Ask For Faith to Forgive

Luke 17:3–4 says, “If your brother sins against you, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day and seven times in a day returns to you saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him. And the apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’”

Jesus says, "You will forgive them each time they come back to you and say, 'What I did was wrong.' Even though they go out and repeatedly do it." That's why the disciples said, "Lord, increase our faith." 

I don't know about you, but I can't do this. We live in a society that's filled with bitterness. It's filled with blame and rehearsed grievances of the past, present, and future. Blame, hate, finger-pointing, lying, and cursing are getting to the point where people are advocating violence. We need to ask for faith to be able to forgive. 

It's time to pray.
