di, in particular is one of the most sampled songs in music history. These release of these two songs launched Doug E. Fresh (and Slick Rick) into stardom. Both songs are considered among the greatest early hip- hop classics.

So let’s talk about what Doug E. Fresh is doing today. Have you checked out his tribute to the Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown? You can follow him on YouTube to see the outstanding music video. Subscribe to his YouTube page. Look for TheRealDougEFresh.
