Welcome to Cannabis School. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles. And I'm Brandon Elder. And we're here to talk to you about everything pertaining to cannabis from vape flower edibles. Strains. And everything in between. What's up, everybody? We have another great day in front of us. We have it with lovely bong in front of us. Thanks again jet filtration systems. We love this piece. Best bong ever.
I actually argued that I was in a networking group in California, all with cannabis companies, and I told them by far this is the best bong ever. You'd be hard pressed to tell me different. Yeah. I mean, I would love to see someone have a different yeah. One that they're like, Oh no, this one's smoother or better. And I'm like, OK, cool, Let's do a comparison. Like, I would love to find one that someone thinks is better than this. Yeah, right.
It's fantastic. And what's really cool with the jet filtration system we're going to be reviewing a delicious strain. And I say delicious strain meaning that. Look, if you're having a bit of a hard time sleeping, you need to stress out. You need to chill the fuck out. Oh, I think this one will be good for that. I'm so excited to see you 'cause I haven't, I haven't tried this. Now this is a Gorilla Glue strain. It is. What's really cool about this strain is that it's called
GG5GG5. And Brandon, you were telling me about that. Like we had this weird thing we were trying to figure out, like what's it called? And the genetic lines of it 'cause it was like, OK, wait, some places say that it comes from this breakdown, another one show that it comes from this, and then that. We found they were actually the same, they're just using different names for the same strain. So the basic genetic line of this comes from GG #4 and GG #1.
Which is really weird is that you know when you look at the Strain makeup? Sister glue, which is GG one. Yeah, and then? Original glue. Is GG4. What you think would be swapped? Yeah, but it's so, I mean, you know, the glue strains, especially Gorilla Glue, it sounds just exactly as it is. This is a Put your ass in the couch and you're just. Done. Just.
Forget about everything. Yeah, I remember when I first found Gorilla Glue, it was still called Gorilla Glue out in Denver. It was before they changed it to the Gigi #4. And so I had my very first time that I got it out there that it was called and labeled as Gorilla Glue. The next time I went out, it was GG #4. Why'd they do that? I don't know. The dispensary that I was at was like, we think it's a branding issue with using the name Gorilla Glue. And I was like, OK, whatever.
Yeah. Unless I mean it's. Not glue. Right. Yeah, right. That's what I thought. But at the same time, I'd never spent the time and effort to look into hey, why should that change? I think it'd be pretty funny if the company Gorilla Glue was actually so upset going, hey, you can't use our name with weed. Or actually, like, sponsored The Strain. That would be hilarious. That would be even better. I would actually probably buy more Gorilla Glue just for that simple fact.
Right. I'd be just like, yeah, I mean you definitely don't want to mix the two. You don't want to be doing crafts or or any type of mythics and stuff. I mean, maybe Brandon, that would help out 'cause this is a great pain strain. Which for me that is. It depends. Some of them are foggy, some of them are like super relaxed, and other ones are just like it's enough of the numbing of the pain. But like you said, I can do the creative or the working or doing anything else.
It really just depends on that the rest of the effects that come with it. Oh my gosh, it's almost like a non existent smell. Really. It's so faint and mild. Well, I wonder, because that's months old. Yeah, but even then though, I mean I do know that the Gorilla strains are not really pungent anyways. Like, I remember GG5GG4 and we had that one for a while. However, Gorilla Glue is no matter if you're gonna be able to smell it or not.
This is a very potent strain, no matter how old it is. Yeah, well, Jesse's a little bit more standoffish. Not standoffish. So I just have a lot of emotional connection to. Indica Base. Greening out on it. Because, yeah, because I've. Greened out on sativas as well. Like that. Crazy experience I told you on Tropicana Cherries. Yeah, like that. Was wild.
But they found out that that one that particular because there's two different types of grows of that and one of them can be extremely high in beta carefully and the other one's high in mirrors in limiting. And come to find out this one was pretty strong in beta carefully and limiting. Which is nice, but man it. Was crazy sent you for a ride? Totally did. Yeah, see if it smells more.
Now that you've ground it, though, you might get more of the actual notes, 'cause I feel like that does yeah, much better, you getting those diesel notes in there. Just a hint, it's not too strong because I find that like unless I'm smoking a a gas drain known for gas drain. But does it have the glue? The normal glue smells of like Gorilla glue. Yeah, say smell.
Yeah, it's it is very mild. It's super mild, but it's really it's it's tasty in a sense where I know or I'm going to get hit with not extremely strong, gassy notes, but it'll be definitely more on the sour side too. I just got a feeling that that's going to have, like a lot more sour. Oh yeah dude, it's been ages since I've had any gorilla glues. I had some Gorilla Glue I think a few months ago and you know, honestly what I was looking for was pain relief. I have no ACL in my right knee.
I'm sure, you know, if you follow for a while, you know, I've, I've mentioned it, but it's literally sometimes it feels like it's bone on bone. I had some Gorilla Glue, I had GG Four and totally, yeah, let me hit it. It really just kind of took me to a different pain state. Yeah, where it wasn't as strong, of course I'd lose my. There you go. It's right in my lap. That's funny, but yeah, this is a fantastic pain strain. And so when thinking about any of the gorilla glues, I I always
think of pain relief. Yeah, me too. We'll have to keep an eye on this one. It's known for like, dry eyes and dry mouth. Some people report dizzy as well, but I feel like I don't normally ever get to the dizzy sensation. I don't ever get to the dizzy sensation, but the dry eyes and the dry mouth definitely can sneak in. Well, and that's kind of a given, you know, especially when we're talking about cannabis. Like, if you take a lot, you're
gonna get dizzy. Like there's strains that I'll have in the sativa realm that I'll just have a lot of and I'll get tired or I'll get really dizzy. So again, it's know your dose. If you can get get away with just a little bit, 'cause there are particular strains where I don't need a lot and it'll hit me like, like what I was talking about before with Tropicana cherries, like, yeah. But that was bowl too. That got you there.
Yeah, but it wasn't. But I've been able to go past that now where I can have a full bowl on its own and I'm good to go. Like, I could smoke this whole bowl of Tropicana cherries out of this one. Matter of fact. I would love to do that. Yeah, that'd be delicious. But and and when I mean said delicious, that strain is actually delicious.
Like you can taste it like you don't get burning plant until like the last part of it, if you really just like kind of hone in because with this one the notes are very mild, gassy, just like I thought. It's very, very. I do get the earthy tones like it's it's more earthy, not a lot of pungent notes, mildly like, super mild Sour diesel tones, more like on the exhale, super mild. But I did notice, and I only took a little hit. But I did notice, like I told you, that my neck was crazy sore
and I had a migraine. Like my head was just hurting all day yesterday from snowmobiling. Yeah, And and I was thinking about the same thing, too, because I've had this weird thing where I I've slept weird and I got this like permanent crack in my neck.
It's not bad today, but like, yesterday I was like, when I was at the office and when I was talking to the guy I'm working with, it was super funny because I was like, yeah, dude, my neck's all sorts of messed up. And he's like, what do you mean? I went crack, crack, crack, crack. And he's like, yeah, holy shit. And a lot of it just comes from our day-to-day life and age. And over time, we just necessarily like somebody's like, oh, you're supposed to
sleep this way or that way. Like, does it really matter? I mean sometimes, like, yeah, if you sleep in a ball with your neck all tightened up, I just go to sleep on my pillow and this thing happens so that I've had pain there. I do notice a difference when I nights I toss and turn a lot, or I lay on my stomach or my side more. I hurt more when I wake up every time. Laying on my stomach hurts my back. Oh yeah, I lay on my back when I sleep most of the time.
You ever had to like, lay like, on the floor because the pain's so bad and it's like the only thing that helps relieve? It's horrible. Isn't that weird? I. Hate that. Yeah, but laying on like a hard floor will be almost better at some time than like a bad or something. Because you're just like, Oh my gosh.
It's getting your feet up and that's what I think about like with these types of strains, I would think about this strain like see you've just gone through a major surgery and if you're able to and if you still trust it because that's that's a big trust, that's a big gap, you know, that's a big trust fall. I would say relying upon like cannabis as opposed to an opioid after having some type of medical procedure. Oh yeah. So I might have mentioned this off and on throughout the show. Oh.
When you fucked up. Your hand when I cut my fingers with a saw. Yeah, I remember that. And I went in because my sister's a nurse. She was at the hospital and I was, I was doing her floor. I was doing her kitchen floor. I remember this. And she lives like a block from the hospital. And I'm sitting there and obviously I grew up in the era of, like, we don't need band aids.
Band aids are like, they don't do anything, use electrical tape if it won't stop bleeding and you're like, well, crap, I can't get blood on this Or you use super glue. Same thing. And so I'm doing her floor and I cut really horribly these three fingers and and she just like, they don't do anything to fix it because when I get there, they're like the tip of your fingers, like hamburger meat. There's nothing we can do to fix this.
So they're like, we can set it there and you just put ointment on it and hopefully it'll regrow back and heal over time, but there's nothing we can do to stitch this or heal it like. So you just have to leave it exposed. So I would rewrap it every What was it? Was it every 72 hours? For the first, I don't remember. So I would go to my sister's house every few days. She would rewrap it. We'd put ointment on it. And then after the first, like, what was that like few weeks.
Then it was more frequently or like I had the wrap off of it more. And that's all I used. I didn't use any painkillers, anything for it. All I used for the six, eight weeks that it was healing was cannabis. And I had to hold my arm like this because if my hand was below my heart, my hand would throb so bad it would hurt. Like, I yeah, even sleeping. I existed like this for six weeks.
I just walked like this. I stood like this, like everything because I was like, Nah, I was just incredibly horrible pain. But I've never had it from like a surgery that's deeply internal. You know, I've never had like, hey, I got my knee replaced or I got my back done or, you know, anything else. So I don't know. Have you guys at home done that? Have you used cannabis as like your way of recovery? Instead of the opioids or opioids, muscle relaxers, anything else that are prescribed.
Unless it's over the counter. Like, I mean, I'll I'll still do use ibuprofen when the pain's really bad, like it's throbbing. But I use it in concert with cannabis and I just thought about this where we talk a lot about you know, using flour and how flour is by far the best and the most potent in that up front, like I feel yeah, it's the most effective compared to carts concentrates. I I would say they run a real close second, but it's still not the same.
No, the whole day after snowmobiling and all that tightness and stuff I actually used concentrates 90% of the day. Probably. But I shouldn't have. I should have gone to flower, and if I had, I know the experience would have been better. It probably would have gotten in better to the aches and pains and sores that I really had. But I didn't do that till the end of the day. And it was the end of the day. And I was like I should load up
a bowl. And I did, and I smoked like half of it. And that was it. That's just. Wild. Yeah. I I feel like. And it just depends on the day. It depends on what's going on. It depends on where I'm at, you know, in my house, in my room, like whatever's going on, There's a lot of factors that determine what I'm utilizing that day.
Yeah, but I'm also thinking like, you know when we talk about stacking and the concept of stacking cannabis throughout the day, it doesn't necessarily need to be like how I can roll fucked up all day long. But think about this like if if I had GG #5 in a tincture plus with the flower, so stacking would be smoking maybe half a bowl or depending on the pain of
full bowl. And then on top of that taking right after that a tincture, they will be able to probably be activated within the time period of it going down again with Gigi #5. So then you ride that out. I would say like a two hour ride, maybe less, but I'm thinking about dosing. And then the next time I would smoke another half bowl and I would time it just like what they were telling you with medications.
But the cool thing is, is I'm not going to get constipated smoking cannabis or taking in a teencher form. I like the teencher better than the edible because the edible, like, what if this is one of the things that I thought about recently? People have asked me like, hey, look, I'm I'm going to get my wisdom teeth out, but Doc says I shouldn't smoke. Yeah, it makes sense.
Because it's a polling action. I think it might cause dry socket or anything else like you don't want to have those issues. And then you don't want to put an edible in your mouth with a gummy or something like that, because what if your mouth hurts already? Or the opportunity of getting those types of, you know, particulates in there? Even though it's a gummy, it's still like it runs the risk of getting in there. I I would prefer a tincher. Well, even then, so say it is wisdom teeth.
Have you had your wisdom teeth out? Yeah, a long time ago. Yeah, my wisdom teeth weren't. Oh no, that was my tonsils. My tonsils were horrible, but my wisdom teeth weren't that bad. I ate chicken Nuggets and a frosty literally right after I left the surgery. Oh no, dude, I was. I was yakking. Like, yeah, the anesthesia. I'm not nice at all when I wake up from anesthesia. It was weird. Like I was just fine. I went and my mom picked me up. I guess she was there. She took me to Wendy's.
I got a Frosty some Nuggets and then I went and wandered the golf course while Alec played in the tournament like, and then the very next day. I went. And I played golf the next day with Alec. It was just my wisdom teeth. One was like, super easy. But my tonsils, dude, I was down for a week. Two weeks. My, my, my wisdom teeth were impacted, if I remember correctly, and the pain from that was, oh, unbearable. Did it hurt to chew? Did you do just soft food or like?
No, I just didn't. I I mean, I didn't eat for like, just like I didn't eat solid foods for like, a day just because I didn't want that because it was sore. Yeah, that's what I wondered. Because with the tonsils I couldn't have any solids. I was only liquid diet. And then I had a chip after a week, and I sucked on it for a long time thinking it was soft enough and it still cut it open and I had to like, yeah, yeah, it.
Was. Well, no. I mean, but I I liked it. Well, like when I had my my tooth, like, I remember I cracked my tooth and it was like almost half of my tooth was like mostly just like the top of the molar was gone. It just popped up. Oh yeah. And it was like that for like a year or two. And then I, I, I know this friend of mine, he has his company where they do like a lot of dental, like home dental. And you know, I helped him a little bit with ideas for marketing.
And they're like, well, we don't have any money to pay you. But you know what? If we did some dental work for you And at the time I was like, well, fuck yeah, that'd be awesome. Let's do it. And he wanted to give me gas before they started because they were going to reconstruct the tooth instead of just pull it and put something else in there and reconstructed the entire tooth. And when he was doing that, like, he was like, you, you're going to want gas.
He's like, it's going to be painful. Even with the shots you're going to feel, you're going to feel pressure, you're going to feel discomfort. No, I'm good. He's like, why? And I said, I literally just took like five hits off of a THC pen out in the car parking lot and feeling pretty good, dude. So I'm just going to listen to my music and you rock'n'roll, dude. He's like OK. He's like, that's funny. And I didn't.
And the cruel thing was, I didn't feel any pain after either, because I was still like when the pain started to set in, cannabis just kind of levelled it out. I wasn't high anymore. Yeah, but it helped with the peaks of the. Pain better, like the pain didn't wasn't as inflamed. I've been curious with like, and I know they always say it on the paperwork, that you're not supposed to be under any sort of substance when you get a tattoo.
But like, I've been curious if you would hyper fixate on that and so the pain would be worse when you get your tattoo or if using cannabis when you get a tattoo, it would kind of help none that. I'll answer that right now. Have you gotten? It, yeah, both of my my forearm tattoos I was using. I was puffing on my pen like crazy. OK, so I puffed on it. It's been years since I've got ink.
Yeah. Yeah, I. Yeah, all it did with for me was it dulled it a little bit, like he hit bone a couple times and Oh yeah, that was fun, but it wasn't unbearable. So I would. And that's where the strains really come in. When you've got an event coming up, maybe, maybe you're biking, maybe you're doing running and you can actually handle cannabis in that state. In a physical state, I find during the waking hours, even having like an indica strain for
pain doesn't knock me out. But towards the end of the day, it wouldn't put me on my ass. Oh yeah. Well, it's like going snowmobiling. I took dabs right before, I smoked right before, and I wasn't high. But it helped my body be more relaxed, I was way more responsive and I didn't have all the pain that I did until the next day.
So. This is the I, I, I really encourage people to look at your cannabis more as a medicine for things, not just the medicine for mind, 'cause that's typically what it goes to. And it like, last night I told you I was at this dinner networking event for business, and while I was there, like, these guys were like, yeah, I don't use cannabis because it just doesn't make me very, very driven. And I find myself not wanting to
do more. And all I said to him, I'm like, well, are you doing what you want to do? And they go, what do you mean? I'm like, well, are you pursuing something that you want to do? Well, yeah, Then you're smoking the wrong strain. Because cannabis should never make you feel like you can't do something. If you do, you're using it for a reason. And if your reason is to stop you from going, what the fuck am I doing? Like, I don't want to do that.
I don't want, I don't want to sell, you know, blenders. Like, sometimes it is a hard realization. But like, it takes that moment to be introspective. Yep. And you look at that and you're like, oh, shit, all right. But sometimes that's OK. It's OK to go and look at life and go am. Am I truly happy? Is this really what I'm wanting
from life? Like you said, if they're going, hey, well, I'm not focused or I'm not productive or I'm not this OK, well, maybe maybe it's a strain, or maybe it's you, your life and everything going all around there going, yeah, you say you're happy. The words coming out of your mouth say you're happy, but everything else is showing something else. Yeah, yeah. And how many times are we honest with someone else, let alone ourselves, enough to actually vocalize that? We don't. We don't.
We want to. We want to hide it from everybody. We don't want to show anybody that. Because you know, what's the first thing that when somebody asks you, how's it going? Good. It's going great. Yeah, I'm good. How are you? How come we're not? I'm good. We, we, we. If you have this weird notion that if we tell somebody actually how we feel, there will be seen as weak, ungrateful. Or any.
Well, anything. It's it's this thing of like, yeah, you think about it. You're like, oh, well, I had the talk with the neighbor the other day about it. And I was like, it's interesting because we're always so tied up in this, this mask, this facade that we're putting on. Like, I need to show up as this because everyone I see has this perfect life. They're not struggling. They're not doing this. They're not depressed. They're not anxious. They're not, like stressed about
their job. No, they're all happy and perfect and have the perfect wife and the perfect life and look at their kids and look at this and oh man, and you got behind closed doors. Like, it's not everyone's the same, but if we actually showed up as man, I'm really struggling. Today is kind of a shitty day. Like how many more times or is that person across going to go, oh man, you know, yeah, it was kind of a hard morning for me
too. Or they actually see you as the human go. And today is actually good for me. But yesterday, Yesterday was really tough. Yeah. Because it's no longer about this facade. Because they see, well, he's not wearing a mask. Yeah, it's OK. And that's the thing, like I always talk about with the the Great Uniter is cannabis. Because when you're able to do that, you can kind of let go of that guard and it's a lot easier to just be open.
It's not that you're more susceptible to say things that you don't mean. That's alcohol. You say stupid shit on alcohol all the time. Cannabis, you are more thoughtful. Yeah, more. Cerebral. You might be slower sometimes with the words you're actually getting out, because maybe it takes you a minute to compile that. Know your strain, know your, know your terpenes about. I mean, even if you don't know the terpenes. And your dose?
And your dose like don't take too much and and you know what feel it out like normally with an indica strain. I am not OK about having it. What? What's the terpene profile in this I? Was gonna say yeah, it's limonene is the most prevalent one. I knew it Cariophiline and then linole. Yeah dude, feel that great. No pesh. Pressure in my chest. I don't feel like I don't. Feel it like strong anywhere other than just all over the entire body. But nice. It's a mild one.
It's mild, relaxing. Like I don't feel couch locked. Like no GG #4. I feel like has more couch locked than this. Oh, you know what I'd love to do with this? Go see a movie. Oh yeah, that would be nice. I've been to the theaters in the long last time, but Dune 2's out. Wanna see that? Great. I mean, during the daytime you could smoke this. This is something that's really good. Say you're recovering from a surgery. Say you're recovering from an accident, maybe like a sprain or
something. This is really gonna take the edge off of that. I've had knee pain for the last few days cause I've been really trying to work my legs out, 'cause my right leg is atrophying from that. It's a lot smaller than my left. I don't have tiny legs, but I definitely don't. I can notice a difference in you. Gotta switch your beating rough leg. That's what it is 'cause I use my foot. We all got our thing. How long it is. But but yeah, if I offended you on that one, stop. Just stop.
Come. Listen to the other episodes stop you some more. But oh man, I really like this. This feels great. This feels so happy and relaxed. I took quite a few hits off of that. Sometimes I can only do a little bit and I feel just great. I'm not cloudy though, I'm I'm relaxed. I wouldn't say clear headed. I'm just relaxed, yeah. No, like, but it's not foggy. No machine wash, right?
But I do notice like I feel pretty relaxed The more that I've taken, the more relaxed I get and I do think that. Very little dry mouth. Yeah, really not bad. Dry eyes haven't settled in either. Feels nice. Yeah, even though it said that that was what you watch out for with this one, I I think this has overall been a really nice solid strain. This is great for anybody who's getting into cannabis too. What's the percentage on this on average? Let's. See about 24.
Wow. So decent, Pretty decent. Decently wow. And that just goes to show you that the percentage isn't necessarily going to tell you how high you're going to get. No, it's never the best like. We'll take experience lemonine, beta carophiline and littolol. Those combined. You've got two energy producers. You've got one that helps a lot with pain.
Not necessarily. Smirocene tends to be more on the sleepy side for me. But dude, I mean, it's a very peppy strain for an Indica. It's very nice. It's as I could. I could do stuff with this. You know, we'll take you even there. Like your your grandparent. Or hey, maybe you're in your late 50s and 60s and now your shit's falling apart. I know what it's like. I mean, I'm only 45, but I tell you, man, my whole body feels different now. Like pains, aches, weird random shit.
Honestly, I feel like this would be the best daily dose of a vitamin for someone is to take a tincture of these and not. Maybe you don't need the whole dropper. Maybe you use like a third or quarter of the dropper. You don't have to do a ton. Because I look at both my parents, myself, every person I know, the older we get, we all hurt. We got aches, we got pains, we got stress and the intent most of the time is not to be high. No, it's to just get rid of the feeling.
So if you can, take just a small dose of that, and even if you're taking tincture like a 1/4 of a dropper, 1/3 of a dropper, 3-4 times a day. Dude, I still remember like when I was taking, when I was really into tinctures for a while. Pineapple Express. Some of the other ones that I made you, they were fantastic. But what's cool is, is that I would take very little and I would get a lot out of it.
And the cool thing is, is that while I was waiting for that to kick in, I could take a couple hits off of a cart and not worry about taking too much because it was right then. And just like this one with GG #5, it's a nice come down, I'm already coming down, so it's not a long term. So in a teacher form, this makes a lot of sense, 'cause then it will maintain that a lot longer and you'll feel like, just better. Like, I just, I can feel the aches from my last workout that I had.
Like, what was it yesterday or the day before? It was the day before. And I I feel it like, really nice. Yeah. But it's, it's, it's good. It's just a good feeling mentally, yeah. So Gigi #5, check it out at your local dispensary. Or your plug. Or your Gray market. Yeah. Or you know if. You grow your own. Yeah, and if you're growing your own dude, send pics. Send pics. It's the only time you can say that and not feel like a creep. Send pics.
For reals. You know, usually we use this little lubricity thing, but we didn't even need that this time. No, no, but shout out to Lubricity. Lubricity. They sent us a. Code it's CSP 20 and you actually get 20% off dude, their products. So we'll they have a new website and we'll have that down below. And this little bottle, you guys have heard me make fun of the. Name. Strawberry one was the best that. Was really good, dude. I didn't. I didn't mind it at all. And.
What's really cool about this is that for those of us that are prone to the dry mouth, what's dry mouth? The precursor for your breath smelling like cat shit, So you want to avoid that. This is pretty. Good, your teeth. I will tell you this though, if you're not feeling like really thirsty but your mouth is dry, that's one of the things that I hate about dry mouth strains. No matter how much you drink, it's still there. It used to have dry mouth, yeah. So this actually helps out.
The only thing is, you don't want to drink a lot of water right after that. And rinse it off, yeah. It'll rinse it off, but then you're able to take more. Unless you're pregnant or breastfeeding is that. I think it said something like that on there like don't take it to and if you're or I don't know. I almost thought it said used for only external and I'm like, whoa, we fucked up, but. Do you externally use it in your mouth? I don't know.
Just like rub it. On your cheeks, yeah, look when I. Rub it on my. Cheeks. Like rubbing it on your throat. That's gross. And don't, don't put this anywhere but your mouth. I don't know. Or do we don't? Know and it well Lubber city. It is deceiving. You never know you. Never know, I mean. I don't know if it's meant for that. But if you are prone to dry mouth, or you do not like experiencing dry mouth while you're enjoying your favorite cannabis, check out Lubber City Code SB. CSP.
CSPC now it's kicking in. CSP. 20. Yeah, and we love you guys, Love our Patreon supporters. You guys helping us reach more people means the world to us and everyone tuning in at home. Love you guys. Take care.
