Episode description

In this solo jam we are going to be talking about the addiction to personal development.  Some of you out there want to consume all the things: the podcasts, the books, the mentors and coaching.  This was me! I was so addicted to the pursuit of personal development that I was actually missing the point.  In this episode I’m going to go into how we identify that and how we start to untangle it so that we can do the work that matters.

Inside this episode, I share:

  • The power of intention and being committed to it
  • How constant consumption leads to scattered focus
  • That consumption without integration creates frustration
  • Getting to know yourself is a more productive path than consumption
  • Important work can be accomplished by being, not doing
  • The role of breathwork in embracing the concept of presence
  • We can improve our lives by making every decision from our most authentic selves
  • How to set yourself up for daily “wins”, which will increase happiness
  • The benefits of recognizing progress in your journey
