The Apeman Hoax

Sazerac (Cocktail)

• Absinthe, to rinse

• 1 sugar cube

• ¼ part cold water

• 4 dashes bitters

• 2 parts rye whiskey

• Garnish: lemon peel

1. Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe, discarding any extra

2. In a shaker, muddle the sugar cube, water and the bitters.

3. Add the rye whiskey, fill the shaker with ice and stir until chilled

4. Strain into the prepared glass.

5. Twist the lemon peel over the drink’s surface then garnish with the peel.
