In a speech to the UN General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Iranian proxies for attacking his country. Iran doesn’t recognise Israel’s right to exist, and wants to eradicate it as a Jewish state. The Tehran government has provided arms, training and funding to both Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
