Sexism is complete BS. It shouldn't happen. And it does.

Examples of sexism:

• Every time a woman is paid less than a man
  
• Every time someone tells a woman to smile
  
• Every time someone makes a comment about your looks / body
  
• Every time someone feels uncomfortable in the restroom with a trans person
  
• When someone assumes you have a different role than you do
  
• All the double standards
  
• Pink tax
  
• Feeling unsafe because of your gender
  

Google dictionary definitions:

Sexism - Prejudice, stereotyping, of discrimination,  typically against women on the basis of sex

Genderism - another work for gender bias

What to do:

1. Bring awareness
   
2. Call it out
   
3. Check on your colleagues
   
4. Find your work support system
   
5. Do not accept it
   
6. Talk to HR
   
7. Be honest and transparent
