¶ Momocon Experience and Cosplay Trends
All right . So , lexi , how was Momocon , how was the travel there , how were the accommodations And , i guess , how was the con in general ?
All right , i guess this is gonna be my little clip-it of the week . You guys know I don't really talk a lot . So Momocon was very fun . The travel there was not ideal though , because I drove . I lived two hours away from Atlanta So I ended up leaving at like six o'clock and it was just like blah traffic . Yeah , traffic was horrible . So I got in .
Thursday is everybody . If you know me closely , you know when I go to Atlanta for a con I always get an Airbnb . So I did that this time , but I swear I'm not doing that again , because every time I get one I am always in the hood . This was like the hood of Hood is Places B Atlanta . But when you get inside the house it was not that bad .
It was like enough , because it wasn't just me that was staying with me , it was my two band bros . Bad , son Bubba . Love you guys . But yeah , the house was nice . So first day there I went Friday morning . Luckily they had already picked up my bag or my badge , so I did not have to get in that badge line , thank God , because I hate doing that .
Like every year , i try to get my smell to me so I don't have to stand in that line , but I missed it this year . So they got it Thursday for me , but Friday we got there . If you guys know me like we talked about in our convention episode I'm a dillers room girl , so I was straight to the dillers room and saw some pretty dope stuff .
It was really funny . So we all get there and we see the first booth with Has Like VTech , which is a company that makes like GPU , backplates and wall art and a whole bunch of different stuff , and they had a booth . They were looking at it and were like I want this .
And I was like , eh , so like one of the people in our like I guess little group bought something . And then we go around the corner , not even like two steps away There was so much different stuff . I was like , oh my God , i gotta have this , i have to have this . So if you're there , before you buy anything , just kinda look first .
It's kinda interesting that you saw that booth . I never heard of VTech but you explaining what they actually sell . You said they sell backplates for GPUs .

Dude , that's a . I hate to say this and a lot of people might get at me , but that's a void of warranty though .

Yeah , you're fine . Today that was mostly like Friday . I was just like seeing everybody I haven't seen in a while and like Diller's Room or whatever . I didn't stay at Momocon very long Friday because I wanted to do something else . I wanted to go to the LEGO's art exhibit .

that was actually really interesting . So , like , just like all these art exhibits well , like all the pieces you see in this exhibit , it's made by one guy and they are huge , and like he tells you how many pieces are in each , like piece of art .
Was he there ?
No , oh , okay , but like there's like signs and like a video before you go in , that you're watching whatever . And like the whole time like how fucking long did it take you to make all this shit ? And like , how did you do it ?
And like one of my friends was like oh , he had mentioned that he used like a computer program to like tell him where to play something . But yeah , it's very interesting . I will post like a few pictures on our Instagram . We do have that now , but we'll talk about that later . So that's what I did after Momocon .
And then , if you're ever in Atlanta , you guys have to try this place called Bando . Me and my band bros went and like from the outside you're like , are we really about to go in here ? But go in . It's just like this wing spot . It is like it just takes you back to like the old school hood .
So like lady had like in the back they had like a little place where it's like the couch , the plastic and the jet magazines and the Ebony magazine .
They had jets .
Yes , it like . I love me good jet magazine now And like spray paint on the walls , it's just like , yeah , it's pretty dope , But the wings are a fucking fire . Like you wouldn't think like going in here these wings will be like , but they are good . Like we went back that Sunday for wings because they were that good .
Damn . Now I'm thinking about those jet magazines . It was so good . Go ahead , sorry .
Like I grew up like reading those two like going to the hair salon as a girl and like reading the jet magazines and Ebony magazines , Yeah . So that did break back some memories . And then Saturday I dressed up as Yor from the Swyfe family . That was pretty dope . But she , somebody came up to me and they were like , hey , can I take your picture ?
And I was like , yeah , sure . So yeah , I did that . And then that was pretty much on Saturday . That kind of helped , like was eventful . And then Sunday , you guys know that's like the last day of the con , So it's kind of like just like a down day . So we just like went through the dealers room one more time .
They can see like there's anything else we want to . Last day I did get this fire . It's very dope . There was this girl doing like paintings And she did want a fallout in Vegas . Now , you guys know that's not my favorite fallout Three years but I got it because she had Mr House up at the top , front and center And like had all the characters .
It just looked really amazing . So I bought that . And then a friend of mine wanted a Mass Effect . She had a Mass Effect like picture she did too , And like I bought that . It was . It was awesome too . Like I love Mass Effect as well , but that was pretty dope . But , yeah , after that we went back to Airbnb , just kind of kicked it Watch .
Can we watch Baki ? Yeah , that was like my first time ever watching Baki .

Yeah , and then like packed up and settle , bam bros , i miss you , we have to do it again . I do need you guys to dress up either as the rowdy boys or in Sailor Moon costumes , and the girl version , not the boys version . But anyways , that was like my whole mobile con experience .
That's what's up . What was ? was there anything that was , i guess ? was there anything like that you saw at the con cosplay wise ? Was there anything in general that was ? I don't know . You would just like nah .
I didn't see anything that was like nah , but it was really weird . So , like I did your and I didn't do like her black , like her assassin or outfit . I did her every day And I'm like there were so many people there that were dressed like in her every day wear And I was like that's kind of For real .
Nobody was dressing her back to it .
They're like literally like okay . So the first I get there I know I at least saw two And I was like okay , whatever . When I get my eyes on Saturday , there was like at least five and I'm just like and like one girl saw me , she's like yeah , anyways , but like I didn't see this until like the other day .
But on Instagram there was somebody did the cosplay of Bonneville boy from like Spongebob . Yeah , that was so dope cuz I asked if he has it like up in the air , like if they were in the car yeah , it was dope .
I was sure it was all that a person cuz that was fire and , oh , as I said in the previous episode , demon slayer characters you know , i even noticed it , really , besides , like the typical ones , like there wasn't anything , that was like no , no , tna , no really wow . They wow no TNA but then again I get tunnel .
Bitch want to go places and I don't look for that , but like you got your , you know Nezzy and all the others , and so no boo , which I've already done before .

oh yeah , you guys , next year it's gonna be like Friday day through Monday , since people are making a big deal about that , but it's literally due to contractual agreements with the place that they have it out so there you go yeah , so if you have a problem with that , suck it up and don't go um there you go .
It's just that easy if you don't want to go , don't give me your money . Um , cool , that's what's up , is there ? are there any other cons that you're looking forward to , or that you're thinking about going to , or you kind of like if it happens , it happens ?
yeah , this year I'm just like , if it happens , it happens like cuz I'm busy and the only reason I went to Momo Con is because , like my one of my band bros is from Maryland and I never met him in person . He was like , hey , i'm coming down for Momo Con . I was like , oh shit , i gotta go .
But other than that , you know , this year I'm probably not like gonna be all up in the cons . Maybe somebody invites me and I have time to go . I'll go , but I'm not like oh yeah , definitely going there and I'm doing this cosplay .
No , I was thinking about . I was gonna say this is random as fuck , but I was thinking about going to Rhode Island is having one and Boston's having one too , and in Boston they have , um , oh shit , what is her name ? um , oh , i can't think of her name Rosario Dawson . She's gonna be there .
Some people from the office Stanley okay , now he's kind of making me want to go and then in Rhode Island , the one person that I want to see is TC Carson that actually , speaking of people , i literally should took a picture with him when he was there .

Whenever a game comes out nowadays , since everything is online , it's always , i think , it's about who can get to this certain level first , right , who can get to the max level first ? and you get to that max level and it's just like oh , i did it , i was a person to do it .
Can I tell you something ? nobody gives a fuck . Play the game at the pace that you want to play that shit . If you don't want to get sleep because you want to get to a certain level , then be my guest . But yeah , it ain't worth it you did . Here's the thing you're gonna get to this level , right ?
I don't even think I don't even think PvP is out yet .
Yeah , it's not even out yet some people are gonna be at the max level by next week , literally by next week , and they gonna be sitting there . And those are the people that are like where's the content ? this game doesn't have any content , motherfucker .
It just came out last week , so so it's just like , it's just crazy to me , but for me , from the beta already , like the game , like the gameplay , like the mechanics of it and everything kind of reminds me of ESO , but not so much that's a while could pay or so , but okay , it's . I mean , it's not too far from it , so it's great .
I went in as a druid and I love it . It's it's really good . I like the open-worldness of it , how you can just see other players , how you're just out there and other people can come in and , just you know , take down enemies and stuff like that . It's great . It's so much to it .
So much from the customize in a jewelry , your transmogs , i mean everything that you can possibly do . You can do it in this game and there's still more shit that's to come because it's just , i mean , i think what it's gonna be open for everybody .

People play Division 2 when there's a new season coming out and they get to that season , some of them doing even finish the season and they might do halfway and then leave and that's just it's just most games . But I like division because it's actually really good . But Diablo 4 is it's for right now . It's great .
Yeah , if you haven't , if you're interested in it , i say , give it a try . It's not . It's not bad at all and I play it on PC . But we're getting to that in our next topic . But , um , yeah , it's good . I'm enjoying it so far , not too bad . Not too bad . What about you ?

But like the like there's certain places that you cannot go by yourself and defeat , like the main boss , like you have to team up and so like You're gonna get frustrated and To just keep going .
That's that's what makes it a good game . That's how I know I'm gonna keep going back to it , though It's because it it is yes , that difficulty line like that's the good shit .

Yeah , the only one that's on console was Diablo 3 . Yeah all the others were on PC So you did have to have one . Had a cousin play Diablo 2 .
I didn't really get into it till the Diablo 3 , but I did get it on PC and then I ended up getting it like on On my Xbox and on my PlayStation because I loved it that much and so , like I said , four has been pretty amazing . Oh , i did not like is like the mobile game . We didn't ask for that , we didn't need that .
I'll do that . It was like quiet as fuck . That was a music on right when they announced that yeah , and everybody was like Fuck is this . You guys don't have phones . Yeah , we do , motherfucker . We won't pay that shit on our phone , though .
But okay , i was still working in the office . This might have been like whoo-hoo , because that's like the only time I play mobile games , but like I work at home , like everything's here , i'm not gonna play this game Really . That's something I do want to kind of go into and see how it is . I will say that I Think in the first beta I was doing barbarian , which is actually really good . I like , i like the way that I like his moves , his set of moves and stuff like that . But it's something about that jurid though , like those wolves and Just everything . It's just so nice .

You , you need , if you , if you do , if you're a DPS player , you need either you need something to Man I don't know how to explain this , but you need something that distracts or you need something that brings all of them together and you need a move that like , can , just like you can constantly , just go like at least twice or three times and it just
attacks all that , this one big circle . We drew it . I'm able to , i'm able to keep my distance With what is that she call ? is it bull work ? Bull work is is cool because I can . He uses like wind shear With his weapons and I can hit him from a distance .
I can use bull work from that same distance and it'll bring two like rocks together and smash them . But then I can also this is thing called boulder That the boulder will come out and it just pushes them further back from me And then I have the wolves .
The wolves take away the tension from me so I can do the DPS necessary on The bosses when they don't split up . Yeah , when they don't split up , that's the only thing you have to .
You have to Direct the wolves to the main target that you want them to hit , or those motherfuckers will literally go off , or some like some dogs that aren't trained and just go Barbaric and he'd be hitting the boss where he's .
When the boss is like covered in something and you can't attack it and the dog is just Do it , he just go in there just trying to attack it , but then he ends up dying and a new one comes and he just goes right back to the same spot . It is so fucking annoying . But the way that Druid is , you can . You can tank with it , you can do DPS with it .
You can do DPS with it . The only thing that you can do is heels , and I don't even think I don't . I don't know who can do that .
You think sorcery ? I think sorcery might be able to .

Learn the characters , watch YouTube videos That's what I did to learn more about the , the certain character or the classes I was going to , and based off of that , i chose the class that I wanted to choose . I would like to see like a statistic to see that shows , like , how many people that got early access . Which class did they choose ? because I actually see a lot of druids , i see a Lot of sorcerers and I see a lot of necromancers , because I can be fighting somewhere and I just see a whole bunch of dead people Following .

But also in the game You can buy Cosmetics shit off rip .

And it's just a list based off the classes of the different Outfits that you can get and armor , since , well , it's mostly trans box stuff . But That's from day one . You can go in there and you can buy silver I think that's what it's called by silver and with that silver you can pay for this stuff .
But they want you to wait Until , probably , the official release and Then you get the battle pass shit and all the stuff that you need and then one more thing , because I'm just thinking about it Cuz he brought that up tell it Why the fuck are y'all parting with KFC For like this cosmetic shit tell them like I want , no , fucking I don't .

The only thing um , not really the only thing I think that's that's gonna benefit you and stuff join the Diablo discord because there are a lot of people in there a lot of teaming up , you know All that stuff . So it's not . It's not , it's not bad at all , um , and I guess the big thing that I realized .
So Lexi came with her DS5 , hooked it up to my TV . I have a Very good HDMI cable , can do , supports 8k , all that stuff . I have a 70 inch TV that can do up to 4k . Plugged it up and I was this is my first time actually I have a steam deck .
The steam deck can't even reach 4k And I have a switch That's definitely not hidden 4k cuz I don't have a 4k one . So Hooking up the ps5 to my 70 inch was something it was actually really nice to see it really crisp , really clean .
I guess this means that we're seg waiting into the PC console .

I love that Yeah but I know , but you know I was trying to do it a little smooth away , you know . But you coming up , okay , but , um , yeah , put hooking up the ps5 to this to the TV that I have . It looked really good , i'm not even gonna lie to you , looked really really nice .
I was very surprised that the results from it , um , i Was Contemplating , maybe I should get one . You know , stuff is cheaper . Oh , by the way , you guys , if you guys want a ps5 , now Get them , because those scalpers have to come in at lower prices because nobody's buying the shits . So happy days . But , yeah , maybe completely getting one .
But , um , or just you know what , or just building another PC and just bring it out here .
¶ Console vs. PC Gaming Comparison
It does have its benefits . It's not all like You know what's what ?
what's the biggest thing ? I know what it is . I know what the biggest thing , cuz we talked about it okay .
So I Like game on everything . So I literally do have like a PS5 , have an Xbox series X , i have switch Olin , i have a switch light , i have Oculus Quest 2 and I have two gaming pieces . So like I have everything .
But For me the the benefit of console , it's like okay , me coming here , i didn't have to like pack up a whole entire PC and like Toad it into the into the house . I literally put that in my suitcase and they went down . I'm good to go . Or they do have like Monitors that you can like attach to that in game wherever you want to go .
So that's that's one big thing . I know there's laptops , but those are ass and they overheat and We're not even going that and I have too many laptops , as is . So . And another big thing about it is like the entry point as far as cost goes .
So like I have the digital PS5 , which was like $400 , trying to build a PC that can play games with the same quality as The PS5 is gonna cost you a lot more .
Like a basic gaming PC , not an ass one that has like Two gen back parts but has current gen parts , it's gonna run you like a thousand dollars or more , and if you like us with 30 , 90s and shit , we have well over like two grand or more in our pieces , so like And that's just what the graphs card , the graph is really expensive , but like the actual
parts and everything you're looking like close to three , four . So That is like the main two benefits about console gaming is this is easy to transport . The cost is a whole lot cheaper . What's the benefits of PC , though ?
benefits of PC . You don't have to pay for online service Because you already pay that within your internet . What else um The games are ? You can't , honestly . yes , you have to go through Battle battle net for certain games , you have to go through Ubisoft and their shit , but with steam , steam has deals , steam has deals sales .
Steam has deals , i mean like really good shit , so that's also a big , a really big thing . I Mean also you can buy mature games there . I mean like real mature games in steam . You can . If that's , if that's your shit , then you can get them there , definitely a lot of indie Publishers through steam , just because it's just easier and more essential .
The biggest thing when it comes to PC is Just having the peripherals to and just the , the stuff that you need to build it . It's easy to get a tower , it's easy to , honestly , it's easy to get a motherboard and It's easy to get hard drives and what it is .
It costs ? it is no , but you got to remember back in , like when COVID started , like those , it was hard to find anything . It look at that , like the whole 3090 like graphics cards launches . You had to stay on line outside of Best Buy just to get that .
Yeah , i had to wait months to get mines and the end of still had to pay more because I got to do stock X . So it just like . So there are times when things like that are shortages . But I mean that also happened too was like PS5 and . X5 . I just got lucky and got mines pretty quick .
But Oh , i would also , if you want . I mean , another benefit is with the , with the consoles . If you want it to stream , you can do that straight from the machine . It's so , if you had a Xbox , you can stream , or PS5 you can stream Straight from there . So you don't have to buy a whole bunch of stuff .
But here's the thing you can do the same thing on PC once you build it , because you really don't need a capture card . If you , if you're running a Windows , you can do the exact same shit . Um , also With PC , you can play Xbox games on your PC if you are Xbox person . What's another big thing ? oh yeah , emulators . You can get those on PC .
So if you wanted to play Nintendo games , you can get that done too . Um , it's , it's , it's . It's so much shit that you can't do .
Technically .
Technically you can't on console , but I required a lot of money and ain't nobody wanting one or two , nope , um , i don't know , it's when you , when you really want to get mods Oh . Yeah , the mods . If you play Skyrim you can have some fun with mods for real for Um . So it's , it's , it's not bad .
I always think that when people look at the cost and the pros of cons , when it comes to PC and console , it's , it's . Yes , the cost of PC does outweigh The console , but in the long run the thing is , you know what's in that PC . You know because you put that together . Even if you buy a premium build one , you know what isn't that thing .
And To troubleshoot , let's say , something goes wrong , you can be like oh okay , you can actually see the parts . You can actually break down the parts , you can actually troubleshoot and test to see what's going on .
Not everybody wants to do that , but the funny thing is most people that have gaming rigs are People that don't mind doing that and actually learning and stuff like that . With a console Dude , you you can take it apart , but , um , i Don't know , that's just seems like a lot of shit for a lot of shit . What actually console ?
you can break it down to repair too . There's repairability kits for like . PS5 You can put an external hard drive m.2 driving there . Yeah , i've replaced fans and power supplies in my ps4 so you can Repair stuff as well . But it's also simple too . Let's go back to the 360 air . Whatever . I had like three 360 elites . All had the red ring of death .
I mean From a like convenient standpoint , so it was just easy to send it in , have them send it back whatever . But you know you do have that too when , like a Computer , you have to like do a whole entire like bit by bit if it's a custom bit .
Yeah and if it's a pre-built , then you , you know , you have to go to the company , talk to them or whatever , and then they may decide to fix it .

Ask those questions to yourself before you deciding on like You should get right , um , if you are in the , let's say , if you wanted to build a PC , one of the biggest , one of the best websites that I would recommend is part picker PC . Part picker , yeah , um , allows you to basically just build it there .
You can , you know , take a screenshot , print out or whatever you need like prices of parts , incompatibility of parts as well , so it's really big help . It's not always spot on with the incompatibility , but it's really really close . Yeah , it's not too bad .
Um , so I mean that , like I said , every every console does have its pros and cons , for sure . But me , i was a console user , i had the whole Xbox one thing and all that stuff . But the funny thing is I traded in my Xbox one to go to my Nintendo switch .
So cuz I knew I had the PC already and I was just like , well , i don't , what is the one thing I can't play on a PC ? switch games .
Now you can ? yeah , you can , i'm not going through that , though already have it .
So you know it's . Uh , it's definitely teach his own , just like any other fucking thing . Um , i'm trying to think if , like I said , if you go with console , it's easier for travel and stuff like that , depending on what type of computer you build , because you could build an IXT or ITX .
I'm not carrying a mini , even a mini .

Because it's really inconvenient . You still gotta carry a monitor .

Travel , they make travel sizes .
Yeah , but still , that's still four extra components I gotta take with me . I can just take that . All I took was the PlayStation and the controller .

So it's a everything is to each's own , but for me personally , pc is the way to go for me , and that's one of the big reasons why I got a Steam Deck Because I want to travel and oh , and I do travel for work or something like that , because I ain't traveling like that But I can just have that there and just play it and I can still hook that up to
a TV . I can still use Xbox controller with it .
I still want one of those . I haven't got one yet .
I mean they're cool And those in the Steam Deck , you can still take that apart and replace parts of it . So I mean it's really nice . But yeah , to each's own man , do what you want And also , if you have the money to do it , that's the big thing . Don't put yourself in debt trying to build a goddamn PC .
Please don't do it , you're gonna no , that's not worth it . So go for secondhand stuff if you can . If you have a Micro Center near you , go to it , because Micro Center is kick ass . Do you have that , south Carolina ?
Fuck . No , i'm gonna go to Atlanta for Micro Center . I actually went for the first time Micro centers are sick . I think back in May it was like a tech toy land for me . So yeah , definitely will be going back , because I do need to upgrade my PC .
Actually , i need to upgrade my motherboard , i want to get DDR5 or RAM , and there was something else I was going to do to it too . I replaced the cooler , because somebody broke my cooler when they changed my tower or the tower , but the CPU case .
