That Would Be A Truly Happy New Year

Exodus 3:7–8 says, “And the Lord said: ‘I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.’”
The increasing downward spiral of our society is very troubling indeed. We all see the spewing of hatred, violence, and division. Isn't it time we come together and pray for our nation? We must know that we're not praying to some distant, cosmic entity that is not interested in the things of this world or willing to intervene. He is the God who is willing to deliver us.
We must stand in God's strength and confidence and call out for a nation that has truly lost its way. That would be a truly happy new year!
It's time to pray.
