Be Anxious for Nothing

Philippians 4:6–7 

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” 

I don’t know about you, but I have peace in my heart. I refuse to be governed by the news, by troubling phone calls, or even negative reports. Instead, I am guided by the Word of God. 

This peace, which found a home in my heart back in 1978, has only deepened over the years. I no longer fear the news that comes my way because I have inwardly a profound assurance—I know to whom I’ve entrusted my life. 

So take a moment today to reflect on this peace, embrace it, and let it grow within you. And remember that your life is in the hands of the One who truly cares.
