Second Date Update: Butter Me Up With Your Big Hands

But there is one couple who lived out the good old days and did their first date at an actual movie theater citizens today. Her name's Summer. Welcome to the show. Hey, thanks for having me. You didn't Netflix and chill. So what attracted you to Michael online? Well, we started talking back and forest then you know, he's just like a really sweet, really kind guy. But like one of the things that caught my eye, he's got these like huge hands. They're like really like

manly hands. I like big man hands too. I'm with you on that one. What does that mean to you summer when you saw his big manly hands. Oh well, I mean, like, you know, I'm outdoorsy and he looks like you carved some wood with those hands. Okay, yeah, metaphor now, I'd like him to carve some wood with those hands. I think it's a metaphor for Jeffrey sob. So you guys went out to the movies for your

first day, right, how did that go? Yeah? I want to really it went pretty well overall, Like you know, I talked to him about going movies and all this stuff that I was like, oh my god, I haven't been in like it was a couple of years now, and I know I was kidding before, but it's still really fun to go to the movies, Like it's a different experience. And just yeah, but it's kind of hard on a first date to get to know somebody movies.

Did you guys meet up beforehand? No, but we talked online for a while, like a lot, like when we got there. We pretty much got there when the movie was about to start. And you can always text in the middle of the movies if you really want to talk. Just because you're I love to speak, doesn't mean you can't commute. That's terrible. Yeah, but we um we met outside, and I was right. It wasn't photoshopped. It wasn't like fourth perspective. Those hands were like your Viggins. No, she

could tell when they were eating popcorn. He actually one handful. Yeah, just refill my palm. Naturally, we don't need a bag. Tell us what were the highlights from this movie day? Well, you mentioned my popcorn and stuff, Like when we got there, I didn't think that we would have time for concessions or whatever, especially because like the person behind the cashier

wasn't there and there was like a line. But like he did like something really badass, Like he said, like hold on a second, and he hopped behind the concession stand and grabbed us a large popcorn himself. And he showed it. WHOA Okay, I'm sur you didn't get kicked out. Does anyone else feel like that he has a criminal background? He's like when people are that money, he did leave money. Okay, that makes it better. Yeah, that doesn't make it better.

So that was a sexy moment for you. Yeah it was, Yeah, it was really it was. It was hot. What about the actual movie, I mean, the movie was fine. I think it was a thriller, which is always fun, especially with somebody right there that you already kind of have chemistry with. Right Yeah, speaking of chemistry, though, tell us what happened. One thing that was a little bit crazy is that he kind of disappeared for like I think it was like twenty minutes. I didn't time it, but

it felt like a large chunk of the movie. You know, he just went to the bathroom or whatever. And I actually kind of like got worried about him, Like, did he get sick? You know, we did his hand get caught in some did you when he came back twenty minutes later, did you ask him where he was? No? I mean, like I didn't think that. I got a little bit freaked out that he ditched me. So I texted him if he was okay and if he was coming back, that's what that would be thought in the

middle of the movie for Yeah. But he texted me back and he's like, yeah, I'll just be a second, I'll be right there. I'm fine, and I was like, okay, cool, And then he came back and we watched the US movie. I didn't want to bring anything up because, like, you know, he might have been sick. You don't want to talk to me about that. So we walked me into my car. It was going so well, but I was like, hey, do you want to go off for drinks. It's still

not that late at night. It was like nine, and he was like, no, no, I actually something early after you tomorrow morning. He hugged me and I was like a quick pet kiss. And I just always think you have to pair something with a movie on a date. Yeah, you know, you have to pair at least some food or some drinks, just some sort of one on one time where you can actually have a conversation or four more after. I think it's weird that he just went

home some sort of opportunity, some sort of activity. Rick could show off his hands. Yes, yeah, what he can do to you with they should have gone to one of those axe throwing places, you know. I mean it's weird though, because they had like super good like text chemistry before going into the date, right, Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I still think it's weird that he just left after

something high happened. That is the weirdest point. I mean, if if you're into somebody, it doesn't matter how early you have to get up the next morning. Yeah, it just doesn't. pretty good time. The thing that we don't understand, though, is she's saying after the movie was over, she wanted to go out and grab some more drinks with you, and you said no, And we're just wondering why, Like, why not why not just go have one more beer and get to know her a little bit longer? Yeah? I mean, look, she was great. I had a really great time too. I mean I really wish I could have gone out by night. I just I couldn't. Oh no, ba,

are you not single? Is that what you're saying? No? No, I'm single. I'm not sure how to tell you guys this, Um are your hands fake, fake big hands that you put onto the press. Women doesn't even know what you're talking Summer Summer, that you have some pretty nice big hands and oh god, I haven't heard that since like middle school. Well, so explain it to me. I'm not getting it. Look, I worked there and we're kind of short staff right now, so like normally it's not a big deal. I mean, they usually have enough people, and one's not a big deal, like leading my post to go see a movie for a few hours coming back. Wait, you were you were

you were working that night that you were out with Summer. Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, that could be a problem for creating a good friend. Yeah, the counter. Yeah, so, like what happened was when I did that counter thing, like their security footage and one of the bosses saw me on that footage. And honestly they fired me. Oh yeah, we surprised guys who had a date in the middle of the shift. Are you saying that this is Summer's

fault that you got fired because she wanted cocorn? No, no, no, no, not at all. She was amazing. I mean, I just feel like totally embarrassed and ashamed about the whole situation. But why would your caller back and not tell her, Well, he doesn't have money to bring on a date anymore, Brooks, Yeah, cell phone bill anymore to make that call. I'm like working up things behind the scenes here, you know, like I'm trying to get another job, and then I'll have

enough money and I can respond, you know. And just from that whole situation, man makes sense. I mean, I'm sorry she would have just even though like to meet you for a cup of coffee and a walk, Like you can go on cheap dates too. He literally tried to impress a girl and lost his job because of well, I mean, he could have scheduled a little bit better call it a cheap date. He assuming, just because he works concessions at the movie theater, that he's a poor person.

I'm assuming that he used to work concessions, and now he doesn't before he doesn't have a paycheck coming, he slamming Michael Will Summer has been on the other line. Listen to this whole time. I'm helping Michael. He said he couldn't afford a date. I'm sorry, Summer just heard all of that. Yeah, wait what yeah, yea some are you there? Yeah? Hi Michael. Hey, Oh my god, I I him. I don't even know what to say. I

feel like such an idiot. I mean, why didn't you just tell me I've been doing so well since it will happen. I just was like, there's no way this girl's gonna be into me. You just to admit that counter thing was like pretty badass right there. No, I know why you were so comfortable back there. Oh my god, Michael, why did you schedule a date during your shift? Why didn't you just wait till you had a night off. It was just economical. I mean I was just like, this,

this makes more sense to do it this way. Like he works, he doesn't want to go back to work on his night off. Yeah, he wants to take her there during one of his nights on. Yeah, I think it kind of makes they talked about going to a movie together, and he worked there and he doesn't want to go back there on a date. Right now, there's a girl in the lobby. Once this is over. I'm not against multitasking, but I don't know that that is the best use of your time. Well clearly, because never

again will I try to do that. That That was stupid. I fully admit this. Yeah, well now he can't. Now you can't. But it'd be really nice book if you said like one positive thing about it for this entire phone bo So what's one nice thing that you'd like to say? I think Michael's really sweet, and I think that he did make a dumb decision that he regrets, but finding a man who can learn from his mistakes is quite a feat of itself. Yeah, there you go.

work a totally normal first date Summer on us. Um, I'm just curious, like, now that you're not at the movie theater, what kinds of jobs or what jobs are you applying for? Honestly? Like mostly until like also like a a warehouse, say lawyer, say lawyer, and you know, down on the road, I lost a lawyer. There you go, Summer, Is that a yes from you? Yeah? Absolutely?
