There is a hit rap song from 1980 titled "The Breaks" by Kurtis Blow. I was fascinated by how much he used the word "break" in his song, and the meaning of the word means different things in the rap. But there is one meaning that I pay attention to the most. We all need a break in life as in rest.
Have you ever tried to apply for some credit? it is said that no credit is bad credit. I never understood the reason of applying to get turned down every time.
Have you ever made a grade of 100 on your test score in school and received a 98? You can get all the answers right, but I've been told it's not possible. I never understood it.
Have you ever tried to apply for a job and you had to have a certain amount of work
experience? How can you get the work experience if nobody's willing to hire you? Sometimes it seems like the whole world wants to keep doors closed but we need the breaks.
The rap song by Kurtis Blow is an unforgettable rap song. I’m understanding the rap now more than ever. He said, “These are the breaks”.
