Brandon was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. Being from Detroit there were things that he learned early on. He learned to not really show emotion and to not talk about too much. As Brandon grew older, he found his way to the church and began to learn important lessons that would later help him in writing his book. He learned to process and work through emotions and the importance of accepting oneself, compassion and the power of helping others.
