Episode description

Hannah Withiam is the associate editor of The Athletic and is in charge of all WNBA editorial coverage. At the age of 25, Hannah oversees a staff of 14 writers, including beat reporters for all 12 teams. At the 5:04 mark, Hannah discusses the surreal feeling of having such editorial responsibility at such a young age. At 10:11 Monica and Hannah discuss how the extended WNBA coverage has been received. At 11:30 they have fun discussing the famous WNBA survey where Candace Parker was called "overrated." At 14:00, they discuss the two WNBA Semifinal series and where they are headed. At 16:00 Hannah and Monica examined the effect of Dearica Hamby's miracle shot against Chicago last weekend and what a moment like that has meant to the league. Other issues on the agenda are the effect of charter flights for the WNBA players, the leadership of Players Association president Nneka Ogwumike of the LA Sparks, the greatness of Elena Delle Donne, and Hannah's predictions for the playoffs.
