Episode description

When life falls apart, where do you turn? In 2 Samuel 15–18, David finds himself in the middle of a storm—betrayed by his own son, forced to flee, and surrounded by uncertainty. It’s a story of grief, loss, and the painful consequences of past sins. Yet even in the middle of the chaos, we see grace.

David doesn’t cling to power—he clings to God. His heart is heavy, but his hope is alive. In the storm, we see glimpses of a King who trusts God’s will, even when it costs him everything.

This part of David’s story helps us see our own need for a Saviour who is steady in the storm. One who doesn’t run from suffering but walks through it to bring redemption. That King is Jesus.
