4.13 - Origins: Val - Uh-oh

Val Miller awoke to her new unlife, having been saved from death, but also turned into a monster by one of the few people she trusted, Rufus Cross. They set fire to the arena and the bodies of their friends, and Cross quickly explained current kindred politics. Val grappled with the crumbling foundations of her life and rejected Cross’s offer to stay, deciding instead to take the next five years to find out for herself what it really means to be a vampire. Within hours, she was fighting for her life once again.
