[SPEAKER_07]: Welcome back to Bucco Banner. [SPEAKER_07]: We're here live at Allegheny coffee. [SPEAKER_07]: We haven't been here in what like a month. [SPEAKER_07]: It's been about a month between the rain and someone being away. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, so we're back at home. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, what episode is this? [SPEAKER_04]: two o four to a five. [SPEAKER_02]: It's two o. Yeah somewhere around there in that ball. [SPEAKER_04]: We're in that ballpark. [SPEAKER_02]: Good stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're back at Allegheny Coffee and Tea. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to recap the game yesterday against the cubs. [SPEAKER_02]: Did you see the fly over? [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, did you see the side view of the pires dug out? [SPEAKER_04]: They all like class of the ground. [SPEAKER_04]: It's pretty funny. [SPEAKER_02]: So good. [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to recap that. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk some recent transactions.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: And take some fan questions. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about the game. [SPEAKER_02]: Real quick, three to two Pirates Victory, Jack Swinsky goes deep in his hometown. [SPEAKER_02]: Hurry back on the Jack Swinsky train. [SPEAKER_02]: Scott will tell me all the day yesterday's like, if there's one player I believe in, it's Jack Swinsky. [SPEAKER_02]: Take in the words right out of my mouth. [SPEAKER_04]: No, we're not.
[SPEAKER_04]: But you know, it's he's showing some a little bit of power here recently. [SPEAKER_04]: Because he didn't have any home runs what in the first two months that he was up with the team until he got option to triple A. So, you know, that's his that's his usefulness on this roster is the power and and he's showing some of it. [SPEAKER_04]: But he's still batting one twenty five. [SPEAKER_04]: It's like a five hundred OPS or something like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: The bottom of the order right now is just absolutely terrible. [SPEAKER_02]: Hello, Jared from Ireland. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we do have a new, uh, camera person. [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Why don't you introduce yourself to the pod? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm Kristen. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm Scott's girlfriend. [SPEAKER_00]: Deepos MIA. [SPEAKER_04]: Deepos MIA. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: We got a, you play Steve today.
[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see how Kristen does. [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe she'll be a camera or camera woman again. [SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's not what it is. [SPEAKER_04]: Super hot. [SPEAKER_04]: It is. [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm drinking a hot coffee. [SPEAKER_02]: Why? [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm sweating. [SPEAKER_04]: No, and I'm kind of regretting it. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't like ice coffee. [SPEAKER_02]: We both got Kristen guy. [SPEAKER_02]: What are you drinking?
[SPEAKER_00]: I have a nice latte with O milk and vanilla. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: What about you? [SPEAKER_04]: Just a dark medium roast, you know. [SPEAKER_04]: Black coffee. [SPEAKER_02]: Nice. [SPEAKER_02]: And I got the nitrous espresso. [SPEAKER_02]: I needed a coffee today. [SPEAKER_02]: We do have a shout out before we get started. [SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to John Geiger. [SPEAKER_02]: which you can't see that on camera.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Shua. [SPEAKER_02]: John Geiger sent all of us multiple pairs of shoes to rock on the field. [SPEAKER_02]: So we're both what we're in our Geiger's right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Go to a John Geiger calm the release of shoes all the time. [SPEAKER_02]: Shua the year. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know if you could see. [SPEAKER_02]: Look at these wild things here. [SPEAKER_02]: Boom crazy now I got to put my shoe back on people are taking pictures of my feet out here.
[SPEAKER_02]: What's talk about Pirates Cups there's Chicago for a three game set before they come back and play the jays one thing I wanted to discuss [SPEAKER_02]: about that game was Braxton Ashcraft. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: He was our first star, the free stars were him, Suinsky, and Mattson, and we can get into the bullpen because the bullpen this month has been bad. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Ever since the trade deadline, it's been a trotaceous.
[SPEAKER_02]: Isaac Mattson's kind of been that one. [SPEAKER_02]: stable part. [SPEAKER_02]: But let's talk Bracks and Ashcraft because before we had no hiles in the show, we had Alex Stump on the show. [SPEAKER_02]: We were talking about the potential of stretching Bracks and Ashcraft out to be a starter. [SPEAKER_02]: And they didn't really have like a sense of what the pirates are trying to do there.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is the first time we've seen him go what more than three innings and a game went five innings. [SPEAKER_02]: I think three hits. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no walks one long. [SPEAKER_02]: somewhere around there. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think one walk with five six k's. [SPEAKER_04]: So. [SPEAKER_04]: Um, he, I think he, uh, gunner nine whiffs.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to pull up the internet, it's not working, but I'm trying to pull up for how many innings he's thrown this year, because I know he doesn't have a ton of mileage on his arm. [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm sure that's what we talked about him being in a, in a long relief role, or coming up in the bullpen, he could add value to this team now.
[SPEAKER_04]: But if you're going to stretch him out a little bit, depending on his innings on it, limit, I could see him in this rotation for rest of the year, even if you piggyback him with a Carmen Mujinsky. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, at that point, five innings, I mean, it's just, [SPEAKER_02]: We're just short of a quality start there. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't even think of that point.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Like you can start using the word piggyback a little bit more lightly when it comes to Bracks and Ashcraft and you know, the younger arms. [SPEAKER_02]: This team is never been the problem. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Like they're they're going to have guys going into next year that are going to be able to fill that rotation whether or not Mitch Keller. [SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to have solid options. [SPEAKER_02]: But really encouraging.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I agree. [SPEAKER_04]: I agree. [SPEAKER_04]: I think some guys are going to get opportunities naturally, organically, unfortunately, you know, and then there's going to be some other moves probably, who knows. [SPEAKER_04]: Do they do they designate entertaining eventually? [SPEAKER_02]: I think you have to, I mean, they just, like, what other choice do you have?
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't see, I see more value in giving innings to Bubba Chandler and Hunter Borgo, who I both, who both I think have earned majorly beginnings at this point. [SPEAKER_04]: And I think it's best for their development, rather than minor league affiliate record to, uh, [SPEAKER_04]: We have them up in the big leagues. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we can discuss that shortly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out calling Beasley head had a good article went out to Indianapolis talk to new pirate rapial for us. [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think you don't really have a choice. [SPEAKER_02]: They're just DFA. [SPEAKER_02]: Ryan Brookie who was on a one year deal as well. [SPEAKER_02]: I believe it was a minor league deal that they they signed into originally at the beginning of the year.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like what what does that say for the other guys that are on expiring contracts that they getting kit rid of is that that's only option if you're going to get other guys in yeah at this point the the Nicky orcs of the world is he ever going to get any time this year.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean despite like shaky play at the triple A level you talk about young guys needing an opportunity you're running at a time [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I think last year they did this with Billy, I think Billy Cook is on the injured list right now, but they did this with Billy Cook and Nick York in September when Rossers expanded these guys were up on the Major League roster and they probably got at bats.
[SPEAKER_04]: What, every other game, a couple games, like it's not a ton of run way for them. [SPEAKER_04]: So are we going to do that again with those guys? [SPEAKER_04]: Just just doesn't make a ton of sense. [SPEAKER_04]: I think getting regular MLB at bats at rather C. [SPEAKER_04]: I'd rather see Nick you're struggling in the bottom of this line up than Jack's once get this point. [SPEAKER_04]: I think it's it's better for the team to in the org to get those guys those time type of bets.
[SPEAKER_02]: We got a question on YouTube from a friend of the show. [SPEAKER_02]: Patty Giron. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, who is there strongest relief pitcher right now? [SPEAKER_02]: Scott, I'll let you take that. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to be a Helmer pick. [SPEAKER_04]: This is going to be a Helmer pick, but I think it actually might be the right answer to it's Isaac Matt. [SPEAKER_04]: has to be the pit guy H two p also district ten from the area.
[SPEAKER_04]: He I think he's been the most enjoyable not just pitcher but player to watch as this team has struggled this year because he just brings so much firepower power and he's not like he has the best stuff but he'll just run his fastball up in the top of his own and be like trying hit it. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was an super competitive. [SPEAKER_04]: I just I love the aggressiveness and I think he has a role in this team going forward.
[SPEAKER_04]: Even though he's like what, they're twenty nine thirty years old. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you have to keep him in the bullpen. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, HJP. [SPEAKER_02]: You have to keep him in the bullpen. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And I think they're staying on the broadcast yesterday. [SPEAKER_02]: The Cubs against Fastball are like in like two thirty. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's pretty bad. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't really like their chances in the postseason.
[SPEAKER_02]: So man, that's that's crazy. [SPEAKER_02]: So like good matchup. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, here's my guy that's just going to shove like he's going to throw ninety five. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: top of his own, try and hit it and they can't. [SPEAKER_04]: Let me ask you this. [SPEAKER_04]: We're kind of tying back our previous conversation. [SPEAKER_04]: Obietta came up and made a start.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: It didn't go as he probably wanted, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: He was option down and we thought maybe it was more of like the bullpen's tax he'll be right back up or, you know, he's going to be in a hotel somewhere. [SPEAKER_04]: So he can start again, but [SPEAKER_04]: Actually, if Ashcraft moves to a short roll in the back end of this rotation, pitching five innings could Ophiano replace him in the bullpen. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, to get innings.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think that's that's accurate. [SPEAKER_02]: We've talked about him being a high lever drum. [SPEAKER_02]: before and control has been an issue throughout his career, if he can just kind of harness that in one inning to an instance, even if it's like a six inning seventh inning guy, and then you have what Maginski [SPEAKER_02]: at the back end that now the pope gets a little bit shake here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, depending on what they decide to do, but I think that's definitely a viable option. [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, despite their long-term plans for Obieto, I think. [SPEAKER_02]: He's hitting ninety six on his own when he came back. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, nothing looked wrong with the fast poll. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, I'm looking good, but [SPEAKER_04]: You know, despite your long-term plans for him, it's, uh, I think just getting him innings.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'd rather see him pitching, uh, metal relief fittings than Yohan Ramirez to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's, I just think it makes way more sense. [SPEAKER_04]: And I don't even care about results at this point. [SPEAKER_04]: I just want to see these guys get big with getting to this rate. [SPEAKER_04]: They're thirteen and a half games out of a playoff spot, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Something like that?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what do you think about Yohan Ramirez being on the roster and then Barackie getting the boot? [SPEAKER_04]: And just doesn't I mean, I don't think they're that much dissimilar, right? [SPEAKER_04]: But like I broke it wasn't having his best year.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, and I think Barack he was a product of like a few bad outings here and now that inflated his ERA, obviously those bad how things were really bad, but, um, again, if you're going to get rid of him the white like also it's the same situation with Ramirez, like there's other guys. [SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know, I also don't care about Kyle Nicholas's results right now. [SPEAKER_04]: You might as well see what you got with Kyle Nicholas, too.
[SPEAKER_04]: I know he's gotten a lot of runaway, but if you're going to do the same thing with Jack Swinski, let's do the same thing with Kyle Nicholas. [SPEAKER_02]: So I got distracted. [SPEAKER_02]: There's two puppies. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Right right here. [SPEAKER_04]: a woman, but I'll recap what I said. [SPEAKER_02]: She was just trying to sell us puppies.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, she was, uh, that was kind of if anyone's looking for two French bulldogs, a woman just came up and tried to sell us two dogs. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I almost took all of them, Scott. [SPEAKER_02]: They're they're very cute. [SPEAKER_00]: I got my sevens locked out there. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't hear word you said towards the end. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I was talking about Cow Nicholas and and Jack's Jackson Winsky.
[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm like, I know that Cow Nicholas has gotten a lot of runway in the big league club. [SPEAKER_04]: maybe not consistently, but similar to Jackson Winsky, right? [SPEAKER_04]: Like you're giving him all this opportunity. [SPEAKER_04]: So like, you might as well just run Nicholas out there and see what you got with him.
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a guy that was an actual prospect and and someone that you acquired not off of waiver, but someone that could be a part of this bullpen going forward. [SPEAKER_04]: So might as well just run him out there for rest of season. [SPEAKER_04]: If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. [SPEAKER_04]: Same with what you're doing with Jackson Winsky. [SPEAKER_02]: A hundred percent. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you got to see what you got.
[SPEAKER_02]: Buckham Mike, we are not going to be adopting a bulldog. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, what if it comes with a great tinted hot dog buck on my Q the music. [SPEAKER_02]: Listen, I agree. [SPEAKER_02]: I think no matter how shaky guys like that have been, you have to give them a shot. [SPEAKER_02]: Now like Holderman. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know how you really justified. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I guess you just want to get him back. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's the group of things.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the recent move, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's let's talk about that. [SPEAKER_04]: Holderman. [SPEAKER_04]: He's got like a seven year array. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: I think he's pitched better as of his last few adding triple A, but like that's what still pitching with like a six year array down in triple A, given up home runs, you know, very vulnerable to the long ball.
[SPEAKER_04]: Again, like, I guess just run them out there for rest of season and see if he can fix things as bedin' hard day. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if that's a good comparison, but he was once a valuable high-level child ever to labor. [SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, I mean, bedin' hard went down the AAA and was fine. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was, I mean, I don't know with Holderman, it's like, you've had like, whether the wrist injury or thumb injury and it's like, or you can make an argument that was more of like a phantom, I also didn't more mental, but I, uh, [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Buckham Mike, Jesus Christ did. [SPEAKER_02]: Affirm is blinding folks with his albino colored legs. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Buckham Mike. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a question?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's think of fan question. [SPEAKER_00]: We do have a question from a gentleman here. [SPEAKER_00]: He, I've heard he's really great with tents. [SPEAKER_00]: Probably the world's best if not the universe's best. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go. [SPEAKER_00]: Would you like to introduce yourselves there? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, my name is Tom and I have a question I would like to give a shout of the person though. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you a better producer than Debo?
[SPEAKER_01]: I came down to ask him some questions, some family questions, but he's nowhere to be found. [SPEAKER_01]: So my question is, six weeks left in the season, what are you looking forward to the most and you're going to be paying attention to? [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, a good question. [SPEAKER_04]: I think just seeing young guys get opportunities, even though it doesn't look like there's going to be as of right now. [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: The roster spots and the opportunities for those guys, but yeah, it's bleak as it sounds. [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see Candidating. [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see Nick York. [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see Parko. [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see Baba Chandler. [SPEAKER_04]: I would look forward to going to the ballpark and seeing those guys get reps. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And beyond that, I'm looking forward to seeing some late promotions when it comes to the minor league guys here that that season's coming to an end. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to see where guys end up. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to see Connor Griffin end up in AA. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to see. [SPEAKER_02]: I came to our Johnson just got hurt and I know he's been shaky, but like. [SPEAKER_02]: I think I think you should have to keep moving him.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I mean, throughout the year, he's very hit or miss. [SPEAKER_02]: He's very streaky, but like he has had stints where he's been very good. [SPEAKER_02]: And I think at some point you just got to like let him let him get to the AAA level and work things out and just keep guys moving. [SPEAKER_02]: We talk about having upper level bats ready. [SPEAKER_02]: I think next year you need to if you're going to compete in twenty twenty six.
[SPEAKER_02]: You need to have guys [SPEAKER_02]: that are going to be close. [SPEAKER_02]: And right now, we just don't have guys that are going to be close. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if tomorrow is done for the year, but I didn't see any recent reports on that, but like he's up to two, sixty four, I think as if yesterday's game and I know he's it's been a little bit streaky, but there's nothing. [SPEAKER_04]: He's not short of confidence. [SPEAKER_04]: I'll tell you that much.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I think he would definitely compete at the triple A level. [SPEAKER_04]: And you might as well test him. [SPEAKER_04]: Be aggressive with him. [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that opportunity should present itself soon as if you bring up a guy like a cam divini or Nick York. [SPEAKER_04]: And then bring Connor Griffin up the double A. I want to see him finish this year in Altona with Rivas and Valdez. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you think, I mean, like do you think I gave?
[SPEAKER_02]: Like people talk about resigning ICF all the time. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I'll ever resign and Pittsburgh like guys like that or like Tommy fam Andrew he knew we just talked about getting DFA eventually do you think they get [SPEAKER_02]: A late year DFA to make room for a cam division. [SPEAKER_04]: So we're like sending Jared Treolo down. [SPEAKER_04]: Because I think this is the only way that you can make an actual trade now is by does a DFA.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_04]: Guys claimed off waivers and you have to make a deal. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: Could you get a lottery pick on some of these guys? [SPEAKER_04]: Like you should have done on July, thirty first. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if I think the opportunity would present itself with Tommy Fam, I think it may present itself with Andrew Heaney, ICF for sure. [SPEAKER_04]: But it's pretty sad that that's what it came to.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, looks this is a good transition point, but he's badly for a player. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, there was the comments from Rafael Flores. [SPEAKER_02]: Not one of this is like taking out of context. [SPEAKER_02]: I think it was portrayed as if the Pirates value it more than the other. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's that's the case. [SPEAKER_02]: But Rafael Flores said compared to his time with the Yankees, uh, the Pirates definitely value team success.
[SPEAKER_02]: more than the Yankees valued individual player development. [SPEAKER_02]: Am I saying that right? [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I don't think he was saying the pirates don't value player development as well. [SPEAKER_02]: They just value team success more. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, first glance you're like who cares about minor league success when it comes to winning or losing at all. [SPEAKER_02]: I always treat minor league seasons like spring training.
[SPEAKER_02]: How is this guy, you know, developing how is his season gone? [SPEAKER_02]: How is he working through some of the issues that he struggled with? [SPEAKER_02]: But I could care less about team winning. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just I think that the part that got me the most was the Yankees give. [SPEAKER_02]: He said the Yankees give you all the information you need in the pirates only give you what you want. [SPEAKER_02]: And I think at some point you need to say like, hey, I don't care.
[SPEAKER_02]: what you want or what you're going to like, hey, we're going to give you all this information because maybe that's not important to you right now, but all that information could come in. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to put you in the best position. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: In the future, maybe it's not for this one specific guy, but like,
[SPEAKER_04]: different different guys in the staff maybe all that information at once helps you kind of build your game a little bit more that that part concerned me a little bit yeah for sure and they're competitive at every affiliate pretty much yeah Greensboro is forty three games above five hundred at this point and one of the greatest teams ever assembled but you know i think what would really grind my greatest use ever assembled what's that you said one of the greatest teams ever assembled
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, venture engine, if nothing else can assemble a high A team, but yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think it's, what would really grab my gears is seeing, you know, Connor Griffin staying down in high A just because they want to, you know, compete for a South Atlantic league title. [SPEAKER_04]: Like that, that like to me, I could care less. [SPEAKER_04]: And I know, I think Indie right now, they're in Scranton.
[SPEAKER_04]: And the Scranton works for real, what writers, the Yankees, AAA affiliate, [SPEAKER_04]: They're both like twenty games over five hundred. [SPEAKER_04]: So it's a big serious, if you will. [SPEAKER_04]: But you know, I don't care about international championship. [SPEAKER_04]: I don't care about a double A championship. [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see these guys succeed and being a small market team, like you said, they're giving the guys what they want rather than what they need.
[SPEAKER_04]: You need to put your guys in position to succeed and you need to make up [SPEAKER_04]: For the small, smart room of air that you have as a small marketing, you have to be giving all the information that you possibly can to these players and put them in the best position. [SPEAKER_02]: Sally League championships. [SPEAKER_02]: over Pirates. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't know, but that buck on my guess one thing worth disagree on.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'd rather see Connor Griffin and I'll tune up because we could drive two hours there and see him. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're definitely going to make another trip out that I'll tune in before in the year. [SPEAKER_04]: I think we got like a couple weeks to do that. [SPEAKER_04]: But I think that'll to see those guys with the would be great out there. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man. [SPEAKER_02]: I agree. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't. [SPEAKER_04]: You also have some of the recent draft picks.
[SPEAKER_04]: Like Jared Jones and Easton Carmichael are in Greensboro. [SPEAKER_04]: Let them, those guys get more run before in the end of the season, not the third. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not getting guys at that. [SPEAKER_02]: That's it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Cowan Moss is just babe Ruth. [SPEAKER_04]: Right. [SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, the Greensboro's not short of talent anywhere. [SPEAKER_04]: Like you could give Lonnie, Lonnie White's like, he's a guy.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think this is decision time for him, obviously. [SPEAKER_04]: That's right. [SPEAKER_04]: I thought he'd be released. [SPEAKER_04]: I think he is going to be released. [SPEAKER_04]: He might not be protected. [SPEAKER_04]: I think this is his final year. [SPEAKER_04]: So he might be susceptible to the minor role five drafts in December, but someone will probably take a chance on him.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just because the talent alone in the physical traits are there, but at what point like you gave up on a brilliant bishop, I know that's a lower level. [SPEAKER_02]: You've got them away. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you gave up on Abraham Gutierrez, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Now, at what point do you look at him in every year we go into the minor league season or the priorities and say like, hey, this is a big year for a long way junior. [SPEAKER_02]: We've said it like two years in a row.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, for this year, especially was like his first staying healthy, staying healthy. [SPEAKER_04]: Like I think he played seventy games in three years, I'm like that. [SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, you know, I think his time has been blocked a lot this year too. [SPEAKER_04]: By guys coming up through Greensboro, you got Will Taylor being promoted, Connor Griffin, who's mostly playing short, subtle plays in Alfield.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm you got a lot of guys out in that outfield that are in this tightest the meat true that they acquired from for Joey went was it Joey went sir they acquired him in a trade with the brave so it was yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Jason Gillette right.
[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, I mean there's been a lot of guys that have blocked him from getting playing time that have earned it over him quite frankly, but right at this point you just want to see him get consistent at bats.
[SPEAKER_04]: Lonnie White equals bus like I mean like I don't even know like probably like yeah Yeah, but one thing true one thing true the pirates did something heroic with Lonnie White he was committed to play football at Penn State and they saved him from going to that hell hole so Penn State is a bad school I think you're just jealous because you didn't get that on purpose. [SPEAKER_02]: Is there a way to meet her Mike? [UNKNOWN]: Yeah [SPEAKER_02]: I like it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Before we keep moving forward, we have an ad read or Tom's tense. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: You want to be covered. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: And Pittsburgh or just Western PA. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_02]: You call Tom Sense. [SPEAKER_02]: Of course. [SPEAKER_02]: They have you covered Tom Sense PGH.com. [SPEAKER_02]: You must funny. [SPEAKER_04]: I texted him this morning.

[SPEAKER_06]: I have a question here from Kelly from Ohio. [SPEAKER_02]: Hi, Kelly.
[SPEAKER_06]: Hi, so my son works for the Savannah Vinanas. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, nice. [SPEAKER_04]: Can you get us tickets? [SPEAKER_06]: No, they're actually coming. [SPEAKER_06]: You can logists. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_06]: So what is your take on traditional baseball versus the Nana ball? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's a part of both ways. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like we're both [SPEAKER_02]: big baseball traditionalists, but I think there's a space for both of them, and I enjoy watching both. [SPEAKER_02]: I think you can't watch baseball and say, like, this is the way it should be placed is something totally different, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: I think they bring more fans, like maybe control fans to the ballpark. [SPEAKER_04]: I think it's fun.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not like anti-Banan as I know there's some baseball traditionalists that are like, you know, this is ruining the game. [SPEAKER_04]: It's not ruining the game. [SPEAKER_04]: I think it's fun. [SPEAKER_04]: I think it's entertaining and there's definitely a space for it. [SPEAKER_04]: I love it. [SPEAKER_02]: I think there needs to be more content creators and people like the younger generation getting more into baseball. [SPEAKER_02]: I think it died down a little bit and
[SPEAKER_04]: bringing it more and so like the social media side and entertainment like that helps push people to watch other baseball too other than banana ball set I think it's good we shouldn't be shortening the tent for you know baseball fans like right make it as wide as possible right especially given the state the baseball center right now there's a lot of attention they might go into a lock not might they probably will go in a lock out in twenty twenty seven I think it's entertaining and especially for younger fans too yeah
[SPEAKER_06]: free studios to your co-track. [SPEAKER_06]: Okay nice now and he's actually an Arkansas right now party animals. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh hell yeah.
