Pray About What We Should Pray For

I want to remind you that God knows everything that we need. He heals our past and present and is already in our future. 

Think briefly about Nehemiah, a butler God called to rebuild a fallen wall. He wasn't an architect but trusted in God's call on his life. When faced with the king's question of what he needed for the journey, Nehemiah prayed about what he should pray for instead of relying on his understanding. He acknowledged that he didn't know the future but that God was already there. God was already aware of what Nehemiah would need. 

Let's have the courage to trust God today, seek His guidance for our futures, and rely on Him as we pray. Let’s say, “God, you know what I will need in the future. Help me to understand today what it is that I should pray.”
