In our last episode in this series on the Hughson Bank Robbery and the murder of Sheriff Billy Joe Dickens we talk about the trial of Leonard Ellsworth Miller who is recovering in hospital following one of the largest manhunts in Stanislaus County history. Issue of Miller’s sanity trail as well as the state seeking the death penalty will be discussed, as well as the aftermath that this this crime had on the Hughson community.
