In this episode of the Built To Birth Podcast, Madison shares her quick change from a hospital birth to a home birth after realizing the changing protocols at her hospital due to COVID 19. Her journey toward motherhood includes pregnancy loss, staying positive and navigating through the season of infant loss, then facing pregnancy and COVID 19 at the same time, and then figuring out what giving birth during COVID 19 would look like for her and her husband. At first very hesitant to the idea of giving birth at home, especially giving birth at home first baby and all, Madison shares with us how she and her partner got on board together to agree on a home birth during COVID 19.

Finding a midwife who would attend their home birth, changed their perspective on choosing a home birth. After learning to depth of knowledge and experience midwifery care entails, Madison was sold and she shares about the importance of every woman finding a care provider that they can trust.
