What's unique about Revelation Chapter 12 & 13 is that they don’t advance the narrative chronologically, but recap and amplify what has already taken place and give us some extra details that we didn’t get from the preceding Chapters. Chronologically, we have already entered into the second half of the 70th week of Daniel (Chapter 9), but Chapter 12 takes us back—first of all to Jesus’ birth—and then fast forwards us to the midpoint of the Tribulation Period.
