Episode description

Spencer speaks with Ephraim Freed (he/him) about his unlikely path from volunteer to administrative assistant to intranet manager, a path that eventually led him to become a thought leader and expert in the field of internal communications.

Ephraim's mission in work is to help large companies default to employee-centric, customer-centric, and humanistic thinking. During his career, Ephraim has built a new social intranet at a global nonprofit, developed a global town-hall program at a video game company, built an employee communications program for 10,000 hairstylists at a private equity firm, led marketing for a consultancy that works with Fortune 500 companies, and built an employee user research function within a virtual reality company. Today he helps large enterprise clients get more business value from their use of Workplace from Facebook.

Outside of work, Ephraim is the feminist father of two young girls ages eight and six, and he is currently the president of the Parent Teacher Organization for his daughters' public elementary school.
