Once upon a time in the early 2010s, black IPA was the "next big thing" in craft brewing. Its popularity has since waned, but the inherent contradiction at the center of the style (black AND pale!?) continued to fascinate some brewers and beer drinkers - including Mike and Ryan - leading to a recent resurgence in popularity. In this episode, Mike attempts to brew his own version of this unique IPA substyle.
