Episode description

Chemdawg: Diesel Legend with Creative Boost

In this Cannabis School sesh, we dove into Chemdawg (aka Chemdog), a staple hybrid (about 55% indica / 45% sativa) born from legendary ’90s festival seeds. It’s pungent, powerful, and powered by pure diesel heritage.

Cannabinoid Profile:

  • THC: Typically 18–24%, with rare cuts hitting 30+% — potent enough to spark creativity and relax your body.

  • CBD: Low (~1%)—just enough entourage nuance.

  • CBG: Around 1%, adding warming calm.

Terpene Lineup:

  • Caryophyllene: peppery fuel that melts tension.

  • Limonene: citrus lift that uplifts mood.

  • Myrcene: earthy-herbal base for smooth flow.

  • Bonus: Pinene, Linalool, Terpinolene, Humulene round out the dry-scented bouquet.

Flavor & Aroma:

Think full-throttle diesel meets pine forest, with zesty citrus and herbal earth threading through. If your nose can taste it, it’s Chemdawg time.

How It Hits:

Chemdawg pops with euphoric, creative energy—quick on the feet, smooth in delivery. Then a grounded body calm takes over, easing stress and pain without knocking you out. FYI: some users report dry eyes, dry mouth, light dizziness, or mild paranoia if pushed too hard.

Good For:

  • Mental clarity with creative edge

  • Social spark or solo brainstorming

  • Stress, anxiety, pain, and appetite support

  • Versatile day or evening use

Looks & Grow Notes:

Dense, sticky buds—lively green with orange hairs and a frosty coat. Indoor flower time is ~9–10 weeks; vigorous yields for medium-level growers.

Cannabis School’s Take:

Chemdawg is classic for a reason—heritage diesel, cerebral drive, and body balance. It’s legacy in flower form. If freshness matters and flavor, this strain still stands tall.

Welcome to cannabis school. I'm your host Jessie Angeles and I'm Brandon Elder and we're here to talk to you about everything pertaining to cannabis from debate flowering Edibles strains and everything in between. Hey, Jessie. So up, dude, I am doing so good. And matter of fact, we had a sample. When I say sample was a bowl, yeah of wonderful strain and the flavor is still in my mouth. That happens. Yeah, it's pretty cool.

It's good though. It is a very good strain, will talk about it in a later episode, but do today, I'm, I'm feeling good about this is going to be a good Exchange. Yeah, well yeah, and the strain. We're talking about 2 is going to be a fantastic strain to talk about. Yeah, it's a little polarizing to as far as what people say about it. What they like about it, what they don't like about it. Yeah, we're going to go into that today, so which string would talking about oh you know

it's a little bit chemically. Hmm. You know dog who don't know. Kendall's dog, Kim dog for today. There are just some things that people would with the name, Allah. One. Some people say, I don't I don't get that. Others are like, that's just what, it's kind of like cheetah pass.

You have to look at a lot of cannabis names and strain names as, you know, the strange name might not sound appealing, but you have to look at the experience that's going to come from it. Absolutely, that is by far the most important part. But yeah, you're right with Kem dog. There's a lot of polarizing things, I think first and foremost, like the flavor and the scent. So So let's go into flavors man.

Yeah so it's a very very pungent strain kind of exudes Aroma of like Diesel and Earth like kind of chemically. So if you're if you're smelling it in your eyes aren't watering is probably not chem dog, which is grown by really shitty crores. Yeah. Well to be able to kind of add to a little bit more depth on the flavor profile. What are the terpenes that are in their their most prominent? Most prominent one is actually carry. Yo, Faline. I think that's lame how it's pronounced.

Yeah, sounds like a plastic wrap. It might be, you know, did you get some care of Haley? I see I can't say it fast but I know I can't either it. What it what what kind of flavors do people expect from that type of terpene profile that actually gives you this? I mean, well, yeah, that's why. So So it's beta carefully and it's also it carefully there, it's people. Also, just call it carefully and it's found in peppercorns so, you know, rare and yeah, it's also in hops cloves and

rosemary. So it carries like that herbal Aroma is just really familiar sounds like a downtown alley and dinner, right? And all the spices on it so that that would probably be a very like almost spicy Pole. Look at the end. Yeah, it's supposed to be a very chemically flavor. I mean, with flour. Would you describe the chemically flavor? Is it like, like sticking a Tylenol in your mouth and then just saying, you know what, I just suck on these These are

delicious. See I would I would much rather have a chemically cannabis than any medicine, like putting that on your tongue is such a gross flavor. So wouldn't be. I think it's just like a combination of like the diesel. Eat owns the earthy just a combination of Oliver, okay? With that. That you get kind of like that. Got me that we chart that I tried it earlier. Yeah. Yeah, but it's not necessarily a bad flavor. It's just a unique flavor so that would make sense in that

edible. And, and by the way, the edible was not of Cam dog. But it was, I like what you're saying it because that's where people can kind of understand the terpenes that are in Edibles as well. Yeah, you get a lot more of the flavor in there, what? Right? Depending on how it's made. Exactly, I mean that's, you know, the extraction process, And the curing process, whatever, they've gone through to really give that so, okay. So I know it's going to be

peppery. Let's say I'm a person that deals with more of like a agoraphobia feel, is this something like? And what I mean by that is look, I just really don't like social Gatherings. I'm just not a fan, I don't know, is is this that type of strain that I would want to be venturing into if that's going to be able to help me kind of come out with Michelle because it has feeling it's a cerebral high. So it's great for mental conditions. Like heavy eyes Russian anxiety stress.

I would imagine that it would be good for someone in that instance. With the more Pope you to maybe get a little bit out of their head and just be able to chat laughs and you know, or even just enjoy the moment being around other people without having to chat, but just being yeah, experience being comfortable being in a social setting because I know those people who are introverted they deal with a lot of, a lot of social anxiety, it, drains them,

To be in those social setting. But those are there with a significant other who kind of struggles with those things and maybe you're more of a social person, this might be a strain to look into and being able to use before you go out. Like, hey, I don't want you to go to have a horrible time. This strain can dog? I know it sounds weird, but it's actually really good for the settings. That's cool. So what are the things could I be able to use this for? It is good for all those mental

condition. Yes, but really it's also good for pain, ADHD, migraines, arthritis and PMs migraines. That's pretty cool because typically people don't think to use cannabis for migraines. No, they don't. And it's surprising because how often are we taking like a Tylenol or Ibuprofen or something for a migraine. I don't, I haven't in years but a lot of people do. And instead you could take a little bit of chem dog or perhaps a tincture of CBD and then you, No longer having this

migraine. Yeah. So that's pretty cool. Yeah, it's interesting. Just one of the things to consider that's actually what my Grandma had. Chronic migraines for a long time. She was on, um, really strong potent. Opioid that has a dependence in

7 days. No. And my family came to me because of that and had this discussion about cannabis and I answered every question that she could possibly possibly think of before I told her that I would consider making her Edibles and that helped her migraines. She took it for a year and a half and now she hasn't had migraines and I don't think she's had an edible in, probably

a year and a half. I could imagine that the Cabin noise that are in there plus with the terpenes are being able to cause those effects with certain ones, it like chem dog because there's other strains that are very similar to Kim

dog. I know my experience on there, I've had it in flour and in a teacher, never in an edible or mate, but it was really like, like you said, it's very heady, but it's not to the point where it's making you feel like you're going to fall over because some sativas do that. Some people actually. They'll actually experience a little bit of disorientation or a little bit of dizziness.

Usually just if they're newer to it and like, have you dowsing, I'm like we always say low and slow and slow. That's a good point and it's and I'm glad you brought that up and that really helps me understand, like if you're more experienced and being able to consume cannabis, this this will probably feel really good. Like it made me feel energized where I could be able to go. That was that one day where I I like cleaned an entire garage about this would be that

strange. Yeah once it settles in like your hyper-awareness will settle in and you'll actually get like super productive and it's easy to find that flow. So this is a good one wake and bake with the teacher, right? You get your coffee or your diet soda or your smoothie. Hey even put it in your smoothie. That would be a really good experience, just slow throughout the body. Lasting long.

That's funny because my actual recommended With that, I would do with this was a smoothie with blueberries, avocado and dark chocolate in it. Oh yeah. Well, those antioxidants working together, plus the chocolate with the fat being able to really deliver it. Oh yeah, I think that would be fantastic. Sounds delicious. I would concur with that one, like a protein shake and you could be able to put that in

there, man. This strain, most people, I feel like either have a Love/Hate relationship with whether it's the smell and The Taste because you can smell it. A mile away. This is a Strain, you will smell coming? Yeah, yeah, it's pretty pungent, very, very pungent. People will know and it's a strong strain. Like you said, this is a perfect, waken bake. Kind of string being like, euphoric, creative and uplifted, it's not really the body or

relaxing quite as much. No, it's almost like this perfect Hayes, even though my eyes are a little bit. Droopy. They just say man that guy is moving around like a zombie. He, he must got a big smile. Well, I was watching Kung Fu Panda and I was watching podiums like did I could do that stuff? It's a little bit can't dogs. Yeah, good stuff. Do I. What are some of the things that you would see kind of as a red flag for you if you were getting into chem dog, why wouldn't I

want to try cam dog? Honestly, I do saying that disorientation nobody likes to experience disorientation, like not feeling of knowing that the rat so I could see that based on us because the smell you don't have to do the whole time, but the taste like having that still the chemically. It is, it's not everyone's cup of tea and some people aren't going to be able to look past that flavor or get past that flavor to enjoy the experience. Yeah, it's a good point too.

Thinking about your palate as you are consuming cannabis. If if the chemical flavor, I mean, despite the whatever attributes you get from it, if the chemical flavor isn't really going to and that really comes down to, I would think is the Taste, not necessarily the feel because mean The Taste is now for me, I can pick those things up. You know, like you mean used to tell me? I was like, this is kind of tastes like these things. I'm like, what the hell is this guy talking about?

He's making shit up over here. Yeah. Burning the fucking plant. And that's, you know, and he was like, mmmm, I taste these things. Lets his Pine and I'll take some Citrus is wonderful. That's is like, what the I don't? I'm coughing and it smells like weed, but once it break past that barrier, I could see somebody has a little bit more of I'm palette with cannabis, Maybe. It would be a good one for you. Yeah, they don't enjoy the flavor profile, that it's ringing.

Yeah, I mean, we enjoy the flavor profile, we didn't experience. Absolutely. So someone else you actually enjoyed it, this review that I have four. It says the high kind of reminds me of Girl Scout cookies, which one nice puff took my headache clean away. I was feeling great. Creativity was popping. I was happy with a slight case of the giggles It's dry mouth and Munchies. Not too extreme though seem to induce a wild night of sex. Really dig the taste with a spicy then Piney and Lemony

taste. Hmm, don't pass this one up. Five buds, 5 Buzz. Yeah. Well now I know what I need to get, because that would be crazy, right? So, a little bit of chem dog in the bedroom. There you go. I accept your nice spice up your night, so good. Is wanted really quick. Give a shout-out to sponsor. This episode foxy flower boxy. Flower is a CBD company. That creates some of the best topical products I've ever tried. The one that I'm thinking about

right now is the trouble stick. Brandon, use the trouble. Stick almost daily, right? Sad to say, I just burned through it. Yeah, like I do, I use it every day. It has been probably. Be the best topical CBD that I found to date. Yeah. It's a very unique extraction process called progeria. Instead, it's working the tingling, but with the trouble stick, man, it smells really

good. It's got these almost sweet Aromas. It's like five minutes after it's kicking in for cannabis School listeners. We've got an amazing offer be able to that. We have got a promo code. Brian. What's a promo code? How it's cool. Easy? Really easy? Super easy. Make sure to put in the promo code school and no matter where you're at, we're going to get it to you. I would recommend it five buds five pots. We will be but you know, hey,
