Second Date Update: Not-So-Spontaneous

Rob? Yeah? I almost hung up because I was like, that's not what I did. I'm just messing around, man. But you said you did end up meeting somebody when you went to Starbucks recently. What's their name? Her name was Tiffany tiffanys that We just said, Yeah, Tiffany, And how did you strike up

a conversation? I'm assuming you saw her? She was cute, right, Yeah, I'm kind of like, while we were in line, it's the drive through, and she was like filing and attractively. So are you Is she in a different car in the drive through? Is she working the drives? Working there? Okay, she was the hitchhiker I picked up at the passenger seat. I see, so you ordered and then she gave you

your coffee when you pulled up to the window. Yeah, and we like totally hit it off and kept talking, and she was like, there's a huge line behind you. You gotta you gotta go. How do you do that? How do you strike up like a flirtatious conversation with your drive through? I don't know what it's your opinion on that, alexis because I feel like maybe he's confused

on whether or not the BFI liked people. Give me flirty for sure, and I'll engage if I want to or if I want more tips, but yeah, I'll talk back. I mean, do you go to the Starbucks all the time? Did you already know her? I mean I've been there a few times. I've never seen her before, and so I thought I got nothing here. So you know how you get like like a free refill on the glass at Starbus, Like, if you have a you can go back up for like a dollar or something, you can

get refilled. Right. I went back inside and got in line again with my with like my empty cup, and she was up there and she's like, oh you, And I was like, yeah, I kind of wanted to keep talking to you. You went back around and into the drive through again. No, I park can win in Oh my god. What was her reaction? Like she was kind of surprised, but then like totally receptive. She refilled the cup. I paid my dollar oh nine or whatever, and then she wrote her name and number on the side of

the cup. Wow, Okay, that's good because I was like, bruces are pretty good at faking it. Yeah yeah, and then uh she agreed to go out to get drinks. Hude, how is drink? Though? Like what were you feeling going into this? So obviously I'm calling you because I haven't heard from her, you know, so we're trying to piece

this apart. But I felt like the date went really well and were laughing, and I hope to think that I had like a good gauge on like all right, that didn't go well, Why well, I won't hear from her, that's fine, Okay, so what are you thinking? But I think I might have been like shrying a little too hard or putting it on a little thick. I don't really know. I'm trying to like, is there like a

specific example that you could use. So I went on this date like years ago and it ended up being a girl I dated, where like the night kind of went crazy, you know, we did all this like fun stuff, and so I was like I kind of wanted that to happen against Like it was like thinking of things we could do after the date that were like kind of random and spun fam so that you'd have like a memorable first date like kind of thing. We were so crazy we did? What? Yeah? What did you have

in mind? The first one? I was like, let's get in uber, go to the airport and get the cheapest flight we can and go to wherever that is and then come back the next day. WHOA, what did you do it? That sounds kind of awesome. I want to do it on a first day. It's pretty bold. I mean, I'll give you that. Well, Like I get if you're no offense, I get it. If you're going somewhere cool, let's go to Hawaii, or let's go you know, on

the beach somewhere. But if you're just going to the cheapest flighter, you're gonna go like right next door somewhere. Let's go to a horrible city. Yeah. I did practice this with saying like we might end up in the sixth but fair defense, she was like, I can't believe now I'm singing out like She's like, I don't know you. Yeah, yeah, a smart girl, high stranger shot it down. Were you able to get back on your feet after that? I

mean kind of. I had a few other ideas, but I could tell that she was not really having it outside of the I mean, she was like, I just want to get to know you and have some drinks. But then we I felt like I recovered, like I took the message and we had drinks and kept going. It's not like the night ended. Yeah yeah, how did the night end? We probably had like three more drinks

and we kind of had this flirty exchange. There wasn't a kiss or anything, and then I don't know, I didn't think I shot myself from the foot that bad with these things, but I'm like, the only thing I can think of that rubbed it the wrong way. Yeah, maybe you shouldn't have pushed them right like you do want she shoots too down. Just leave it. Yeah, got into a small plane and just flew home. But let's play a song. We'll come back. There's a good balance like kind of try but in a way like you don't really care, and if you do that,

too hard. Yeah, because the formula, right, Yeah, because after the day he was suggesting that maybe they should go to the airport, buy a ticket to the cheapest place that they could, and just make a day out of it, see what happens, And that was trying too hard maybe, Yeah, yeah I did for a minute, But I also felt like I made up for and I more just want to know what happened, Like, can I even go back to the coffee shop to get coughs? Like I feel

like everything's weird. That's trying too hard, that's going to come across desperate. I don't want to go back. You have to find the middle, which is calling a radio station to call for you. me about this? Yes, yeah, he really liked you. He thought you were awesome, and he just wants figure out if he did something wrong, unless that comes across weird to you, in which case we just did it out of our own accord because we're interesting in prying people. Doesn't care that much. Yeah, wow, he's very committed. He's just confused. Right, he told us about your date and it seemed like it was a pretty good time. And we spoke to Rob earlier and he sounded like a

really nice guy. So he's just wondering if he did something wrong to make you want to not call him back. I mean, so everyone can hear what I'm saying. Yeah, but it's okay. I mean, he knows that he listens to the show. He understands how this all works. Like, I mean, he's just confused. You're the one that gave him your number at Starbucks, right, Yeah. I mean he was super nice and cute and sweet, and he didn't seem like creepy like some of the guys come and

get coffee. I'm curious, what did he tell you about our date as far as the date goes. He said that you guys went out for drinks and you had a good time there chatting, and he didn't mention that. Maybe he came on a little bit strong when he was suggesting that you guys go to the airport and buy a plane ticket, But I think he was just trying to be fun in the moment to show you like he knows how to have a good time all right. so that's pretty much all we know. And then at the end of the night, you guys went your separate ways, no kiss or anything. Yes, that is correct, Okay, So honest, that's a good guy there you go. So what are we missing? Well, yeah, I mean at the end of the date I was probably going to go out with him again. We had a good time and it was like easy to talk to him and all of that. That's great, Okay, So you had every intention to call him back right until about twenty four hours later. Why

what happened? So the bar that we went to was awesome and I had actually never been there before, so I told one of my co workers about it, and we decided to go there the next night and just grab some drinks after work. Yeah, and we were sitting at the bar and just started chatting up with the bartender and he was like, didn't I see you here last night? Or am I crazy? And I was like, oh, You're not crazy. I was here actually just over in

the corner on a date. And you know, he kind of asked like how it went, and I told him about it that it was fun, you know, we had a good time. But then he like had these crazy ideas of like, let's take a plane somewhere. Let's just like go to the airport and take a plane somewhere and yeah, and I was like, well, you don't seem like Ted Bundy, so maybe it would be okay. But then I was like, I have to work the next day. It just feels like too much, too soon. So you're

telling this, you're recapping all this to the bartender. Yeah, exactly, okay, And I was like, isn't that insane? And the bartender was like, actually, that sounds really fun and like kind of romantic. So we kind of started flirting a little bit and it's going, um. Then my friend left and then we left for the airport and put a plane. Yeah, you stole Rob's idea with another guy, And then I would want to know how it win. Just tell me

was it fun or was it not fun? Because maybe you don't want to see him again and you still want to go out with Rob. Oh no, it was real fun. Why would you do that? Why would you ask? Especially with Rob listening on the other line this entire time? No, wait, he's listening. Yeah, Rob has been on the other line this whole time. Are you? So you like he got off his ship and then you guys ran off into the sunset, Well flew off technically, but yeah, it's like somebody who wrote a joke and then someone stole the joke. Yeah. Well, I mean it's not like you're the first person in the face of the planet who had an idea to take a plane like, I mean, not wrong. I gotta say that is a smooth move on the bartender's part to like steal that. Yeah, I'm not saying it's good, but he likes stole Rob's idea and just went with it.

Why did you say yes? This is what I want to know. Why did you say yes to the bartender but you didn't say yes to Rob because you're obviously willing to go out and do that. You keep asking these questions and Rob is not gonna like do you want to know? Rob? Well, I'm already down. I might as well get kicked while I'm laying here. So I'm glad that you checked with you first. Rob. Please please disregard that last statement. I mean, I get to mean that you had like a fun time with the bartender,

but you're not still like with him, are you? Uh? Maybe? Oh hey, hey, maybe it means that there's an opening for you Rock it does get sugar. Maybe the bartender's on a flight with a different girl now going to another I mean, I gotta say they don't have the best track record bartenders when it comes to No, he wouldn't do that to me.
