Burger Bites Ep. 44 - Courtney Spitz part 1
Episode description
Courtney Spitz is the head coach of the Springfield Catholic Fightin' Irish in Springfield, Missouri, where the high school baseball scene and the game have changed greatly since his playing days at Kickapoo High. Spitz opens up on coaching high school players with big time aspirations at the NCAA Division I and II levels, and shares how his own career as a catcher shaped his thoughts on recruiting and talent scouting.
And we have some some fun reminiscing about the time Chris Meza and Josh Engler cost Spitz a dozen chicken wings and a pitcher of suds in a Grip 'N Rip Baseball League game.
"Burger Bites" is written, produced and edited by Rance Burger.
