Welcome to cannabis school. I'm your host Jessie Angeles and I'm Brandon Elder and we're here to talk to you about everything pertaining to cannabis from debate flowering Edibles strains and everything in between. All right, thanks for tuning in. Welcome back, guys. Yeah, he another Tuesday. Another strain. Yeah, it's a coming up on 4/20 tomorrow. Wow. That already happy holidays. Yeah. Hmm. You know, for all those I mean and for new people interesting to cannabis.
So if you don't know, 420 was used as a law-enforcement turn to say that there was possession of cannabis or marijuana is it's common. Lee known as and now it's, it's a number of Celebration. It's a time for you to take care of your head. Yeah. But you first. Yeah. But you first so when it's 4:20, you know, everybody kind of laughs about it. There's means if you ever seen that Meme of that guy, got that watch tattooed on his wrist and it says 420 it. So is 424 that guy?
You know, I support that, you know, you do, you know what I do as well, there was a message, one of my input like co-workers had sent in the main company chat and it had like H2O and it was just a gif and it transformed into 420. I just struggled to myself like I mean, did he just do that on the the company chat? Yeah, with Like everyone in there, all the sea level, it's just hilarious but you know seem all spark up when they saw that for all those today.
If it's 4:20 right now the time wise man it's a good time but thinking about 420. So Brandon tells a little bit more about what 420 is that the Cannabis Community for those who don't know. Yeah 420 is just a really big holiday writes. A celebration of cannabis. There's canvas events cannabis. Communities just really good deals going on all month long at dispensaries or shops online. I just bought a new piece. Yeah, it's a great time to add to your collection or try a new product.
Well, in speaking of trying, a new product, Today we're going to be talking about something that I don't know why I was think this, but I think of that you remember, Spider-Man in the in the and all the the shows were dislike. It looks like his like whole outfits, blue and red and then he gets bit by it. That's what I think of this straight. This is straight and we're going to be talking about today. Yeah, they strain were talking about is blue with not a black widow.
This won't sleep with you and kill you. And know she'll taste like She'll smell like blueberries. Yeah blueberries for sure. Look the best way I've heard it described is not like a fresh blueberry but an artificial blueberry and I always think about you ever gotten that those crusties pancake mix that has the pieces of fake-ass. Right? Blueberry, you never it's candy. It's just powder. But when you get mean eating it is just just disgusting. I don't know why you do that but
maybe you're into that. But when you come, Kit and it just it's just delicious. That's why I think about that smell of. It's a very almost artificial. Smell of blueberry. What you think? Bluebird. Static blueberry. Yeah, but it smells like it because fresh blueberries don't smell like candy blueberries. No, not right drastically different yeah, big difference, similar taste. So yeah. I mean blue widow. So blue widow. Is this, this is a hybrid.
It's a true hybrid, isn't it? It's an Indica leaning hybrid. That's what it is. A gate, is it decently balanced strength and it's perfect for 420. This is like a great strain for sharing. Well, that's be relatives cannabis. Like every strain is great for sharing. I would agree. And also I mean, in some aspects because like, this train blue widow is a very, and it's a like, a lot of the other ones that are introspective. But also, Because there are some introspective strains.
We're being around other people, and if they're being annoying, it's good. Not as enjoyable. Yeah, it's going to release our your mood and your just going to be your body's going to feel elevated, but your minds going to be annoyed. But this is one of those where you can be sociable on them and even if they're not, you know, great conversationalist or any of that.
Still pretty chill. And yeah, it's a really like calming uplifted you for extreme but like still focused and if you have high enough doses it'll make you sleepy. Yeah, absolutely. No I can attest to that. What's the lineage of this strain? Where does this come from? Yeah, it's actually bred with blueberry and white widow. So blueberries a great Indica strain and white widow is a really nice sativa hybrid that explains why I'm being asked You're a hybrid.
Why it's higher on the Indica there, right? Yeah. It's really not bad. The most common terpene in this. One is a mirror seeing. Okay. But yeah that this smells on this one like you said are really like Barry. There's like sour Pine and citrus sisters and I heard almost like an orange rind and that that does test to it. Like if almost like like if you took the, the outside of a freshly peeled orange, he's took part of the writing use. Squeezed it. And you see it kind of missed
off from that oil. I just picture the intro to Dexter where he's like. Slicing the orange and shows a misting and spring up. Yeah. Just put it in the fridge pressed. Yep. So on on this train, what are been? Some of you. I mean, I've had this in flour. Have you had this innovate? I haven't I've only experienced this in flower, but the flower was fantastic. Yeah, I agree. The flower made me. It really was kind of a mean, again, being more of an Indica dominant.
Yeah, I would say kind of rolled up almost to, like, my upper chest and a little bit into my shoulders. That's where I felt it most and it wasn't one of those where you're deeply euphoric. Where you're dizzy? You know, you know those strains where you kind of Step around you're like whoa, slow down. That was my first like, edible experience. With a really large dose on a
brownie. I actually just laid on the couch, listening to music for a bit because the nausea was too much if I were to leave this spins. Yeah. Being careful with that this was a but even though being an Indica one is definitely a homebody or maybe even like kind of going out to like the movies, not necessarily something that you want to. To be doing a lot of physical stuff. I mean, at least for me because I'm not a big indicator user.
I agree, though, this is perfect for chilling at home, you know, stranger things, 3, or something and sit down and watch an episode or a bunch for the Four Seasons come. Now I'll shoot. There you go. It looks good. Yeah, perfect timing. But yeah, it's really nice. This trains commonly used for chronic pain which for me is fantastic but It's also for like muscle spasms and depression and stress inflammatory conditions, like arthritis and insomnia. So it's a pretty well balanced
hybrid. Then really the only negative effects are like dry mouth, dry eyes, and a little bit of paranoia. If you're yeah if you're prone to that. Yeah, I mean it and knowing the paranoia, I think it's almost like are independent of annoyed system where we kind of become more susceptible to that one based on the strain. Like, Indicas can make me a little bit paranoid. They just do sativas.
I don't get that. But for you sativas the opposite, if you have too much of it, you know, a little bit more anxious. I feel the tension mostly in like my shoulders and my neck is where I'll fill it. And then it's not necessarily that. I feel like I'm personally anxious. I just noticed like my body feels tense. Yeah. And I'm like, why am I have cleaning like this? To me? Oh, okay it's this strain and then I just Read the
differently. I change how I'm breathing, usually change it to deeper breaths and then that tension. I feel melt away. You know when you're talking about the tension melting away, I was thinking about that the product that we've been using Lately from foxy flower, ah, it's been a lifesaver this last week decided to try and move a bookshelf with the books in it. And for someone with a bad back already, that's a really, really stupid idea.
So, I was pulling it towards me. Just sitting on The ground thinking it was doing great. Have this terrible pop in my low back and I couldn't move right? My daughter comes in the room just like Dad are you okay? And I'm like holding back tears laying on the ground like not I'm fine. I go to get up and it's it was a struggle. Like it was hard to get off the floor and the last Four days have just been miserable from that. And this this trouble stick from epoxy flower has been a
lifesaver. It's this, like almost looks like a glue stick sighs. Yeah, looks like upstair eat around my pocket. I can carry it around anywhere I go, but I don't smell like Bengay. I'm is old person smell with it whenever I do. Huh, why rabbit hunting someone's like, oh my God. Are we in an old folks home? No, don't worry. It's just me. Yeah.
So I like that because I can put it on and I don't feel like I smell gross and it really sinks in to help with those deep pains totally get like, I have a bad shoulder, my left shoulder is always been bad from doing stuff. When I was young and dumb, lifting weights, heavy too heavy for me at the time, messed it up, and I have yet to find anything other than being able to use a ton of ibuprofen and tylenol this trouble. Stick was awesome.
Being able to rub it on that spot and like you said it doesn't stink and it has this form of cvd extraction called spurge Eric and spurge Eric is it's taking it to older method, or they introduced, like, all of the things that usually get pulled out from your standard extraction. So it's a little bit longer, but so cool. And I think the only true whole plant extraction method, I'd never even heard of this preacher it before we found
this. Benny never end, you know, we had talked to them, they said, you know, let's let's let you try it out and see if something you would like and we've been looking for somebody that we could really get behind and Foxy flower, you know, we partnered with them and for cannabis School listeners, we actually have a promo code that you can use over there. It'll take care of free shipping and awesome. Yeah, super cool. We tried some of of their other products.
Yeah, the chillax cvd teacher is fantastic. Same Spirit, generic method into it. Oh yeah, I mean, I was using chillax when I just recently when I got influenza and it seriously saved me from being xiety of just not being able to do not, chillax was able to keep my mind calm, which usually is by far the best thing to do when especially when you have blood sugar problems. So chillax Someone for all of those who are listeners, cannabis school, not foxy, flower.com yes.
The foxy flower.com go to that, will put it in the show notes, if we screwed up on what side it is, but and then at checkout, go ahead and put in school as the promo code and get some free shipping on us. Try out their products really love the trouble stick. If you are someone who is prone to like deep aches and pains, I'd recommend End it? Yeah, it's super awesome. We use it daily because I'm an old man in Brandon has a hurt back.
I'm just an old man at heart. He's just an old man at heart. He literally is because any time we'll play video games, he's like, I had to go to bed. It's like 11:30, so funny. Let's go right back into that for those who are working at home, or it's a sad Day or Sunday or whatever day that you feel it's it's 4:20 for you right? I would think this would be a great wake-and-bake strain.
Yeah, I think so too. This review that I found on this actually says I have a creative job with chronic pain. I was happily able to run my company, move my neck and shoulder. And last through meetings, I didn't experience dry mouth at all compared to other high-end strains. Compact buds, very slow burning, had relied a couple times, but I like that because I'm a slow smoker overall. The best strain have tried fruity but still grounded and earthy.
Perfect mix of energetic functionality and can abased relief noticed I was less anxious and overwhelmed without couch. Lock, this is my go-to Daytime Nighttime favorite strain, I concur like it is a great daytime strain. And with someone with pain I can Rock this one throughout the day. It's a it is a great holiday around strain.
Yeah, I'd agree it and I love the way that they describe that to, because especially if you're a slower, I'm a slower toker typically but I think it's because my sensitivity is a little bit on the lower side of middle, right? Where I can still take I don't have to take as much. But even at that same speed. I mean, there are certain strains of become extremely strong way too quick. Like, you know, your Bubba Kush bright bubbly?
Could it's super fast like, there's no, like there is a delay with, with a lot of cannabis when you smoke it, you'll feel the Entourage effect at first and it's really good, but then if it's really hitting on that stone that indica or sativa side usually about 10, 15 minutes for me when it Fully kicks in and then I get a feel, like either super euphoric, or it's a little too sleepy, but with this type of strain, it be
really good for a beginner. I would say, would be a really good one or somebody who just got extremely low tolerance or even if you don't have a low tolerance, I still recommend at this is a delicious train, it's so good. I actually think this one would pair really well with, I just had these dark chocolate. Covered bear. Ares from Costco. I never buy Brookside, I don't know really good and that with some of this blue widow is just perfect pairing for me. Yeah.
No. I think of these homemade chocolate chip cookies that I make and they're just the right amount of sea salt in it and it's got the sweet and the and the salty with. It's just so good but I think about that because I mean I make that for my family every Once in a while when I see once the walls product once a week got love. Good homemade cookies. Yeah. And they're just delicious.
And I think about that because I remember the last time I did it was later on in the evening when outside had puff came back in and they were right there and it was just something about it. Like you were able to taste the most intense parts of the
flavors that you're ingesting. And that's what this train did for me. It made me a little bit more hypersensitive on the Cork side or whatever I'm eating is not necessarily super intense but I can just tell what it is like almost each ingredient if that makes sense. Yeah, that's awesome. Pick out more of the flavors specifically from it. This is a really good one for that. Very good, social strain or a very good. Just independent. I want to chill. Don't really want to hurry.
It's and I would say it even kill one. Let's just like a regular hybrid true hybrids. Are they feel that way you just feel more comfortable? Yeah, I agree. Also trying something new one person in cannabis the and uses cannabis. That you might not know, is Matthew McConaughey? He was actually arrested on the suspicion of like possession and drug paraphernalia back in 1999 for cannabis.
And then, if you read his book green lights at all, he talks about cannabis, use a ton through that entire book, really good book, just kind of spoke Coke to just I think who he is a person, just kind of really made him more human in my eyes. She was kind of cool but person, cannabis, maybe you didn't know my Laughing. That's very good. I can't do it right now. Yeah, me there but just one wish you guys like a happy. 420. Check out our patreon merch. If you want to rock. So canvas school.
