Booty in the Booty

Today we have another episode where I fear I’m going to give away the entire story in the intro, but again, there’s just a headline that is hard to believe is an actual headline. And it’s just too good. So that's all you're gonna get. Sorry. Not sorry. From that bastion of journalistic integrity, the New York Post: “Drug dealer’s hidden cash falls out of rectum in police station.”

Rum Runner (Cocktail)

• 1 part light rum

• 1 part dark or aged rum

• 1 part banana liqueur

• 1/2 part blackberry liqueur or blackberry brandy

• 1 part pineapple juice

• a splash of grenadine

• fresh fruit for garnish

1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

2. Shake vigorously.

3. Strain over fresh ice.

4. Garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy!

Rum Runner (Mocktail)

• 2 parts rum syrup

• 2 parts homemade banana syrup (see below)

• ½ part blackberry juice

• 1 part pineapple juice

• a splash of grenadine

• fresh fruit for garnish

1. Make banana syrup: Freeze two old bananas. Peel and microwave the bananas in a bowl for 3-5 minutes. Mash, strain liquids into sauce pan and reduce until a syrup consistency.

2. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

3. Shake vigorously.

4. Strain over fresh ice.

5. Garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy!
