It's just like that sneaky to do that. You'd like oh everything's fine. And then it comes. And you're like, dude and that's our Strange today. Sleepy, Joe sleepy, Joe sleepy. Joe is a fun strain. I actually current currently. I am elevated on sleepy. Joe really are you?
Oh, yes, I would definitely say I am elevated. Yeah, we have a couple bowls before we got on. Onto the recording typically we don't do that but for Times Sake we're thought you know what? Why don't we just check this out a little bit before we jump on and I got to tell you this has been a fun experience but before we go into that one, what type of strain is this is an Indica as a hybrid of sativa.
So this is an Indica dominant hybrid cross bred from Obama kush and Nova. Oh gee hmm we just did one on Obama runs yeah very good strength. Yeah fantastic. Take. So I'm sure Obama kush is right up there. Yeah, this is actually really high on THC percentage. Absence 34%, this is going to kick you right in the head, literally, I felt it almost a skullcap, so go around. Like if you took the line right around your brow, right? Go to your eyebrows and just draw a line all the way around
your head. That's where your initially going to feel it like a really horrible bowl cut. Yeah, real. Bat think Jim Carrey Dumb and Dumber. Yeah, that's a perfect one. The cracked tooth and on top of that though, which really cool is that an initial onset? I didn't get dry mouth. Yeah none. But during since then right it's been about let's say 20, 30 minutes since we've had our last pull off and I'm getting a bit cottonmouth just a little bit. Yeah, it's starting to settle in.
Yeah, not terrible. Not over the top like many of the other strains, right? And and the cool part two is that it kind of its dissipated on the top of my head. I don't feel it as much there, but I feel it right across my shoulders, as a whole like if you Like those old King cloaks or you know you see Lord of the Rings like you know the guy comes in go. No finished watching all those. Oh dude, those are so cool. Just like one of those clubs.
How you felt resting, right across your shoulders. And then the weight goes down your back. Yeah, I'm feeling it in my lats, but evenly spread across and that's such an amazing fit because this is and it's just like it states. It's a sleepy time. Strain is not to be taken lightly. Lightly know, it's really heavy like one of the highest potency flowers. There probably is in that. Would mean, what, like, if it's a super high potency, what can I
expect my body feeling? Like if it's at a high potency, is that it does that even matter not necessarily honestly, I think wider range of cannabinoids and terpenes is a better experience typically than just High potency THC. But I will say that this experience is fantastic. Hmm. For being a Indica dominant hybrid, I don't feel sleepy. I don't either. And that's one of the things I was wondering about now.
I only had three hits off of a bubbler, but I got to tell you was, I was expecting knock me out. So three hits off of bubbler, that's not even smoking a full bowl. No, that's not smoke in a gram joint now. It's really mild. Yeah, super mild. And I started to think about it. We were joking about it like You know, for being named after sleepy, Joe. And we know who were talking about here. This is a very economical strain. What do I mean by that Brandon?
Oh, you don't have to smoke as much to make it get where you need to go. Yeah, so cool. We shared that little bowl and between the two of us, it's still got plenty in there. I mean maybe there's at least two more hits. All right, I would imagine just looking at it. Well there you go. That's pretty decent, man. So you talked about the terpenes that are That are in this program. What would I do? I wasn't able to find the actual terpene, get down of cpg, go anywhere.
So that's another thing too that we've come across as there's not a lot of information about sleepy. Joe out there a lot of Growers like seeds and things like that. But as far as like actual like in-depth information such as the terpene profiles in their crazy. Yeah, it's really just seed companies that have them right now. You can buy the seats for sleepy Joe but I don't find Spencer. He's really selling them right now so it is a top Define strain, but it is. I feel it in the back of my
calves. Yeah, I know. I actually I, when you would said that I'm actually feeling it in my calves as well, so this would be perfect for taking away the aches and the pains. Yeah, I always have a blast actually probably a month or so my back's just had crazy sharp, sharp pain, all the way up my spine. And it's constant from like the time I go to bed till the time I get up and are all day long. And so, even with certain cannabis, it's still not getting down into my back.
Like, it's not taking that away and sleepy. Joe right now. I would say there's maybe one spot in my back, and I can actually feel right now and the rest is actually just Like mildly numb.
Yeah, definitely a very good pain strain and going because I worked out yesterday, hit shoulders really hard and I'm thinking because of my age, maybe it's catching up to me, but I feel like I'm more than likely it's undiagnosed, but I probably have arthritis in my shoulders and for doing martial arts, all my life, getting a fine doing, Jujitsu boxing.
All these other fun things. I knew it was going to take a toll eventually because of that constant Robin, and now like my shoulder hurts all the time but as you said that talking about pain relief, I mean, yeah, I'm a little sore. But normally my shoulder, my left shoulder is an immense amount of pain and I just just like you man, I just live with it, even if I'm in pain, I don't have anything to manage it. I just love good. But what else am I going to do?
I can't run away from it. I mean, and I'm sure that's what most people do. That's what I did before I even found, cannabis was literally used a TENS unit, and drink myself to sleep every night. Yeah. We're pop pills. You know, just recently, right? So we both had things, I had some dental work done, the reconstructed, my molar, because it broke and instead of turning into a crown, they reconstructed. It's so awesome now. Looks like Charlie Sheen.
Yeah, it's crazy. But then we would, I went there. He was like, hey, Deedee. Do you need nitrous oxide? Like no, for nitrous? Not nitrous oxide. I don't know. But sleeping gas, or are laughing gas? And I said, no, I had like, I brought a distillate pain and I took five hits before. I went into the office. Totally fine. Didn't feel any pain really after it, you know, even though like, yeah, you don't want to suck anything in when you've had dental work. But you know, what?
Didn't matter, had some other strengths but sleepy Joe would have been great for dental work because it is it's not. It is cotton mouthy but not to the point where I can't speak you know that strength where you feel like you put sand in your mouth. Yeah. And sometimes if cottonmouth to like I feel like I have to drink Yes. Have to have a drink? No, yeah I mean I'm like I could have a drink but I'm okay. Yeah, it's really not that bad. So Even though we found it here.
Where is this? Do we know where it's being grown? Mostly, I don't because I don't find any dispensary shops that I was able to, like briefly doesn't have anything. None of the of the sites that I were was able to look through as anything on sleepy. Joe, I found a couple of videos but they're all the really Stony videos and if you make those videos and you listen to our podcast, you know, cool. But what I'm looking for is like a really Ali kind of artistic breakdown.
I mean, the best way to say it because the artistic breakdown is going to be very descriptive, that's where we start figuring out like the notes of what are the like, you know, is it Earth is citrusy? I feel like it was hints of citrus and definitely earthy but when I smelt there's hints of berries and citrus, like, lemons and that, yeah, I was able to smell in there, but the knobs are just there. So Long, that skinny and thin. Like they were such good.
Interesting green. Pretty little nuggets but like not quite popcorn either. Well, the one that I have from from that batch. Ooh, we got, it was decent size. There's about like that. Oh, yeah, I gave you. One of the big old fat dogs, right? It's very pop corny, but you're exactly right. Like, they're dead snags in there because it's on a stem. So, as I was going up, I mean you Can see it. It's very tight. The the the initial taste that I got from. It probably wasn't the best it
more or less. I don't know how to describe the taste, but after the first one, which is very unusual. Especially when you light up at first Bowl, I did get the citrusy notes, you can just lightly, I mean nothing. It was the first hit that was harshest. And then after that it wasn't as bad for the rest of the bowl.
No. I mean, you know, when I think of really flavorful impactful strained, I think key lime pie, I think of trip idea because those ones, I mean, it's inevitable to taste that even Super Lemon Haze. Oh yeah, God. That is just overwhelming. Well, unlike lemoncello, let me cello tastes like a dessert. Yeah, that was so interesting. Cherry and lemon in there? Yes. It's like that. Well, we've had that at that restaurant that used to be
around here. You always get that at the end of a meal, I don't even give a shit. If that thing was bought at Costco. It was awesome and if it was a Costco broke, tell me, I know, right? Tell Management's, go buy it now, dude, that's awesome. But yeah, you know, even though there's not a lot of information on this one, I have seen a lot of video reviews and they're from all over from east coast, to Mid West to California. So I think this is a, it's a
rare strain to find. There are some strings that I am on the lookout for like big time and it's even said by some of the biggest reviewers out there going. Good luck trying to find this strain and which ones at Candyland, all right? If you have access to Candyland reach out and let us know. Yes. Seriously. Because that is a strain that I've I've heard about and on the sativa levels.
I mean that's going to be, you know, we should look like you know because we when we transport what we're on the go. So we're going to go up camp in or we're about to go to social thing. We get those zipf is tubes and we fill them full of of cannabis because it seals it and if you are tight oh yeah no smells coming out of that. You can put in your pocket, carry it with you and you're getting several bowls out of that.
Yeah. Because there's so much you can grind up Have like probably a couple grams almost. Oh yeah, it in that thing without compacting it at all. So it'll last a long time especially if you're rolling a Pax 3 X3 show do right. But it it's so awesome to keep in those little tubes. Yeah. There was a time that we which strain was that? I just came back from California and there was a strain that you hadn't tried yet and we put it in a bowl and you were like, oh
my gosh, this is so fresh. I'm like, oh, that's crazy. Because like, ground this up over a week ago. Yeah. And it just been sitting in that tube. Well, it's got that almost Keefe look like right after you grind and you open it up and it's just like fluffy it stays that way in there because it excludes all
the air out. So instead of keeping Beeping, like, this is what I do. I typically grind up everything that I have and put them into these tubes, and then just wrap some type of tape around it and then just rewrite with a magic marker on it. So, total side note today is fine, but if you've got sleepy Joe, this is a great Community strain. I would say, but take it slow from what I've read. If you go into smoke in a full bowl by yourself, you will get hammered.
It is a creeper. It will put you down now for somebody in the mid-range but for somebody who has high pain tolerance and high THC tolerance. Brandon, what do you think? I would say this is fantastic. Yes I would probably smoked an entire bowl or maybe even a couple but that the thing is this train is actually nice enough. That I don't feel like I have to know. I think this is a good one where you can actually wait it out. You ever find yourself?
We have many times we're just Just, you know, talking conversing, you know, contemplating and we'll smoke a bowl load up another one and keep going this one, I'm content. Yeah. In for that half of a bowl. It's really resting into my entire body. Yeah. Me too again and I'm very lucid. Yes. It's a very clear. One. Clear head. I was worried. I was really worried. Yeah I did this would be cooking in a sleepy. Joe. Yeah. But And that's to say they're.
So, think about this is an economical strain over there, even though the gas prices are going up, sleepy, Joe is going to be able to last you quite a while. So go pick yourself up an eighth and give it a, go grind it up, put it in one of those tubes. It's a really good thing to be able to do and worthwhile investment, but definitely give sleepy Joe a chance. Oh, yeah. All right. I think because I felt anxious lately, for the last little bit. This is Definitely taken that
away. Yeah, Haines I think for insomnia, if you had it in larger doses or, you know, are pretty new to cannabis. I think this would be great for a nighttime High nighttime strain. Yeah. So this is great and even from someone who uses quite often or larger amounts, I don't feel the need to it as yep. No I absolutely love it. I think it's as, you know and Say that quite often and it's good. There are strains where I'm just like, no go, sorry, can't touch it.
One of our older episodes. Bubba Kush can't touch it. You can't touch a distillate. Can't touch it in flour. Can't touch it, which is so odd. I mean it's such a chill straight, that's train. Yeah, but it just doesn't sit right. Nope. It puts me into a full-blown anxiety attack. So, you know, again, even though sleepy Joe. I mean, honestly, I was more worried about it that it would put me down. But I feel great on it. Yeah. Little bit munchie to have.
I'm thinking. Yeah a little munchy but not too bad cottonmouth but not extreme. Yeah. So this is my eyes. Yeah, no, I don't feel it at all in my eyes. My you have. This is really, it's very strange. It's like a top of the head and it pours down the rest of the body. That's very nice. It comes down. Like a mola, then just rains down, your back. Hey, is this a front party in the back? Yeah, the Canadian waterfalls. So, Yeah. Yeah, Grace, right.
Desert any reviews on this that you've seen? Now? Now, I kind of figured that I think it's great as far as I take our trigger words for it for today. The you're getting a in a direct or on it right now. This is an instant review. Yeah, instant review worthwhile. Don't let the name push off over there. Remember these strains are just to be able to help identify a certain feeling that you Get with that string and depending on the grower but it's pretty
consistent. This is going to be one of my favorites. Yeah, I'm quite content with this. Yeah, very good. If you guys can find sleepy, Joe recommend it. Do check that out. Yeah.
