Episode description

In this episode, I chatted with Ish Baid, Co-Founder and CEO of Virtually. Virtually is a startup building the easiest way to manage Zoom events for online communities. They were part of the Y Combinator Summer 2020 batch and have recently raised $1.75m in funding from top funds like Tiger Global recently. In this episode, we talk about evolution of online education from MOOCs to Cohort-based-courses (CBCs), the inevitable crests and troughs within new technology trends, the origin story of Virtually and how Ish quit his job at Facebook to work on this idea, why this mission is so personal to him based on his family background and much more. I'm a huge fan of Ish and his story. I had a blast in this episode and hope you like it too! (Full disclosure: I'm an advisor in this startup!)
