Episode description

Charles Shriver outlines where the Global Allocation Fund may fit in an investors portfolio, noting that its broad diversification, moderate risk rating and focus on long-term growth could make it an attractive option as a core position and also as a satellite position.

Transcript

Given its broad diversification, as well as focus on long-term growth and a moderate risk profile, it can service as a standalone strategy. As well, it can be used in a core and satellite context, where global allocation can serve as the core around which to array diversifying strategies or more focused strategies to help tailor the overall portfolio to meet client objectives.

Importantly, if you have a strong domestic focus in your portfolio, Global allocation can provide an effective and convenient way to take full advantage of the broad global opportunity set to benefit from the full potential of global equities, global bonds, and alternatives.
