Episode description

Practice Planning. Many coaches plan practice, they at least plan what technique will be the key point and the general format. Along with our Building a Fighter mission, we believe that this practice planning should be done better. Warm-ups, general activity, specific skill development, positional goes, training, drilling, physical conditioning we can and should include it all in our practice. We should also plan based around what individuals are in our class, how the athletes are feeling, and what time of year is it? This manipulation of practice takes experience skill, and most of all effort on the coach’s behalf. Practices can be planned out and more formatted, but the coaching is not strictly choreographed, it should be fluid and adaptable. Start with a good plan and adapt from there. We talk a lot about giving a man a fish, vs. teaching a man to fish in this episode.  @buildingafighter on Instagram Alex: IG @strong_a.f email: afriedman.strong@gmail.com Austin: IG  @warriorsportswellness email: austin@warriorsportswellness.com
