Exodus Theme: The holy God wants us to know him and experience his presence, but we must first exit unholy bondage and enter holy servitude.
Overview: This simple outline helps inform our theme for studying the book: Knowing God. This, after all, was God's aim. He did not want to set Israel free just so they could be free, but so they might serve him. Through Moses to Pharaoh, God often said, "Let me people go, that they may serve me" (Ex. 5:1, 7:16, 8:1, 9:1, etc.).
