I'm speaking today with Steve Liberatore, who's the Head of ESG/Impact, Global Fixed Income at Nuveen and portfolio manager for the Nuveen Global Green Bond Fund. Steve, great to see you again. Thanks for joining me today. Thanks for having me, Matt. Steve, now, Nuveen, you're known for delivering strong long-term performance in the Impact/ESG space. But over the last few years, you've also been winning awards for your Impact reporting.
Can you explain to our audience what exactly an impact report is and why it matters to investors? Sure. You know, next to our financial performance, our Impact reporting is the next most important set of data that we provide to our investors. What it is, is it allows us to go through and track how the proceeds are utilized from the investments we're making.
And for our investors, it allows us to be able to communicate to them how their capital is being deployed and the outcomes that are being derived from the investments that we're making on their behalf. So they can see things like, megawatt hours of power produced from renewable generation, or they can see the number of affordable housing units that have been constructed through investments made with their capital.
So it's a real way for us to, in addition to our financial results, enhance the information, understanding of how our capital is being utilized for our investors' benefit. And in a way, it really allows us to tie our investors’ values with their investment positions. Thank you for that explanation, Steve. Much appreciate it. Thanks, Matt.
