Episode description

This week we talk about the fast growing teams, competitions, prize pools, and communities involved in eSports. From college scholarships, spots on the Big 10 Network, and holding tournaments in Madison Square Garden, eSports has become a franchise that is gaining ground on the physical leagues like the NBA or NFL. We talk about why these things matter and how they've grown. We also deal with some of the same issues that are involved in physical competition, like mental health, PEDs, and the trouble with contracts. We're joined by special guest Terrence Miller, professional Hearthstone player for Gale Force eSports. He brings his experience in the Hearthstone circuit to answer some our questions and give his take on why the global phenomena of eSports matters.
