Based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24:
The fact that Hashem tells Yaakov that He is with him shows two points: 1- That by Yaakov's Mitzvah performance with joy, he actually elevates Hashem Himself (so He is "with" Yaakov) 2- that the strength a power itself to do Mitzvot with joy comes from the knowledge that Hashem is always with a person no matter how low he may fall, etc.
