Episode description

Spies, intrigue and forgeries, oh my! You're gonna Juan-a hear the whole story of super-spy Juan Pujol Garcia. He worked his butt off to build a spy ring, operated as a double-agent, spied on multiple sides of multiple conflicts, and was an early example of an expert at fake news. Once called "the best actor in the world", come find out what all his secret agent names were and tell us your favorite! RIP Agent Spoon.... We stick around WWII to tell the tale of the 588th Bomber Regiment in Soviet Russia, also known as the Night Witches. These ladies kept swooping into Alanna's orbit so she had to share with us about these amazing women. Armed with little more than paper planes and pencils, they efficiently terrorized the German troops flying their night sorties, that they started calling them the Nachthexen, or Night Witches. Did they secretly have some super spy injections that gave them night vision? or was that just a rumor the enemy clung on to in order to explain how freaking good they were. We bet you can guess. Let's celebrate the white Lily of Stalingrad and all her sestras (sisters)! Get out your enigma machines 'cause this one is especially cryptic! https://linktr.ee/castlesandcryptids https://linktr.ee/castlesandcryptids?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=5c03a5fd-78d4-4fa1-8e55-40983a6bd469 Tags: night witches, Marina Roskova, Lidia Litvyak, Yevdokiya Bershankaya, Juan Pujol Garcia, Agent Garbeau, operation Fortitude, bovril, operation overlord
