Cursed Bunk Beds

In early February 1987, Allen and Debbie Tallman brought home a $100 bunk bed they bought at a used furniture store. They put it together and stored it in the basement. But the night they moved it upstairs to their daughters’ bedroom, and the girls slept in it, it marked the beginning of nine months of horrors for the entire family. In a story straight out of a horror film, or maybe not quite a horror film, we explore the dangers of buying used furniture in today’s case of the cursed bunk beds.

Jello Shots (Cocktail)

• 1 cup water, boiling

• 3 ounces gelatin powder (I picked cherry)

• 1 cup whipped cream vodka

• Whipped cream (optional)

• 2 ounce plastic cups

1. In a small mixing dish, combine 3 ounces of strawberry gelatin powder with 1 cup of boiling water 

2. Stir for about 2 minutes

3. Add 1 cup whipped cream vodka

4. Fill 10 2-ounce jello plastic shot cups with the Jello mixture

5. Put the container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours, or until the shots are set

6. Add whipped cream to the top of each shot just before serving

• 1 cup cold water

• Whipped cream (optional)

• 2 ounce plastic cups

1. In a small mixing dish, combine 3 ounces of strawberry gelatin powder with 1 cup of boiling water

2. Stir for about 2 minutes

3. Add 1 cup cold water

4. Fill 10 2-ounce jello plastic shot cups with the Jello 

5. Put the container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours, or until the shots are set

6. Add whipped cream to the top of each shot just before serving
