Today we're talking about pieces, we're going to talk about pipes bongs, bubblers joints, just all sorts of stuff today. Now, right on, so that it's a lot of these separate. Types of products. Well, I should say apparatus has of ways to consume cannabis with fluid and focusing on just flour. Today there are so many different ways and typically people start with the most simplistic kind which is a joint
brand, what's a joint with? So, a joint is usually Either a hemp paper at actually, a lot of them are hemp paper raw, all of those companies that are made from just hemp and it's a little paper with a filter or something at the end to block the flower and it's just rolled up into it looks like as hear it. Yeah. So the best way to be able to describe it as a cannabis cigarette, it's quite a bit different. It's not as dense as a regular
cigarette. Its hand roll Umm, there are products that be able to help roll this up a year. You showed me that? What is it that you use to be able to roll a joint is. So I actually have a hand roller for joints because I'm terrible with rolling joints. Still by hand. I just can't get them. The same blunts I can roll just fine by hand but joints, they have this roller, you just put it in, put the filter at the
very end. Put your In close it up and then you roll that piece of paper in and then lick the little sticky strip of the end and roll that all up. And then, you just have a little joint at the end. Nice. Nice. Yeah. So with the joint, now, we're going to put into the show notes. The roller that Brandon uses, we could be able to find a link but it over there. So for your resource, when you're looking into it, what type of paper is what they look
like? We'll put several different links in there for you to be able to check it out if you're considering that. But even to go even more old-school, this is this is really fun. This for the crafty kids. Yeah. Tell us about smoking for an apple. Why would people smoke from an Apple? Oh man, so an apple is fantastic to smoke out of at least, if it's a good apple because at the end, you have a tasty munchie snack. Little bit of Stuff in it or you
just don't eat that part. You just see the rest of it. So is that why? People it's a snack going to go with the ball? Well it's easy to make so you literally just take like a pencil or pen poke it through something small. You have handmade Bull Music your flower up top. Now, a lot of people when they're doing that, they're just carrying around nugs. Now, there's these people out there that I've seen who have been smoking for years or using cannabis for years, and they're
breaking it apart. But their fingers, like Savages to put in the pre, the made bowl out of an apple. Yeah, we're into a joint or into their bond. Like they don't know what a grinder is. So if you don't know a grinder, Is just like a coffee grinder to not really electric metal, they have different layers to collect, you know, the broken up flower, you put the flour that's not broken up up top and you grind it apart and that separates it, and that makes it so much better to smoke or
anything. Then just trying to break it apart or throwing an entire nugget in to the top of your pipe. I've seen people do that to it. It's terrible, Savages. Yeah, we'll put into the show notes as well, at what a grinder is. So when you're going to a dispensary, if it's your first time and, you know, you're a little to bit hesitant on, I just ask him. You know what's going to be the best grinder? I'm going to use for this. Like Brandon said, they're metal.
There are plastic ones, I recommend those. I would recommend sharp Stone. I've had a sharp Stones over the years. My first one, I had got stolen after a party for my dirty. 30. And that was a sharp Stone, but that thing had gone through so much flour. And I went and bought another one, and not one. I've had for four and a half years and it's still trucking along like a champ. Yeah. Sharp Stone Grinders are fantastic. It's a good investment. Especially if you're pulling.
If you're that kind of person, says, I got up and pull it just because it's all the way you've ever known depending on the type of Bud. That Or working with it can be a little sticky and it starts getting all over your fingers and and there's a lot of things that these Grinders will catch that will be a lot easier for you to be able to load into a pipe and apple and a joint. So, going back to Joint. I roll a joint butts. Am going to pre roll a bunch of them. How long should I keep that
joint around? If it's just chilling, sitting out move, I just like to use it and smoke it that day. I don't like 22. Have a joint or Ground Up Flower sitting around for a long time because it's just sitting out getting stale. Okay, so what would you put it in to try and help it from keeping it? I mean, you can always put it in a mason jar and a Ziploc bag. There's a million long, would you games from their couple days? Tops couple days.
So best thing to think about is, if you've got you've got your nugs, you got your cannabis in a bag that you've been able to get from the dispensary. Hold on to it wait before. Or you're going to smoke. Then grind. It then roll it. Yeah. It's just like coffee. You know, you wouldn't get out your beans and grind everything up for the entire month, you grind your coffee beans in the morning, because you want it to taste better. Well, but, I mean, that's you.
So, I mean, you know, for those ones that are that there are individuals who are thinking that, like, I could pre-roll this stuff, I come home from work, I don't have to go through the steps and just smoke them. I mean, you can and a lot of people will store joints. There are what they put them in the freezer. Yeah, exactly. Really. No. But you could put it in like a humidor box.
I would actually go to a cigar shop and buy one of those little boxes that they have cigars in and just get the humidity packet and put it in there because that will keep the flower from getting drier and not, okay, because it's going to go to grade and quality. Well, then, that brings us to the next one is a blunt. So what is a blunt? A blunt is a lot of people make them different ways. So, what's the stereotypical? So back when I was in the Navy?
Yeah, I know I smoke when I was in the Navy, no Sailors or other service people, ever, ever, smoked, I don't know anyone who served his folks, but I'm a degenerate. And so when I was in the Navy it was a guy. He bought a swisher, sweet cigar. Our little cheap ass cigars, he split that thing down the center because the cigars made out of like a tobacco leaf and then he opened it up, cleared out all the tobacco sometimes they lead tobacco in. Yeah.
Get a different Sensation from that but he just took out all the pack tobacco and just sprinkled in. Do you hear that sprinkling? Yeah, he's a Sprinkle in the Cannabis over there and then he roll it up and it was really soft and it was smoke that, but there are other ways that the blunts are rolled, what would they roll a blunt with? So blunt cyan role, but they actually just have the tobacco
leave. Basically, in a rap, you buy, that looks just like a joint rap for those who are familiar with that but bigger ER, and usually dark brown looking like a cigar. So you pull that up, you don't have to worry about tearing apart a cigar, having it fall apart, not go nice, blunt wraps are super handy. So Rio and what's the difference between a joint and a blunt? This is just sighs Sighs and of
course, blunt wraps are tobacco. So you will get a little bit of a nicotine buzz mixed with that if you are doing blunt. Whereas Join is just a apps. You don't feel any of that but they do have him blank rappers now made out of hemp just have material now. Have you tried any of those? Yeah but they don't they don't burn as well. They don't roll as well. I think they're still perfecting them. I would say they do have other ones that are clear. They're made from like a Rice
paper. Yeah, I must but like totally translucent and they're made from something just so you can see the flower, but they don't, they always seem to roll funny and they, those when smoke weird too. They're just not that great. Yeah, it sounds like you're doing, like want on wraps and putting it in there and just like, yeah, you want to smoke this or you want to deep fry, it put some cream cheese in the middle. Like we do you think that might be tasty?
Yeah. But there are finally I went to Colorado couple of years ago and found these wraps called King pong ping, pong wraps and they are Palm leaves with corn husk filters and they are the slowest rolling smoothest smoking. You will ever find at least that I have ever found. And where do you find that? Oh everywhere out here.
Now everywhere all over Colorado, when I started coming back after going to Denver, and going to head shops or smoke shops around here saying hey do you guys have this? And I know you should check them out and now they are all over out here. Well that's cool. So you can find it at any head shop, you can probably order these online so. Oh yeah. Both roles like in the description.
Yeah, definitely. So We've talked about the rolling, we've talked about the paper side so I want to move into the small hand pipes, typically, this is for a beginner, I am not a fan of small pipes. There's only been like one or two that I've been okay with. But like that one I ordered. What was that one called humor? It has that weird little like bong. I have a fantastic. Yeah, yeah. But it was okay. But the From what I've experienced from small pipes is I get a really deep burn from
from the Cannabis burn. It's just harsh for me and my alone or is that just something that affects me? I mean, for you do you are you okay with like little hand pipes? Yeah, but each apparatus or each device I use differently, okay? Because the Amount I pull and how much air I let into my pole is dependent on the peace that I'm using. Okay. Because yeah, of course, depending on what I'm actually using some are harsh and so you have to do more air in your
pool. You know, open your mouth and let in air. Don't pull constantly pop on it and you know, kind of Taper it against your lips. Yeah, I didn't thought I gave you're saying because it's it definitely is a delicate thing. You can't. It's not like a cigarette where you can just sit there and you can pull as hard as you want to get more tobacco.
This is very different. And so your Paul I would even I mean when you're doing a pipe it's not and you to just sort of art as you can to try and get as much in you because that's pretty, that's pretty harsh. So it's definitely kind of a slow and You know, low and slow, and allowing your lungs to kind of get a feeling of what you can take. So, with the hand pipes, there's a little, like, it's carb a carb. What, what is the card mean?
Yeah, so carb is just a hole in this side of the pipe that allows you to block or allow are in with the smoke, okay? So it adjusts. How much are you pulling in? This is how much smoke you're playing it. But usually, there's a reservoir on a pipe in a reservoir builds up smoke. So, even if you're pulling your thumb on and off of that car, or that whole, that can build up a lot of smoke in there. And then, if you're still pulling, you're going to get all that smoke.
But depending on how much you care, you're letting in, at the same time, it'll make it less harsh for your lungs from the, that makes sense. So Do it for those who are listening of there. Again, this one's going to be really heavy on the show notes. You're going to be able to see different links over there for you to check out if you've ever looked at. So I'm going to actually go up because there's a variety of ones. There's glass blown was there, metal ones?
That are plastic ones. There's grafted ones made out of wood. There's so many different types. So it raises silicone ones, right? There's ice ones that you buy the silicone mold and make a piece. Out of ice and then smoke through that ice piece and then it melts after it's done. Yeah, I don't know, I try to keep it pretty simple. Yeah. But that I mean, you know, shit it, you know if you're just like, you know, I think else has got some really cool stuff going on with her.
And if that chain, we make a bad choice, you could make a little pipe out of eyes. Why can't I? Yeah, I mean, who knows. So that little snowman guy but he's got one made out of carrots or something. It's got a big old bong. Yeah, his all these data to mean, you know, here you've seen him. Oh, so he talks. Yeah. So singing and songs and that so going from pipe over there, so My least favorite, which is like a small hand pipe to one of my favorites. And that is a small bubbler.
What is a bubbler bubbler is basically, like a pipe, but in that Reservoir area, it has water. So it runs the smoke down through the water and filters that before running it into your lungs. So, it's like a typical type of filter that you would see at a cigarette. So it's going to take a little bit of the Carcinogens out of it. Mmm. Okay. And that and that's what obviously some, but this like a standard bubbler won't remove all the carcinogens and those
are made out of glass. Are they made out of anything else. I don't know if I've really seen a bubbler that's made out of anything. Well, silicone there are the silicone ones that I've seen, but but nothing that's like, wood or metal. Most of the bubblers are glass. I would imagine so because the glass can take a lot of heat, but it can also clean really
easily. So, with the bong, well, with the bubbler of it, we are typically looking at how much to be able to spend on a unlike a standard. Third first time, bubbler that all depends on where you go, you'll find that they range depending on the head shop. You can find them as cheap as $15 for a super cheap. One all the way up to a hundred dollars or more depending on some of them because they are hand-blown and blown by artists.
They look like art pieces so they can get pretty pricey depending on the piece of art that you end up. So, if you're on a, on a budget, you can get the other ones if you're feeling a little Swanky get yourself a nice one, like a hand-blown one, and you guys can check out for some cheap ones who were four different pricing. You can check out everything for 420.com, but though that in the show notes as well, great place to find things, as cheap as $4.20 up to 42 dollars and zero.
Anything that ends in 420, Very cool. Okay, so the bubblers, they're great. Yeah. What about going, A step above that? Where we go from a bubbler when we go to a small bomb? Yeah, yeah, I would say a small bomb would be next and they have them ranging from like I'd say, 68 inches tall like two, three, four feet tall. Ooh, yeah. I've seen some ridiculous bongs for sure. So, the bomb The difference between a bong and a bubbler. So a bubbler is just a really
small handheld peace. Upon is a much larger one. Usually, it has different filters in their different stages of water as well, so it filters it multiple times and helps clean out more of the crap in it, where the carcinogens, but make sure you clean your piece. Regularly, it'll smell like booty if you don't and it gets so Oh gross. Yeah, that it'll build up super quick. So let's go through, though. You got a bubbler, you got a bong.
What's going to be the best way to clean it zap, they sell that at Lowe's. It's this fantastic decrease or super strong stuff. You can throw that in if it's really built up, throwing some heavy salt, heavy salt, and shake that around. Okay, that sounds pretty cool. So, so we've gone from bubblers and bongs now Going to move a little bit more into the technology side. So Brandon, tell us about volcanoes. Yeah. Favorite that I've used other friends. That I know have this.
It's a storz and Bickel and they make the volcano and it is a dry herb, vaporizer basically good, but it's meant for your desktop so it's on your desk. It just hangs out at looks like a little volcano. Cane. And a, you attach these bags to the top of it, and it fills up that bag with d carb, cannabis, it resets only inactivated, mmm because it just bakes at like an oven. And so what you're left with in that is all this D carped flower that you can use to make your own Edibles tinctures or
lotions. And it's a much healthier way to use it because you don't get all the carcinogens because you're not burning. Ryan. And with the, The Volcano it is definitely different. When you're taking, when you're inhaling it, it doesn't feel. I don't feel that burn. Is that pretty common in the, the Turks have anything, the tribunes to have anything to be
able to affect the call. Well, I'll cough sometimes because it's still dry on inhaling, something heated, but I don't ever get, it's not a burnt sensation, I don't have that. That same feeling as I do from ever smoking something? Yeah, I agree. I've I'm at the volcanoes that you've had me. Try in the one brand. You're talking about. We've talked about that one. I mean. Yeah, it's on our wish list. Yeah, it's fantastic. Looking piece and the friends. I have loved it so well.
Now let's talk about one of the packs. I have a lot of friends who have the packs three and it's been a fantastic piece because it's portable you can use it out and about and it's about the size of I have a roll of quarters. Yeah it's pretty small. I've enjoyed it it's pretty cool. You click the top and then it flashes a bunch of lights and then it vibrates when it's ready to go. Yeah. So we'll throw some links in the show notes for that as well, but
yeah, those are cool. These are all options. You can be able to look for wrap this up branded. You had talked to me about this before we got on about something that's being Able to help out with a lot of the carcinogens. And let's talk about that Reef, or we go into the good part of it. What are some of the bad things about smoking flower? Yeah. With smoking flower, just because you are inhaling smoke. Just like any other. Smoke is harmful for your lungs.
It builds up carcinogens. It can over time if you smoke regularly and unlike cigarettes, if you stop smoking cannabis those effects on your life. Go away. Okay? But there is now a company that's producing glass bubblers and bongs that actually removes. Those carcinogens, when you smoke, it sounds expensive. Yeah, not not terribly priced, actually.
I saw there between 100 to $200 for a piece, but if you are using regularly and that's something that has been a concern for you, You. That's an easy fix, dude. So scientific, inhalations. They has all their data on there that you have all the research of, you know, how many carcinogens are removes or pesticides because, you know, not everyone's flour is created equally.
Yeah, we had definitely and it's a little difficult depending on where you're being able to buy your cannabis depending on the dispensary. There's a lot of different factors go into that but Oh, that's good to know and remembering that, you know, even though everything, I mean, you can take it in moderation. If you're a pretty consistent user everyday, user look for these opportunities.
Look for these other different types of products to be able to kind of help cut back on those carcinogenic feelings that you get from a. But we always say, flour, first. And, and the big reason why is that it is, by far the most, pure experience that you're going to be able to experience with the plant. Oh yeah, there's a lot more. Or cannabinoids in it a lot more terpenes because it is just the natural plant. When you get the extracts and that it's, it's never quite the same experience.
No, it's still good. But at the same time, I mean and we will go into an episode just on extracts and different ways on how to be able to use those extract. But when we're starting with flour, first it's by far the most economical, it's by far, the easiest to consume. There's not a lot of other factors outside factors including like, electricity or anything like that.
You can use a flame, you could use an apple, you can use whatever you want and avocado, whatever I want if you're desperate for and you really aren't a tight budget, trust me, even a Coke can is going to be able to help you out and getting that done. But we just wanted to be able to pass this information on to you guys. Take check take a look at those show notes.

Don't be afraid to ask your local budtender about whatever strain you're inquiring about, which one's going to be the best with what type of apparatus of the joints going to be better. They're usually pretty consistently using their products and or at least some kind of product there, right? And they're going to know, so, all right.
