Welcome to cannabis school. I'm your host Jessie Angeles and I'm Brandon Elder and we're here to talk to you about everything pertaining to cannabis from debate flowering Edibles strains and everything in between. Thank you so much for joining on the show today, guys, everybody, we have an amazing guest Brandon, please introduce charity. Yeah. Hey guys, we have charity from sow and reap. They are executive-level excursions. Basically in this little would

we say elevated excursions? Yeah, but they're not just any elevated. Excursion charity. What do you do? We do. Do the damn thing. We take people to festivals, we take folks, to cities where their Market is, you know, legal recreationally for cannabis and we host suffers and we are all about informed consumption. So every step along the way it's extremely, the is the most concierge experience ever. Like, you literally just booked your flight, come on, the trip.

All things are included from Snacks to Nightly, tastings to dispensary hops to Festival admissions. So it's just like we get folks in, we have these great experiences. We open them up to the world of cannabis and informed consumption. And we just have these little Fireside Chats. Wow. Yeah, I know you guys are doing a Coachella and what was Mardi? Gras coming up here? Are you guys doing? I know you. Add friendsgiving last year. Are you doing a friendsgiving

later this year as well? Yes friendsgiving is our Flagship event. It's the first and it will always be around because, without friends, we are nothing. We know that. But, yeah, so we have this Mardi Gras brunch coming up the Sunday before, Mardi. Gras. We have Coachella on the books we can one because we can to is my personal weekend and And I don't want to be like all Concierge in it out for someone else and not myself, right? We have also on the books.

Now we have a collaboration with the diaspora travels and so we're bringing a group down to the Durban. Cannabis Festival in June in Durban South Africa, what? And then of course, friendsgiving and emerald cup. Those are like our Pinnacle. Our pillar events. Yeah. So we're stoked about this year. That sounds amazing. Amazing. That sounds like so much fun. Exciting travel, I hate traveling. I hate flying.

I don't like driving, but if I know the end destination is going to be a place where it's absolutely just Bliss where you're just able to let go and just become a better person during that time. So so cool but you know to we're I want to take a little step back on there. Of course I mean I'm thinking yes you know charity was growing up. She was like I can't wait to be able to help people get into the world of cannabis. How the hell did you get into this? Oh my gosh. So growing up.

Charity was like I want to be a doctor and I want to help people and that evolved or devolved if you want to call him? No, no, that's it. Into a career as an educator. We're all of my work is and was focused around like creating experiences for Learners. And in the process of that, I got to run around the country and you know, fall in love with cannabis recreationally. And then I started to see how it

was supporting me mentally. It was better than any type of Xanax. It was more effective in terms of Activity. And so I'm hopping around the country for work. And I'm going to different cities and different festivals and enjoying myself to the fullest because of cannabis because it's like, kind of lets down some of those fuzzy anxieties that were keeping me

from enjoying my life. And at the same time, though, I was becoming very guilty and somewhat, you know, remorseful because there are family members that I Have their friends that I have, who are, you know, three strikes for a joint or for a doobie left in the ashtray, you know?

And, and so it was just, I was that that juxtaposition between extreme fun and enjoying myself, but but understanding that there were folks who I consider Pioneers in the field who were not able to have those same Liberties. And so, as I watched dispensaries go from these like glorified, trap houses with security T2 Apple Stores, you know, I'm not hating on the evolution. What I was like, what about my peeps? What about folks that I love and care about who are not getting

this access? So, it was like, okay, let's just merge this, like, I love taking folks on trips, you get them, you know, they're a captive audience because where they going to go down to the Cavs down in the couch. And, and, you know, that's where most of the most, like, revelatory like, aha. Conversations, evolved from that space of comfortability and enjoying an experience. And so, really leaning into the Fireside Chats where we talk about, informed consumption. Okay, you're a Dabber.

Your you like the bowl? Have you tried fronto Leaf. Have you tried, you know, Edibles and gummies. And so we just kind of have those conversations in these experiences. So that, you know, it's more of like, transformative travel. We want to take you to a place and have you experienced cannabis in such a way that you want to go speak out about it. You want to advocate for others, transformative travel, that sounds so cool.

Like every a, you know, I know a lot of different people within business, in this sounds like something really good that would fit within the culture of what they're trying to promote, which is what is it? It's like bet. It's a, it's like taking care of your employees by being able, to do incentive travel. That's what Instead of travel but transformational travel, that's awesome.

Because you leave one way and you you leave a grumpy asshole from wherever you're at and then you get there and you come back and you're chill and you're a little bit more more open and these the perspectives that you will see and learn in that amount of time is fantastic, as yeah. Cannabis just opened your mind to so many more perspectives. Absolutely. Yeah. And then you get to is like Emeril cup where there's this

Harvest ball. So you're intermingling with like oh geez of outdoor Groves and you're attending workshop on County stuff, you know, and it's just, you get to interact with the farmers and is not as, you know, commercial and big big brands are there, but they have such a respect for the plant and for the people who grow the plant and have been growing the plant, Or, you know, whatever that is and and it's like, in that way, you get transformed because your point of view

changes because you're not talking to the stoner, you know? But the person who really appreciates this plant and it's like a spiritual experience. It really is really is we call it Sacrament. I call it. See he called it Sacrament. I mean I, you know, for me it's just that moment now where it's become such a constant in my

life. Life. But people around me know you know if I'm stressed or if I'm having a difficult time liking my wife's like hey maybe you need to take a step outside, like yeah, you know, II should to get that Clarity and perspective. It's just kind of like changing always has been Just love it. Yeah. So you're out in Louisiana. Yeah, that we are louisiana-based company. So as of January 1, you know, two or three weeks ago, flower is medically legal here in Louisiana.

Yeah. Oh that's awesome. So that's a whole new world and then you have major Metroplex has like the Shreveport, Baton Rouge, New Orleans areas that Essentially decriminalizing it in the way that you kind of have to in Louisiana. Like the nopd, New Orleans, Police Department just recently, put a statement out and it's like, you know. Hey, look, just keep it keep it easy. Basically is what the statement is saying. It was loudly.

Got legally, he's in there but they're just keep it easy small amounts, we're just going to log, it might not even issue a citation, you know. And I'm thinking they don't even want to log that stuff. So, you know, just Just keep it easy. Yeah. Or else? I mean, Gary Chambers running for US Senate in Louisiana and he speaking loud things over there. You know. It's time people. Listen. Yeah. Gary's a junior.

Has been one of my, I consider him one of the lead revolutionaries not just on the Cannabis front, but especially since dropping that add a couple days. Yeah. Lighten up that big old blunt. Where else have we Saying that never lets time to be blunt, you know, some games later. Really you know, they say a picture's worth a thousand words so he gave a whole freaking visual about those 37 seconds, and right, we're behind in for it. We're ready to knock on doors

and campaign. I mean we were already just because of the work that he's done here in the Baton Rouge area. But when he took it to get there, He's like, oh yeah, we're knocking on doors for real, we're doors. Yeah, it's amazing. So I've got a big question on here and I really wanted to be able to take our listeners to it because what you do is so it I mean yeah there are a lot of different postings of edibles but the way that you guys do it, it's so much more.

It's spiritual physical, it's metaphysical. It's all three combined into one event, but you take them through. Most like a, what would be like a coerced dinner and, and being able to get that? Take us through that. Like, what's the appetizer? All the way to the desert. Take us through one time, even take some of your favorite aspects from different dinners, put them together. Oh, I shall.

Okay. So especially our suppers and our friends, giving dinners there are five courses and I work closely with the shifts, the respective, chef It's so, for instance, oh my gosh, this past year for friendsgiving in Dallas. We started with a bluefin tuna nigiri with caviar on top little row on top and that was followed by a Tuscan, Italian salad that the dressing was infused. Now that's the first two courses.

Now I'm going to hop over to friendsgiving New Orleans because after you know in New Orleans of course you have your gumbo, you have your salad where the dressing there was also a few peaceful people are still asking Chef Ashley for that recipe. And she said that was one of a kind. You should just come to forgiving again. But so there's gumbo salad and the way that she did the entree. This year in New Orleans is every other course was infused. So gumbo not salad dressing.

Yes, get to the main entree and she literally layered, not only flavors, but infusions. So there was a bed of sweet,

mashed potatoes. Mashed sweet, potatoes topped, with string beans, string beans is not the fancy word for it, and then on top, Was an individual cornish, hen all infused with THC and then I'm going to hop back over to Dallas because I'm a posture that and Dallas what is formally trained in Italy. And so he's like he did a whole show and a conversation around the different types of pasta and the difference between fettuccine and linguine all while hand pressing, you know, from flower.

Our and eggs pasta, right before your eyes. And then I'm going to go back a couple of years to friends because I have to describe. Yes, absolutely. Oh my God, I want you to love this and fill it in and we got to get y'all out here. We do, it sounds delicious. And I hope the people listening are drooling as much as we are. Yeah. Absolutely. These are not any Edibles, these are like put your mom's Edibles to shame. I'm too bad. Like they don't stand a chance. Tamar masterfully, crafted

infusions. And when I tell you about this purple, sweet potato pie, that was infused with Granddaddy Purp so I really want you. So it's like a purple purple potato pie, infused with a shot glass of eggnog. But the glass was like dipped in glazed in this honey and then rolled and edible flowers. So it's just you get to Like lick the glass and take the shot and it's just it's a whole experience. I'm high right now. Just I'm getting a contact high through the microphone.

Yes you are kind of a weakling. Yeah no that's not all because like after every supper we included with every package is a gift box where I call it the Cannabis or Essentials where we have You know pre-rolls that have been selected candles just general Ambience and you know just luxurious dating around the flower, different gummies and Edibles like Delta Aid and that way we can have these conversations like what is Delta 88, what is, you know, a CBD bath bomb.

How is it going to impact me more than these Edibles that I'm taking and and then personal charcuterie boxes. See we've been covid friendly since before covid because He likes to share their munchie snacks but we all kind of want to, you know, Vibe out and taste together. Perfect, yes, it's amazing. I love it. Y'all when they're too high to pass it anyway, cause you know, they can't get the words out. They can just hold onto their own personal little box. I love that that box is.

So it's so emotional from just from what I'm thinking about it because they get a leave and each piece that they were consuming, and they're feeling that one, it takes him back a transports and back to that time where they're being able to have this transformational meal and and being able to experience these wonderful foods. But really having the opportunity to have a more I would say romantic first introduction to th see because some of them are not.

I mean some of my first experiences were not good. They were not good. Somebody wasn't there to say? No, not so much. You're like, I have to get them all. It's like, trying to eat a whole bag of Hillier of, like, like Swedish Fish or cinnamon bears, you're like just have one like there's no, no, I can't do that. Well, you know, sometimes on these excursions. Seems like I can't think of a Denver Excursion in particular, I will not call any names, you know who you are.

If you're listening they really just know they'll be listening and they'll know exactly who but this person and I will not use gender to call them out, but they decided that do these gummies ain't shit and we're going to eat a whole container. And yeah that person was pretty much asleep for like Three days. Yeah, how many milligrams, do you think we're in that container easily 10? 10 mg.

Yeah, because they were Peach flavored, it was very deceptive, but some lessons you listen to and learn and some you experience and learning, we're all about experiences. So we did a lot of like coddling and you know, essentially cannabis dueling that night I've had a friend take 150 mg and they have a really low tolerance and it's fun. Now, I ask people what's your side?

Oh okay, so we're just going to let you learn the hard way with lots of Pedialyte and snacks after you wake up, it'll be fine. Sorry. Remember from our previous conversation though, and you guys really think about the entire experience includes. For those who are brand new to it because most people that I talk to they want to start with Edibles. They always want to start with that of books.

Has to least invasive way that you can be able to try and consume it sometimes burning flowers too harsh for them they'll get around to it they'll realize it but you guys like actually ask them. A lot of questions based on tolerance. Is that right? Hmm. Absolutely. So tolerance. A Ford preferred methods of consumption are part of the questionnaire. That is part of the intake process.

So once a person registers, they receive the series of emails and in there, we get things like their T-shirt size for, you know, Merchant stuff, but we really lean into finding out. Okay. So what's your preferred method of consumption is there? Or is there not? And then we use that to kind of help cater and create the curricula of the experience. And then we find out tolerance So self-reported tolerance, you know, tree what? A little standard deviation roundabouts.

But self-reported tolerance, so that then folks get different color coded bands so that when we're in the midst of the experience they're easily identifiable. So we're not walking around saying oh you're a newbie. Oh you're a pro but we know as a part of the team you know how to cater to each one individually, how to walk them color band, you? We're me. Hmm. Come on. All three. So that's what I need to do when I'm there is where all three to get the dose?

I think so. No my give you a special band like we gotta we gotta get some VIP Platinum Band. Yeah. Emerald. They're like they're like like a metallic Emerald color. So you're wearing that there does like oh, your veins are straight THC. Yeah, you're pretty much this this guy eats, you know he eats Keith by the handful.

That's right. It's all activate and he just eats it. So I might have recently done a long trip and on that trip I was probably doing about 800 milligrams a day, just a PhD, yeah, plus pens and not just because I, yeah, I hurt way too much and certain positions to could imagine that we could admit. I mean, I couldn't function, but, you know, and that's that's

old thing. Like when we've had these conversations with others, who when we talk about levels of consumption, And we also talked about levels of tolerance for whatever you're using it for. So like I mean, if I've ever been in tremendous pain and I use, you know, if I get an injury or something and I use an Indica that usually just coils the pain, but it doesn't make me sleepy. But with this guy, I mean, he's cracked disc in his back. I mean, that sucks. Oh my gosh, this is so awesome.

So, right now with you guys is growth, you guys are going there. We're past where it passed covid ish, right? And now, we're moving in there. Yeah, I mean, people are if they're either yay or nay or in

between. But are you guys starting to see, like a big pickup as far more people getting interested and starting to do bookings, you know, I think it's a combination of, you know, being in the house fatigue low Cabin Fever mixed with you know, okay Outdoors is starting to open and we're offering more Selections in terms of Versions and supper opportunities. So I would say yes, absolutely.

I think the fact that we already catered to smaller groups so, you know, her team unity and whatnot, so that it's smaller groups, anyways, and the more Boutique and safer experience in that manner. So yes it is incredibly picking up, we've gotten more interest in the past three to four months than Before and we're really excited about that. I guess as Louisiana is coming around locally, its meaning more but Nationwide, we're getting more interest.

We have a couple who's coming down from the East Coast for Mardi, Gras experience, like none other. So I'm really looking forward to hosting more and more folks, and more and more places. Yeah, that's super exciting. Let's call to see how it grow. Yeah, one is especially with these types of opportunities for, you know, more and more people are opening up to it. You know, you have your very conservative side who, you know, has been brought up, believing to cannabis is evil. It's bad.

It's a Gateway or whatever it may be. But as the devil's lettuce is the devil's, lettuce, double just You know what? That's fine. We're talking about Devil's lettuce now. I'm thinking about that your lettuce, your salads need to be called Devil's lettuce, and he just kind of hand it over right. There you go. That's kind of funny Devil's lettuce. It's infused into the history of how, you know, right cannabis is used in Providence, it's so ridiculous. It is.

But, you know, everybody that I've known who's recently got into Yes, they have that hard discussion with family members or friends that are like, I don't know what you're doing with your life. You know? You're going to screw it up if they have no idea what they're talking about, and it's just a, it's a slight Ignorance by the general public. And, and having things such as where because typically, when you think about Stoners eating its, you know, Cheetos and microwave burritos.

But when you're being able to go to an experienced, such as Destiny, in enhanced cannabis, enhances the flavors. And especially, I mean when you're talking about that sweet potato pie. Oh my gosh. As I was tasting that velvetiness of it and and it just that that mix of savory and sweet.

Yeah, I'm doing the same thing, I'm like, oh my gosh, but the eggnog, everything, it just, it's an experience where you can remember and it's not something that you can have every day and that's why it's worth it. That's why it's it'd behoove people to be able to go and Parents it because you only get were flying around on this rock flying through space, right? And and me. Yes. Yeah. Momentum or you could be taken

tomorrow. So go enjoy one of these dinners so you can really enjoy cannabis and then you'll start singing the Praises you'll start going. Hey, it's cool. You got to be able to take this. Yeah. And it's perfect bone or the educate. You a little bit more about cannabis. Oh my gosh. Yes! Oh, you've got you feeling good. Your belly's full. Let's talk about this word, Devil's lettuce.

Let's let's talk Talk about why? It's a freaking, let's talk about marijuana and how that works as well, you know, I just want people to, we take them on an emotional almost, you know, sensual in fact that we use the senses like, you're seeing this beautiful thing, you're tasting this lovely food. You're hearing these awesome conversations and thoughts, you know, we really want to take you there and have you feeling all

great, and then shaky, What? A few of the facts and then say now that you're fired up, here's what you can do, go do it, how can we help? You know, so that inform consumption piece. These carefully curated experiences. Like I wish you could see all the chart paper that's around me right now, because this is how it starts, this is how it starts, it translates to a

spreadsheet. I don't bring any products before our guests that I have not tried and can vouch for And I'm very picky, I love details and I'm a Taurus. So I love to luxury and I love to feel and taste and hear and smell and to share that with other people. This is like, are you kidding me? This is this who wouldn't want to do this? Oh yeah. I mean, I've seen the show bong Appetit, forever ago and that's all it makes me think of is

these are really classy. Curated, like incredible experiences that Edible and fused. And to me that is that's like heaven. So it is, it really is and then you pair it with like a music festival and you get to see Billy eilish and you get to see Harry Styles, and you get to see freaking Kanye on top of the festival experience in and of itself. And you don't have to think about any of the details.

It's like just get on a flight and come because the time we pick you up from the airport, your Snacks are waiting on you. It's like the ultimate over exhale and there's like pre-rolls or whatever your method. Our consumption are. We caught on the dispensary? Ha, we're getting you to the function. You walking around the festival. If you need anything, you call us. Like, what is this? You know. Yeah, it's like first class if Miss Frizzle were to host a cannabis field trip, that's the

vibe. I want you to feel. Please tell me where that like this missile Trask, I have read Glasses that are that works to feel that transformation. And how else do we transform our thinking and our beliefs about anything through emotions. You know, we got to leverage that Yeah, but that's so amazing. So where where can we find out more information about how do we start booking? Are you guys completely booked out already for 2022? Are we looking to 2023 where we

have? So this year, we're doing something different, and we're offering folks, the opportunity to join a list. So if you join our SMS list, you'll get alerts for each excursions registration. In two weeks prior before it goes public. So you'll have the opportunity to lock in at a lower price on a payment plan with the deposit. But yes, before it goes public. And so that's a no, that's an option. You can always go to excursions dot sow and reap that cam.

We spell, so the Cajun way. So it's Seau X. All things, Louisiana. So excursions, that sow and reap.com. You can find information there. It'll Tell you the number to text to join and then so for instance folks have been we're almost sold out of Mardi. Gras brunch just off a pre-sales along. So I'm really geeked out about that. And yeah, and so like on in a week or so, it'll go actually in three days is going to go public, so higher prices but we'll see who will come in on that batch.

Otherwise, you know, hang out round because going to, Scourges that's on read that cam will also give that advance notice for Coachella for the high tea. We're going to do a high tea and Atlanta around Mother's Day weekend. I'll cool high tea. My eyes are starting to get thinner and thinner by the second D. Just talking about it. Look at that and eyes are right. A red and Did so awesome. That's the goal.

It makes me want to do like before and after testimonials like catch folks as they're coming in had come on the way out and it's like this is the experience. This is the difference, did the before, and after shots and their face and it's like a grumpy asshole walking in and then the leg really happy, it was great Milan from the inside, like Stone walking. I love it.

Well actually be able to have all that information will put it into our show notes will also for those of us who found this through Instagram and Angela been a lot of you and we thank you so much. We're going to be sharing a lot of the information through our Instagram as well. If you guys are in any of the areas over there, take this opportunity, just heart signing up soon as you can or even if not jump on a plane take a trip. It's definitely going to be

worth the time is right. Get that Cabin Fever out there and really experience what what the world of cannabis in because you can only tell if more people are educated and feel good about it. Not and not having this horrible

ideas. As far as were a bunch of Outlaws, being able to use this, we're just trying to be able to improve The Human Condition. This is a place to go to start with that one, and they can take it back and those seeds start to spreadin more informations out there start and demonizing this. Yes, planting those seeds plant knows. That's right. That was lettuce, grows fast, it does and it's delicious when it's infused with an olive oil. My goodness there. Don't look, don't forget about

that. Sweet potato pie. Now you got me thinking about it. Hmm, look, we're going to work something out. We got to figure this out. We'll get there. We'll get there. Definitely. Yes, well thank you so much charity for being able to join us before we go. We always like to start with. We always ask the question. Brandon what's your favorite strain? You've got it on your arm, right? You got a tattoo Super Lemon Haze. That's right. Not absolutely. That's an artist.

Brian Brown. He is the awesomest. Yeah, Super Lemon Haze. Y'all it just does something to my taste buds. It just it just wakes up my or nature whole now, like, Super Lemon Haze. It's like, dude, fantastic, I have to, when I smell of it, I have to like, yeah. Now I'm literally like, Smelling it, I can resist. Yeah, it stinks. Yeah. It's it's a so citrusy but sweet to the same time. Oh my goodness. And the hi. You're so lucid and productive saying. Yes.

Yeah it's like the best day. Yeah it's fantastic. It's a great daytime high. Oh Dad, I'm all about that. You know, especially for Creative Adventure, especially for food when you're cooking, you know, some of the inventions that you come up with like could we combine these and what would be the flavor profiles? So absolutely. And then other one is, what's a thought? You want to leave with our listeners? Compassion and informed consumption. That's the future of cannabis. Yeah, I agree.

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. That is awesome. Thank you so much for coming on and letting us being able to just have his wonderful conversation but we're now I think we got way more out of this than you too. Because now all I'm thinking about is like if I could experience that and that there's people out there that could Experience that I mean right now just imagine how many more board meeting should be held around a sow and reap Excursion. Instead of like a board meeting table.

Yes, a golf course. Thank you go and sit down with some cannabis and this fine first class experience and open your minds and open your perspectives and so many things will get done. So many things will get done. Talk about whipping out the Chart paper. Let's go or else that shit. Done. Cool. Well thanks charity.
