The reason why Yaakov was filled with fear and awe of Heaven when he woke up from his dream is similar to the fear that Moshe experienced when seeing the burning bush and then covering his face; Fear of Heaven is generated by the Keter as the prerequisite for experiencing true Da'at which is what the Keter is meant to prepare a person to experience etc.
