Welcome to Cannabis School. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles. And I'm Brandon Elder. And we're here to talk to you about everything pertaining to cannabis from vape, flower, edibles. Strains. And everything in between. All right. Hey, welcome back to another Strain review. Of some Utah but oh shit no this is not Utah but. This is not Utah, but. Organ Flower. But it's, it's a different type of strain. It's gonna fool you a little bit. So definitely you're gonna have it where it's gonna be.
It's indica. It's clearly indica. According to like it's lineage, it's breakdown, you're looking at it thinking like it's an indica. And even the terpenes, it's got like pinene, miroscene, osamine, limonene and karyophiline, you're looking at that and you're like, OK, that seems like a very indica dominant strain. Right. And it's not. The facts are like, they're nothing like. That, no, it's, it's a very unique strain. And what we're talking about today is Jerry OG.
Or Jerry Garcia OG. Yeah, So this is a Grateful Dead. Is this a a paying to homage or do we even know that? I have no idea. Well, you know, maybe the lineage would give us a little bit. More it's a phenotype off of the infamous OG kush. Sour Kush and OG was mixed for creating it which makes sense cause OG kush and then mixed with sour but interesting. Jerry Garcia. Jerry Garcia. You know, that reminds me of
when I was in high school. We there were these kids, kids, I know kids are just fucking awful. It's just a great. Day all the time. And especially when they're in high school around because they just do stupid shit all the time. Yes. And that's OK, because you're supposed. To that age, yeah. But these kids in the cafeteria, I don't know what they have now. They used to have the big plastic trays with the space areas that you do have. No idea.
You have no idea? Yeah, No, I know the trays. I don't know they use now. Though Oh yeah, I have no idea. And these kids had piled them up on a on a table and they were throwing mashed potatoes at it, making this and my friend Caleb Cook, I will never forget this. He's throwing these potatoes over there. And this one of the, the school counselors, he was this old dude. And he comes over and grabs Caleb's arm and we're standing there and I'm like, oh shit, he's, he's in trouble.
And he goes, who did this dude? Caleb's got mashed potatoes in his hand. Yeah, right. Other kids have it. And he goes, Jerry Garcia did it. So the guy goes, he goes, all right, thank you. And he goes to the office and gets on the intercom saying, Jerry Garcia, report to the counselor's office. That's. And there was just laughter going through all of the hallways. Oh my gosh. That's hilarious. Oh, dude, Jerry Garcia.
So if you're not initiated, Jerry Garcia is the if is lead singer of the Grateful Dead. And I'm not. I'm not a Dead fan. Are you? No, they're OK. Yeah. You know, if I was at a live event, I wouldn't turn it down. No, I love live music. Honestly going to events and seeing live music is way different. Yeah, I can watch country rap metal. Whatever. I yeah, I. I know you've got issues with country. I think country I'm I'm more into the past country. OK. Like, I like Johnny Cash, I
like. Elvis Presley. Yeah, and Willie Nelson, Like, I like those guys, even Garth Brooks. But dude, when you think about this strain, I could imagine why this would be so good at like a music festival. Oh I would totally rock this in a music fest. Well in this little like air vapes. Maybe even sneak it in. So you guys going to be seeing this quite a bit? This is the Air Vapes project. He's had this like steampunk edition that he's been for a couple months hanging on to.
Not willing to share. Let anyone else try it because like it's that good. This is special. And so they were super kind and they sent out a second one. Oh yeah. So Brandon can have one too. And I mean, it's it's dope. I love the gold, the black like and they send out these little pods. So this is actually what I've been using. I've been putting my flower in these tiny little pods and it makes it so simple to like swap out. And keeps it clean. It keeps it a lot cleaner.
So one thing that really is hard about vaporizers is that it will really gum it up pretty quickly. I took like I, I would, I would clean this out once a week because it was so easy. That's why I did it. Other ones, even my my stores in Bickel, which I still love it, just there's just a different process. I love how fast this heats up. It's like 20 seconds. Yeah, it's insanely fast. So one of these reported effects from Jerry Garcia is hungry.
Do you feel like this is a munchy strain for you? Yes. I was thinking the same thing. Like. Definitely this is a munchie strain. It is a very munchie strain I've had because of diabetes. I've I've never wanted to be into the munchie strain. However, I'm taking a medication that doesn't make me as hungry. It's not because of my diabetes because I eat. It's just genetic, but it is. It's just so calming. The flavors are very mild. It doesn't really hit you in the Hoo.
Super skunky. It's a really nice fragrant. What's the temperature you're rocking? 370. OK. I was like, I just went up to 375 because I felt like mine wasn't producing a lot of smoke or giving me quite what I wanted from it. See, I get that every time. Maybe I'm just being a little bitch. No, no, no, There we go. There we go. That's better. That's better. For vaporizers I usually don't get a lot of smoke and I missed.
That I do too. I noticed when I turned them up towards 400 and I was, but I was only doing that when I was running it through a bong when I had the attachment and it was running through a bong. Because then I'm like when I'm pulling at 360-5375, I'm like, I don't feel like I'm getting anything. Turning it up to 400, I got a lot more smoke running it through the bong and that it cleared it. It was like much smoother
experience. But that's normally the only time I'm rocking at 400. Yeah, this is. It's a yeah, let's, let's go, let's go. Oh, Chow. So it goes for three minutes and then it says Chow. Yeah, and then it shuts off. I do feel like you can change the time, add it to like A5 or A10 minute session. I think a 10 minute session would be nuts. Dude, look at this.
Yeah. I always feel like they can do a second bowl because it's never the same color of brown baked that I would get through like my Mighty or that after maybe about two balls. Well, one of the really cool things too that they have, I know this is like turning into a commercial for them, but this is pretty cool for everybody. So they had this awesome little dosing tool and Brandon had to teach me how to use it. So you put it down into your bowl. You know, I'll just do it right
here. So you take this and you put it down and you just kind of pack it in there and then it's right in there and then you drop it into your bowl. This has the perfect dosage for this vaporizer. But also same with the Mighty plus this works perfect for for my stores and pickle or this one 'cause they had actually they sent this in the mail, yeah. First time we tried to interact with them. They, they were like, oh, we'll
send something out. And we got the dosing tool in the mail, came in its own envelope mailed to us. And then they thought that somehow the rest of it didn't get shipped and we're like, well, it just never showed up. Like this was in its own thing, mailed. Or they said it was stolen or something. So we didn't engage with them for almost like six months or a year past that. And then Jesse started reaching out, but we had this dosing tool just sitting there.
Finally, I was using it on my Mighty Plus. And then he was like, Oh yeah, they sent this out and there's a dosing tool and I was like, Oh yeah, here, use this. And it's literally like the coolest perfect little tool for dosing it's. Cleaning did you see? I mean it it the, the first time I used it was today because I wanted to share this with you guys, but it dropped right into the bowl cleanly. It'll drop right into the pod
cleanly. That's a kind of an issue with some of these vaporizers that you'll get a lot of particulates on the outside. Without this. Yeah. And this dose, this fills it to the right point where now, because if you do it too low wheedle just kind of shift around inside, we'll we'll have like pictures and stuff like that. You know, maybe we'll even do something on social where we're just kind of breaking it down, showing inside like how it works. It's just a really cool device.
But and and we've talked about that enough to get to the point where we're at. So I am now feeling the Jerry OG. It is a it's it's slightly heady for an indica. That's a little weird. Yeah, but not like Foggy though. Is the weird thing. It's just relaxed. It's really relaxed. Like I brought Jerry OG with me when we went camping with my family and it was the best because I am not a traveling person. I don't like to travel very much. I'm a homebody or I like to stay
local. But you know, camping is is rough for me. It used to be I had the best time going, but Jerry OG helped a lot during those times where I was getting frustrated in my head and it really chills you out. This is a good mental health strain day or night where you can just. Gets rid of that brain pain, that anxiety, that stress. It's like that relaxation, yeah, that you need, like you said, when you're you're out and you're normally getting
frustrated or something. But Jerry, is that like perfect dose that you don't like? You don't feel agitated, you don't feel anxious, you don't feel. It's not even like a. Fucking Medicaid either. No, no, not at all. It's it's very focused on being able to make you just relaxed and chill. You could read a book on it. I actually did. I've I've been really reading in in Dune. Oh, OK, been. Committing to it you. Finished the first one, no. No, no, I'm still reading the
first one. But no, no, I mean for me it's really strange because I don't read fiction anymore. I only read like. To learn something, Yeah, yeah. It's all to learn, I get it. But at the same time, it's like, yeah, but think of all those books that were written back in the day, Plays all sorts of shit, like. Entertainment Stories. Because that's what that kind of like creates more, right? And and so I've been so focused on just that that I haven't been able to allow myself to enjoy
other things. Video games I enjoy, 'cause it's instantaneous. But a book it takes a little bit for me to get into. It. Yeah, Yeah. And it's so hard to like, it feels like a dedication of time when honestly, it's the same thing of like, oh, I've got 30 minutes. I could sit down and read my book, right? But but the thing too, man, it's like. We're so used. To yeah, but our lives are just so fucking crazy and you know, I'm not going to cry about it.
It's just, it's just life. But at the same time man I just I think the reason why I don't enjoy fiction anymore because I used to love fiction. Same. I read it all the time and now I'm just like well what purpose does it have to serve? Meh. Yeah. And that's not this strain allows me to enjoy things. Holy shit that's where it is. This just again, it's a great mental health strain. However, it is cotton mouthy. Yeah, I do.
So I've been rocking this Jerry OG the last couple days and it is the perfect mental strain because there's been so many times over the last couple days that I'm like, I feel like, oh, I, you know, I'm, I'm not doing something. Yeah. And I'm like, and then I'm like, oh, I feel like I've accomplished this stuff. And then when I'm smoking, Jerry, my body or my mind goes take a break, a long board go do this because that's.
The cool thing with? It I'm working, I'm doing all these things, but I'm stressing myself and not allowing myself to relax and do that. And it's like, well, why? Why can't I take 30 minutes and go board up and down the Canyon? Why can't I do this? Like that's not going to take away for my productivity, especially when I spent, you know, several hours before that being super productive. Like. It's like, no, it's OK to take a mental break, go check in with yourself, come back and and
just, you know. Well, and I think that's important for us to talk about because your mental health isn't like, well, I get sleep and I give myself positive affirmations or I listen to something positive. You, you need to take time, You know, even the Greeks talked about it where, you know, the philosophers during Greek times, they were like, dude, you need to be lazy. You need to allow that time and dude, we talked about it before. I am just I have the hardest time giving myself time.
Yeah, and being bored or being that, because it's like I've got to do all these things. But the reason why is the mind can't constantly get information and assimilate it. It has to sit. It's got to bake. Yeah. And when it doesn't bake, bake. But up with half baked ideas. Yeah, you, you do. But when you're fully baked with Jerry, I feel I've been more introspective. I have come up with solutions to
problems, not only my long life. And you know, for those who know me and and Brandon, I feel not just with Jerry, but I've really felt just really humble lately and very own my shit. Like extremely like I fucked up with a friend. The Scottish thing. Oh, OK. And I was supposed to send out this e-mail, but I'm like, you know what, our issues are going on right now because we share the same. And it just got so crazy that I, I completely forgot. And I'm like, oh shit, I got to
send it out this day. So I start typing it up in MailChimp and I'm getting it all stylized and putting pictures in there. And then all of a sudden I get an e-mail from him who sent out a mass e-mail. And as soon as I saw that, you know, a typical thing would be to and, and Jerry OG has been this, this strain that's really kind of like not just meditative, but really just kind of putting yourself in front of a jury of you and saying, Hey, why are you getting so fucking pissed about that?
Real talks with yourself. Yeah. What Why are you, why are you holding this weird political opinion of a certain segment of people? Can I find it ridiculous? But also love them? Sure. And and this is some of the things that came from this strain. That's why I've loved it. I was always. I was a little worried when I saw it because, you know, I don't like heavy indicas and I only like doing them at night. Yeah. And man, this was awesome.
I got so many creative things done, came up with different solutions and I worked on myself. Yeah, I sat down this week and did so much with Jerry. I feel like I got so much, actually accomplished so much of the things that I was just like, oh, I don't know where to go with this. I don't know what to do with this. Jerry just helped me get that clarity, you know, those real talks with myself of like, no, this is what I need to do. This is how I need to do it.
This is, you know, and it's it's not from a way of like, hey, you fucked up. But it's like, hey, I know that you having just real understanding talks. Hey, I know you're having a hard time. Yeah, I know that life is tough. I know that you're you know, you're got these challenges. Here's how we can handle this. Like stepping back from those, you know, because it's it is. We feel so overwhelmed when we're in the middle of it. We don't often take that step back that we need to.
And I think that's why we have fucking half baked ideas, half baked motivation, half baked, actually getting your shit done right because you don't care. And, and one of the things like with cannabis and it's, I think this is something that cannabis actually really does. We really, we just get so sick and tired of how the system is run and how this Henry Ford ideology that was started in the early 1900s is still here today, the five day, eight hour workforce.
So I had, it's funny, Emily and I actually had this discussion last night because, and maybe you can correct me on this site, I could be wrong. I thought Henry Ford, prior to Henry Ford, we had the industrial age. Everything was crazy. We had lots of hours. It was longer than a 5 hour. And then Henry Ford brought in the 40 hour work week and then he was actually pushing to get it to a 30 hour work week. But what we have still is the
shit that came in from that. But like I thought Henry Ford was actually one of the proponents that pushed to being less hours and that and more time with the family. And you know, 'cause even over like the little bit, I haven't studied him a ton, but the, the time of like, hey, he was wanting more time with your families. He was wanting like hemp made cars and hemp oil and all of these things that gave back to communities. And like that's just very different than what we're in.
But like you said, cannabis, I think when you utilize that, you have that introspection. You have this time we see so much of the broken system and it causes frustration around it going like there are so many broken structures. There's so many things within the system of like the hamster wheel. We get on this hamster wheel. I had to talk with this guy this morning. He has a show he's been doing for three years. He's out in Michigan. He's gone through divorced and
all this stuff. And now he has a a coaching program and he helps like he's got like 40 different dudes, 40 guys at least in his program. That's awesome. Helping coach and that, but it was finding purpose. That's his main focus is finding purpose because after he got divorced and his kids moved out and all of that, he felt he had no purpose, no value, like nothing. And I was like, you know, I, I haven't experienced that yet.
I've experienced my kids being a cross and it's just me and feeling like I have no value and stuff. But my kids are still little. I don't have that when they're adults and all. And I, I started sitting there thinking like, yeah, that's tough. My dad was like, OK, cool, well, I'm basically retired by 50 now. What the hell do I do? I can't go from working 8090 hour weeks to no time at all. Yeah. What is my purpose? What is my value? What do I do? Why am I here?
Right. And it it, it retirement has got this weird it. It's such a weird carrot for people to follow, right? Work your fucking ass off right now for most of your life. Your young life, your time that you are like, have more energy, all of this stuff. Go spend most of that time working. At a mundane job. That you don't enjoy. Nope, not at all. So you can stop working by the time you're 65 or 70 to sit around and watch TV and maybe
travel sometimes. Yeah, even the travel thing, it's like, oh, we gonna travel everywhere. Well, if you're really into that, I think that's awesome. But Oh yeah, I I think that this weird thing like, you know, you got to look at the elderly people and they're not like this today. There are some, but a lot of them are just as stupid, if not more dumb than the kids that are around today. Very close minded. They don't see anything progressively, you know I don't.
Research or study anything it's like. They just go off of what they were told. And it's like, oh, this. And I'm like, but that's incorrect. And it's been incorrect and proven incorrect. And you can see that in all of these other things. Have you not? And they're like, well, no. And because it's not worth their time. Yeah. They're like, no, I don't. I don't worry about that.
Well, then why are you teaching these other things or saying these other things if you don't worry about learning and understanding if what you're saying is even true? Right. Spend some time in research before you try and speak from a point of authority or educating instead of going, well, I heard this. I honestly don't know anything about this. You know, maybe you can tell me something on this.
But it's OK to share things of like, hey, I heard this, I don't know anything about it. Do you know, like to have that discussion? Because there's nothing wrong with not knowing. Yeah, exactly. And when you're more open to these ideas, you start to realize that this isn't what we were intended to do. We're not intended to just do a job that really, I mean, if you think about that, I was just having this conversation yesterday, we don't create anything these days.
We don't create products. What we do is we create the illusion of ownership with whatever we've created. Think of the digital space. The digital space is completely just fictitious. The power goes out. It's gone. Yeah, there's a massive CME and there's no servers or Internet. There is nothing that's been created digitally. None of that. Exists no, because we're we're if we're so young in this era that eventually is this is like the.
All of that. Yeah, dude, this is like we're in like the Model T Ford stage of development of the Internet. Oh dude, that's interesting. Think of that. Because it's not even Fargo. Yeah, well, it's not even just that you think about all of our money held digitally, everything, even crypto. They're like cool, well, all of my money's in crypto. Well, what happens if the Internet dies? Like if network does not exist, if you don't have electricity, what happens?
All of this stuff that we have is worthless. 90% of the shit that I own, what do I do? No power. My electric guitar doesn't work. Like all of this stuff, there's so many things that it's like. So fragile. Valueless without this one simple thing attached to it. Dude, I find it like, and I think I tell you this sometimes, but literally every day I am so grateful for this marvel of the world we live in. Like, I think it's pretty amazing. We travel in heavy vehicles that
go very fast. When I travel the country in the car, that's what I think about because I'm like, I'm literally like a, a consciousness floating within this meat sack right at what, 80 miles an hour? I'm a floating consciousness traveling across this globe at 80. No, no, it's not extremely fast, but in relation to 1000 years ago, 100 years ago. And I'm looking at that and I'm like, man, that's nuts to think about. And in that moment I'm literally like, I'm doing absolutely
nothing. Cruise control is on. I'm barely touching my steering wheel to do these things. Like I am almost just a floating consciousness in this moment. Which is cool because then you can allow yourself to be able to start to ponder everything that's been collecting in your subconscious because everything that we see is being recorded in our brain in that neural network in the way that I've been told how it works. It's like we don't have the actual memory, but we have fragments of it.
And when something triggers in your mind for remembering to be able to, because I mean, we can go primitive, like don't eat those berries when we were like Cavemen, right? Go and look, you eat those berries, it's bad for you. And this is the color and shape you just knew. So this repetitive thing that we have in our mind. But dude, when you're allowing yourself to just not care, these
crazy concepts come in there. Like I don't want to work for somebody where all they want is just sales for whatever product. Like it's some of the reasons why I left marketing because it's just such a shitty it it, it doesn't do anything for it doesn't improve your life. The fucking pocket fisherman of the 80s and 90s did more for people then whatever we do today. Well, it's dumb. I like thinking about that. Where the hell am I going with that? See, that's one of the things
that Jerry OG does too. It will pull you off on a tangent and you've kind of noticed that to kind of give a little bit of review while he's thinking about the long term effects of this is really nice. It sits over your head like this, but it's very light. It's not like a pressure strain like your headband strains or anything like that, but it's really, really chill and we're in the morning when we're recording this and I could go do a bunch of stuff still.
Yeah, it's like relaxing enough that it takes away the pain, but not relaxing that my body is feeling heavy or sedated or anything like that. It's making Jesse relaxed enough that he's drilling a little bit, but aside from that, it's some real good shit that. Was funny. We're always looking for new products for our audience and you know, we have a pretty large demographic for women. It's like 27% of our audience is women. It could be 30, it really depends. On how much? Weights at yeah.
That's pretty cool because we talk about all the products that are cannabis related and one of them that we came across was from Foxy Flower. This is a smaller CBD run thing. They do sprygyric extraction. Sprygyric. Yes. So Sprygyric is this ancient way of being able to extract all of the oils and everything from the cannabis plant and it it affects its potency and it's pretty cool. We've tried the trouble stick. Yeah, it's been a long time. Yeah, but it it, it was really
cool. Like we've tried other ones. They were kind of like wet and it almost felt like it was just runny all the time. But that stick was really awesome. But this was cool and and here's what I want to share with it. So this is a a review of the product that a woman said, said, oh, man, where is that? It's right here. OK, so this this woman, Jana writes. It works wonderfully. I have been through a couple of jars already. I have a horrible autoimmune condition called lichen
sclerosis sclerosis. My mouth is a mouthful. Yeah, which caused me to tear during sex. Oh geez, right, Yeah, that sounds horrible. Yeah, I think we take it for granted because there's some people like, you know, menopausal women have a little bit more difficult time being able to get to that point. And you know when she said that I was. Like Lube helped with that. Well, yeah, she said. This Lube is the only product of many I've tried that works.
I haven't torn time one time since using it. That's nuts. Sorry if this is too much TMI. Yeah, that makes a big difference in someone's life though. Oh yeah, absolutely. And you know, because of Foxy, we saw this product over there some we're we're trying to find stuff that that women want to be able to use specifically for women, right, because it's kind of a it it's just an in the middle.
But by being able to use a product like this sexy, you know, if you are not only I mean it's it's cannabis infused, it's CBD Sprajiric infused. Look up some stuff about Sprajiric. It's very cool. It's really cool to learn all about it, but they had actually said, you know what, we would do a code for your audience. Oh, that's awesome. What's the code? So the code is school. So just put that in and check out and they'll give you a special gift for the order.
I think that's going to be like 20% off for free shipping. I don't know but. Oh, that's awesome. It's pretty cool. Go to thefoxyflower.com and get sexy today. So we'll put the code down below and the link's in the show notes. Yeah, check it out. Let us know if it helps you. If it's too much TMI, totally get that. Yeah, I don't know. Luckily I don't tear, you know, just every time Jesse's really gentle, he just spits on it. So I just, I've never had to worry.
That's awful. It's been beautiful, but you know, sexy I'm sure will be a game changer. Yeah, it's a game changer, right? No, it it's, it's that's just cool because I'd, I could only imagine what that would be like where, you know, it's a. Horrible experience. Yeah, dude, that's like, it's like erectile dysfunction for women, right? You just can't you? I don't know, I think tearing would be worse than not being able to get it up. I don't know if my skin tore every time that.
'D be horrible. Like think about it, if your Dick skin or your ball sack tore every time you tried to have sex bro, would you have sex? No, I'd take up knitting. Right. Yeah, I'm not doing this. Crocheting myself a hat instead. Yeah. Go masturbate in the corner. No, not even doing that. It's. Just not you, them, Yeah, no. It's gonna tear me up, literally. Yeah, it's. Horrible. No, Let's check it out. Yeah, this Jerry, it's quite chatty. I like.
It's not hyper focus strain. I find that when I use this strain I have to intentionally make my area specific to what I'm doing. So if I'm working. Yes, set and setting. I had to set aside other things and go, these are distractions. I can't use these. I can't have them around because I'm gonna go on my phone, on my phone. I got I need to designate this area, this space, this time to what I'm doing right to be effective with it if I'm working, you know.
So if you guys want to go ahead and get sexy or check out some GREOG, yeah, you know, or if you guys want to help support the show, go ahead and check out the show notes and yeah, see you guys next week. Take care.
