Episode description

Honey Wine: Sweet Elixir with Balanced Warmth

In this Cannabis School deep dive, we uncorked Honey Wine—a slightly sativa‑dominant hybrid (about 60% sativa) born from Honey Bananas × Grape Pie  . As the name implies, it’s like sipping a glass of smooth, sun‑kissed wine—with a twist.

🧪 Cannabinoid Profile:

  • THC: High, around 25–26%, sometimes 19–22% depending on phenotype

  • CBD: Low (~0.5–1%)—enough to keep the high clean and soft

🌿 Terpene Lineup:

  • Myrcene (dominant): herbal-earth base for laid-back relaxation

  • Pinene & Limonene: crisp pine with a citrus lift for clarity and mood spark

  • Caryophyllene: a spicy-pepper warmth that soothes tension and adds depth

👃 Flavor & Aroma:

Jar pop hits you with sweet honey and grape wine notes, layered over banana-tropical fruit, spicy earth, and pine hints with woody depth  .

⚡ How It Hits:

Honey Wine pours out warming waves of uplifted energy—think happy, social, giggly; like having that second glass without the hangover. Then it eases into gentle, soothing calm—without locking you to the couch  .

👍 Good For:

  • Morning or afternoon mood lifts

  • Stress, anxiety, mild pain, or appetite support

  • Social sessions or creative chats

  • Idle indulgence with character—not coma

🌺 Looks & Grow Notes:

Fluffy, grape-style green buds, thin orange hairs, and a frosty coat of chunky golden trichomes. Indoor flowering 8–9 weeks, moderate yield  .

Cannabis School’s Take:

Honey Wine is a sativa‑leaning treat that warms your mood with candy‑sweet comfort and crisp clarity. Picture dessert-meets-daylight energy—it lifts, it calms, it tastes like sunshine in a jar.

Welcome to cannabis school. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles and I'm Brandon Elder and we're here to talk to you about everything pertaining to cannabis from debate flowering Edibles strains and everything in between. All right. Welcome back everybody. It's been a bit. Yeah. Thanks for telling it because it's been a while. You know. Maybe let me smoke and think about it. You're right. Yeah, yeah. No. It's been a week since we last spoke with y'all and y'all never mind PTSD.

So, For those who know, you know. But anyway this week we're super pumped. We really found a very unique strengths and man it is amazing Brandon. I mean you you loved it. We both loved. Yeah. That's just such an amazing kind. And as we've come to find this strain is so new that it's hardly anywhere. You can find my reviews on it, you can actually find a lot of information. Shouldn't on this string but the experience is like, far hands down, amazing. Oh yeah.

And for those who are you're listening and you're like, okay, wait a minute. Who's that guy with the weird voice and why does Brandon cut in and out sometime? So we are doing one of our shows from the Road. Brandon is on this amazing trip up there. Is girls going through California and I have had a horrible cold for the the last week and it has absolutely kicked. My ass has is the first day that I hadn't read coughing fits every five seconds.

So we are excited to be able to bring you Brennan. What are we talking 100? And it sounds exactly. Like it sounds it is a very smooth smoke. I would say we have this in flower. Both of us, it's so relaxing. And so amazing. But beyond that Brandon tells us about the taste bro. Oh man, this is a such a delicious taste which is surprised with the the most prevalent terpene in Honey.

Wines is actually nursing and Pioneer which you would not expect from the flavor profile that you get from it. You get a little bit of like berries some Citrus but it actually has a lot of that raw honey flavor on that exhales. Gather to think about it. It's a very dark, honey. Like it said in organic honey would be the closest way to be able to give the hints in the notes that you're getting.

And what's really interesting. Like you pointed out, bro, is that it's got pining in it because I didn't feel anxious at all my heart didn't get elevated. Typically, pining does that mean? What about you, bro? No, this was the to a string that I've had in a while for being a sativa dominant, hybrid it It was so relaxing but conversational just a very all-around enjoyable experience. We actually took it all the way up to cannabis event. Oh yeah the Cannabis Conference.

Yeah. Yeah and use that on the way up and it was quite the amazing experience. Oh yeah. Really gentle. Yeah just the flavor is super mild. It's a very smooth pole so the experience is really just like I would imagine a honey wine being smooth. Sweet kind of like a dessert or really delectable experience. Yeah I thought about it a lot. If I was going to rename this train I would call it a viking bead for those of you know what

meat is meat is what biking? Just drinking it was made out of honey and it was the Any wine and if you go to places where you can even have to be a specialty store in Utah, we have liquor stores. We don't just walk over to Costco and pick up a gallon size of absolute and you can't just walk down the aisle line of Walmart and say now will take that to a specialty wine store would hold a Meade and that's what I thought about as well with this one. But like you said it is a very body.

Hi, I will Say that with a large amount. Like we used our packs 3. We burn that for a while, we're going to have to do a revisit on the packs because things that we have learned on how to be able to actually use these portable vaporizers to took it up another level. Oh, my gosh, it was awesome. And but the dry mouth from me, was almost unbearable. I didn't take my water with me

and I was in the conference. Around feeling it and it was so harsh, a lot of gun belt on this and it's super funny. I actually really liked that's when I sat the other night with this one and really thought about where I was feeling the experience honey, wines. When I first started, it starts at the back of the head around the base, like, kind of wearing a bandana. And then, after the second, hit it settled into, like, my cheeks and my chin, I didn't really

feel it in my shoulders yet. It was Just like in my neck and settling around my face and then past that it settled down into my body was a more relaxed experience after about 15 minutes in. Yeah, I felt very similar I will say that most of the Divas hit me in the shoulders neck and the back of the head like you describing. I saw it like kind of craving the back of my skull.

Almost pushing my head forward. But when you feel a sativa II, B typically feel it, in my shoulders, for a good amount. The time. However, we hunting wind, I did not, I felt it really throughout the entire body. Very chill almost across my eyelids. Like pressing them down slightly and not because I was elevated. It was just because it my whole body felt so relaxed.

Great deep conversations, I wasn't a, you get those times where we say it all the time like, you know, cannabis as medicine but marijuana, sometimes you go for a marijuana, you forget things. Things. You don't understand what's going on, you lose your place

all the time now, honey, why? I felt really in the moment, it's a great social strain, I would, I would say, oh yeah, even the ones that we consumed with the owner of a security company, when we had that session as well, it was dressed quite a super conversational creative fun. Euphoric experience, but not over-the-top high, just like couch lock. But just a relaxed body high.

But with the mental stimulation of like a nice sativa, this would be a great strain after a hard work day, you've got a lot going on in your personal life. It's just so much and a heavy Indica typically people will go for, but I would say this is right up there because you you feel that relaxant and the relaxation that you get from a typical strong sativa but not so much. It's going to put you into the

couch. Yeah it took away the pain that I had my back but I was not definitely a nanny, heavy sedated, sort of state from it. So it was it was pretty nice. I think you could manage using this even during the day this is an all-day you straight. Yeah. Those mild body high. So for me I have shoulder pain from past injuries. I would say this is really good for that one, but for a sativa sir, Rising lie.

It's been really good. Not super-heavy, not super body, just really mellow across the board, but something that you want to reach for all the time. Now, we both use this in many different way. I mean, when we've used it in our vaporizers, which we absolutely loved is great. But in a bomb, we both had it in a bong. Branch your been experienced with it in the bong. It's pretty similar. I will sing the one thing that honey wines is the It leaves almost a like a rawhide.

What is that? Like texture on your tongue? Yes. Different with it. It's just, I don't even know how to describe that. It's, I think it's the, the resin that comes off of it, no matter where you're at. It's, it's I think it's just so much trichomes are all over this sucker. I mean, that's my assumption. That leads all the way to that Cog mouth. Sure. So have times of water, honestly, with this guy.

I feel like it is probably a decent string, her pain, same with like anxiety and depression just because of the way that it makes you feel how it uplift your mood and just that kind of gets you out of your head. I think it would be perfect for that. I think the other really good attribute to this train is longevity. You can feel this for hours like I am. So shocked of how long it lasts. We were how long we Robe up and

then we are there at the event. Did it wasn't almost until the very end of the event when we laughed we were there for hours a couple hours. Yeah, yeah, I was so nice and it's been pretty consistent like that when we went to that other event with that CBD, product owner, man, we felt that the entire event was a couple hours. That's right.

I would say for a flower it is probably one of the better experiences because it's been more long-lasting, which is nice because Like I hate having the experience that lasts 30 minutes. I'm going to my car. I need to keep going. Go to another Bowl. Yeah, exactly. Now, I've never I haven't seen this in Vape cartridges. Searching online. Did you find them? No, no, this is very new. The only thing I saw online. What's pre-rolls or flower?

So, yeah, I do find it. Most of it was West Coast right now that I am seeing. Hopefully they do bring this out to the Listos. I don't actually know the genetics of this currently either because it is so, so new. And a lot of them are very convoluted to, because you'll go to one site, you'll find it and it really doesn't have a whole lot to say about it. Just deceptions I found one test on it and it just, it really was inconclusive. I couldn't even trust the source.

So if you have it locally, I would say this is more a western store. Rain predominantly will last. I feel bad for those East Coast people. Like you guys get shafted on so many of these amazing strains that we get out here at least. Yeah honestly Paradiso well yeah exactly. But I mean that's the thing.

You know I would like to see more from Growers out there in the midwest to the West being able to find because I mean you'll find skills and you'll find all these other really fun strange but you don't find the shoe. Super amazing potent strains. And again there's thousands when you're when you're thinking like which one's going to be the best one for me. That's why you're here.

That's why you're here listening to us because we are we really want to be able to understand what's going to be good for some people. It's not good for others. Like I mean you know there's there's been strains I've said that I absolutely despised just because of how many feel I don't think Brandon's ever come across training saying. Nope. There are strings.

That make me more tense. I do feel more tension in my shoulders and neck, but I don't think there's a strain that I actually haven't Mac one was just mild like, aside from that. I don't know if there's a strain that I have said that I own like the experience. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mac one was definitely, just not my favorite in the Vape. I would like to experience it in flour but sure it is Ben, I mean, huh. Any wines it is a love-hate relationship with anyone is what I mean by love.

You are going to enjoy the hell out of it. You're going to hate it moving. You are out it. How fast it goes. And expected to be sold out as a dispensary. Once it's there, it is. A bass, moving product, ask your local bun, tender, you know 8

you guys have money ones. If you heard a honey wines on a food side with honey wine, I have to say like I would have to go with the boyo, enockl the way, and I probably butchered that because my voice is messed up, but there was an orange chicken that my grandmother used to make my grandmother's from the old country and Mexico, she's 93.

And every time I go down there to visit family with my dad, she would make this orange chicken and the basic way to be able to make it is you take orange juice concentrate and you can find the Frozen stuff even better. But most time you can't find these days. So you pour that into a pan, you let that reduce down in a sauce. But then you take some light drumsticks, maybe a thigh or two and you just sear it, your

brown, it really good. And then you get some bacon, cut that up and Searing get cooked nicely. Then you put it into the mixture. Little bit of salt, little bit of chicken broth, to kind of bring it up. And then you put these pieces of chicken and cover the pot, leave it at about medium heat for

about an hour. And the chicken just falls off the bone, that's sauce is got the bacon, the chicken, the solves, everything in there, and you pour that over some rice, oh my gosh, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it, but that's why I think about hunting whines shout-out to my grandfather. Consuelo. You know the better? Yeah, it's awesome. I should post the recipe up on. It's the or wherever else we should be posted Brandon, what

are you thinking about? Man. Well this moment all I can think about is that really tasty Saturday chicken so I think that's going to be a second for me. Yeah, I'll make it for you when you get back broke because it is absolutely. I've won again. This is like a great social strain. If you have social anxiety, see, you got a networking event in the business World. You've got a family event, got three assholes, you know, you're going to run into and you just don't like talking to them.

And that means your family member. He's going on a smoke. Some honey wine. I'm going to let that shit go. I'm just going to talk to him. Have a good time. The best time ever be worth it, you know, it except at the message. We've had a lot of requests that people say look I want to send you some stuff. Like maybe you sure had or miscellaneous and I'm really leaning towards Miss Lady. You want to send us something let us know hit us up in in email and we would really appreciate it.

I mean why not you know where we're at the stage right now. And we're growing every week. We're growing. And it's all because of you guys. It's just so awesome. Yeah, we love me. You guys tune in. Thanks for thanks for checking in every week. Could get some money. Wines pray, restrain you got and to next week guys, take care.
